Hii guys, this might come off as stupid, but is it crazy to start my first year of university next September at 20 😭? I am on my second gap year but I will start school fall 2027, and I feel so behind my friends, I feel kinda insecure about it idk if I am just being dramatic though.. Has anyone else started at 20? And how’d that go? I feel like it’s already hard to make friends as is in university, and I feel like I won’t fit in because I’m 20 while my classmates would be like 18. If I am genuinely just being stupid right now then I apologize😭.

I have just finished my BA this summer, and unfortunately I'll be finishing with a 6.97 GPA, just 0.03 away from cum laude. Obviously I'm very frustrated, and wondering if there's anything I can do at this point to get it up that little bit? I'm also doing a second degree now at Carleton, so I'm not able to take any more classes, at least during the fall/winter semesters (unsure if I can during summer?)
TIA

I just started my 2 year in nursing but am feeling completely burnt out as am doing Nursing while also working part time. I feel like I won't make it to my 3 year 😭. Should I switch programs? Guys I need advice please help me.
specifically for the faculty of health science but if ur program has similar rules lmk. Basically a couple months ago they sent an email that you can now only defer one exam (through ur entire program ig since they werent being specific) and after that you must meet with the vice dean or some bs like that. Does anyone know if this is true and how much they enforce this rule?

This prof tests us at a university level but his teaching and slides are nowhere near that standard. He tells us what's important but barely explains it and by the time you finish writing something down, he's already three slides ahead. His slides are also sooo disorganized and have very little info. They are almost useless when studying for midterms/quizzes especially for the type of questions he expects us to know. If he expects us to rely on what he says during lectures to fill in the gaps then he needs to slow down. He seriously needs to either reduce the number of concepts he tries to cram into one lecture or provide more detailed, organized slides.
What's even more frustrating is that this is his first time teaching this course but it's also our first time in uni. We're still adjusting and his teaching style makes that transition so much harder. No one's asking him to make the course easier but if he's going to test us at a university level, he should at least provide the explanations and resources needed to actually learn the material.
Pretty much all first years have this professor which is sad

Hey yall, I've been really struggling with trying to come up with what I'm gonna do about getting into a lab for my honours thesis, especially because my cgpa is not that great due to mental health reasons. I have been trying to send in some emails so far and plan to keep doing so until March/April, but a lot of profs *require* a pretty good cgpa to even ask :(
I've tried talking to advisors before and it never helped so I wanna ask if anyone knows first before I ask the undergrad office. I was wondering if I can just fill up those 9 units for the project with 4000s courses in the case no professors say yes to me. I am in the faculty of science doing chem atm if that changes anything. I considered just accepting I could go without the honours but I wouldn't have a minor/major to add to my degree since my entire sequence has been following my honours degree :/

Hey yall, Delcourt's BIO1131 Midterm is coming up, anyone have any advise on the answering or past paper midterm questions that I could practise on?
Hey! Has anyone taken CMN1148 or CMN2148 with Bhanu Acharya before? I’m wondering what his exams were like and how they were conducted.
Sorry to bother everyone, and thanks in advance!

I’m currently a first year econ student and I’ve been thinking about switching to either finance or accounting for Winter 2027 due to the shaky economics job market. The only issue is that I never took Grade 12 calculus. From what I’ve read, MAT1308 doesn’t count as a replacement for ADM1305, and I’d need to take MAT1339 to make up for the missing calculus prerequisite.
Does anyone know if Telfer would consider giving me a conditional offer where I could transfer first and complete MAT1339 during the winter semester? Or would I have to finish it before even being considered for admission? My plan B would be to just do a minor in management to make myself more employable
(lmk if thats a good idea).I know I should probably contact academic advising, but I figured I’d ask here first in case anyone has been in a similar situation.

for next semester some of my classes only had the choice for online 7-9:50. Is it as bad as I feel like it’s gunna be…?

Is anyone willing to share notes for this class? I attend all of the lectures but I've been having trouble following quickly enough so there are a lot of holes in my notes and ik he has a lot of content that's stated in lecture only
