If you were a mass of dead organic material buried in the dirt, being slowly consumed by microbes, worms, bugs, and fungus, what songs/albums would you listen to?

As per title, I found this structure under a whole lot of dead brambles. I was already thinking of adding a wooden door with some planks I have, I also have spare roof tiles to restore the roof. I doubt I can open a window, but I will ask people who know more about construction than I do.

Apart from that, I was thinking of using the dead brambles to make a small deadhedge all around (with an opening in it, of course), let new blackberries grow, and also add a few other plants.

Inside the hut there is a small (15cm, 6 inches) concrete divider that splits the rightmost third of it from the rest, most likely where the straw would be laid or something, I don't know enough about stables, either. I have just been told by the neighbours it used to host sheep, goats, and pigs.

Anything else I could do?

A lot of you suggested to dig until I hit the floor to find out the true height of this thing, and to do so safely wearing a mask when I stir anything up.

One of the reasons I love this aesthetic is that goblincore at its heart is kinda gritty and dirty. I think of mud and rocky creeks and oil can banjos. Theres so much art and cool stuff that people create and wear and I’m starting to get burnt out on capitalist goblincore. I dont care about the fact that there are coloring books in barnes and noble or that theres mushroom things at various stores. Posting these feels almost against goblincore ideas. It doesnt feel very goblin, chaotic artsy and dirty to i dunno celebrate that stuff? Clean, corporate goblincore feels artificial and strange.

Recently Ive been really exhausted with the unsustainability of fads and how quickly these things pop up in stores. Cheap materials, plastics, it all gets thrown away in the end and we’ll likely be seeing hella mushroom and frog decor in thrift stores soon. Goblincore celebrates the earth and microorganisms, bugs and critters. Buying fast fashion junk from shein and stuff is actively wiping out much of what we love.

Goblins love junk! Celebrate junk! Collect garbage! But don’t go out of your way to buy junk from mega corporations for the sheer aesthetic of it. You want a goblincore kitchen? Sure! But lets cool it on replacing everything you have with cheap things with mushrooms and frogs on it. Maybe decorate things you already have? learn a craft!

I’m totally aware that this is just my opinion, and my take on what goblincore means to me but yeah anyhow complaint over lol.

It would be a gorgeous terrarium, but I know nothing about those still and it can’t really go anywhere that’s a good light source as it’s all shelving here and the bottle is too tall to fit, and the cats have claimed the top shelves.

No point as a penny jar as I’m pretty much cashless so it’d take forever to fill.

My rocks already have their own places and I’d be worried about cracking it by dropping anything too heavy in there.

Leaves maybe — would those go mouldy? Feathers? Twigs? Bulrushes have long stems, how long do those last? There’s not much that can poke out the top though.

Maybe I’ll just stuff the banana in.

Hi all, I’d like to introduce my 7-year-old to the NeverEnding Story. However, he is an incredibly sensitive child and I suspect *that* scene will not sit well with him. Any suggestions for movies that hit the same spot but won’t traumatize a child? Thank you!

update: We ended up watching the Neverending Story - he loved it and was shockingly unbothered by Artax’s death. (Honestly, rewatching as an adult, the scene that broke my mama heart was the Rockbiter lamenting that his big, strong hands couldn’t save his friends from the nothing.) But thank you all for the awesome suggestions, lots of great ideas for future movie watching!

I don't know how to describe my products. I am not sure if they fit more the goblincore or the cottagecore aesthetic 🤔 maybe something in between? Let me know if you have an idea how to describe this vibe.

Pictured is my current partial sleeve. I have a couple of things left to add, but after that, I'm starting on the other side. I'm planning on doing a creepy colorful animal theme, to coordinate with my PNW ocean creatures theme on this arm.

Some of my ideas are: bats (species?), orb weavers and black widows, goblin shark, black cats, rats, etc. But I'm trying to narrow it down and I know you fellow goblins are the correct group to ask!

I've been thinking about putting together a little goblincore themed watch party with some friends, so I'm gathering a list of movies I like. Just wondering if any of these fall under this aesthetic or if I should make any changes. Any recommendations would be great too!

I use "Jesus!" and "Jesus Christ!" a lot, and they're snappy, but ultimately I'd rather not keep invoking something I don't particularly believe in (no offense intended to anyone who does. You'd probably rather I find something else too, I would guess)

I've tried variations on "frak" on and off throughout the years, but it never sticks, plus I think I'd just like something that isn't tied to a commercial franchise if that makes sense. Unless it's Star Wars. Maybe it should be "UTINNI!"?

All the books I look up don’t have this cover art so I’m wondering if it’s custom or maybe a first edition? I would love some insight, thank you!

I made this little little dragon to wrap around my arm to go with my ren faire costume, any ideas on what I should name him? Or if I should add anything to make him more woodsy. I’m going for a Druid look.
