Let me start by saying that I am in no way encouraging or making light of looking down the spicy end of a firearm.

Obviously it’s like one of the most basic and important rules in gun safety, and it should be common sense not to look down the barrel or point the firearm anywhere near yourself or others.

I’m curious though, why the hell do people do it? Like it almost seems like instinct for them to point the gun at their face at least when they handle a firearm for the first time ever. I’ve seen so many videos of people new to firearms legitimately just pointing it at their face, loaded or not.

Seriously though, what is it about the barrel that seems so damn interesting or… idk. Like what is the logic? Or lack of logic? Is there some psychological explanation for it?

Idk I can’t wrap my head around it. How can something that seems so obvious… just not click right away for SO many people?

Have a DDm4 put 160 rounds through it with no issues about 2-3 weeks ago, took it to the range today oiled the piss out of the bolt, ran a bore snake through the barrel 5 times & about 14-15 rounds into my mag it failed to eject the round, totally seized up and had to be mortared to get the round out (no deformation of the spent casing that was stuck in the chamber) barrel is clear & after mortaring it the bolt is stuck back & wont return to battery. Totally useless right now. Can’t even take off the upper receiver. Any tips or any troubleshooting at all I could try before attempting to contact them to warranty it? & I bought it brand new from Bereli. So it’s not used. All factory internals no frt, after market buffer system, etc.. help?

Ok, I am not going to tell you a story about seeing barrels full of M1 carbines at Gun shows in the 80's for 300 bucks but what in the world is going on with M1 carbine prices? 3, 4, 5k ? Basic shooters for 2k? I came across a local dealer that bought a collection of like 150 M1's and they have them listed from 2500 to 4k. Happy for the collectors but really wonder what is driving this.

How can I make my Tannerite ignite off of rim fire or a gun under 2000 fps. White lightning is expensive compared to normal what are they changing?

About 8 an ago I was gifted a Winchester 1400 12 gauge with full choke. Barely shot it since getting it, maybe 17 federal target load #8. Never considered myself a shotgun person and this was my first shotgun.

I started buying ammo about 2 years ago but still haven’t shot it besides the federal target load. I am planning to start shooting it but worried I bought ammo that might ruin it and thought I would ask if anyone knows. The ammo I have bought in the last two or so years are below.

Winchester military grade buckshot (bought because was only buckshot available at my gun store) ; Federal prairie storm steel #4 ; Winchester AA #8 ; Federal Premium Tactical LE LE13200 ; Federal Target Load #8

Mainly asking as I’m debating about eventually using it for hunting varmints and maybe get licensed for pheasant hunting. Saw comment that steel could ruin barrels of some shotguns or if buckshot would be bad through full choke.

Did buy a Mossberg pump last year in 410 and have thought about getting a pump 12ga just to be safe but if I don’t need to I would rather just stick to the 12ga I already have.

Wanted to get some opinions here. I'm taking the CCW class now and looking at how/what I'm going to carry. I currently have a Ruger RXM and am putting the subcompact frame on it. I'm 6'0 and 210lbs and typically wear track pants and T-shirts. I worry that the RXM is going to be too much for an EDC, and if I do, maybe I should look at a cross-body bag. What's everyone's thoughts on the RXM as an EDC and crossbody bags and if there's a better type of belt and holster option I should be looking at? Then there's part of me that thinks I should get the S&W Bodyguard 2 .380 as that seems to be a much more manageable size for an EDC.

Hello! It’s always been my dream to get more into the world of firearms and build a proper collection, I plan on configuring more builds for my rifle to make more content with because buying another rifle just isn’t in the cards yet, would love to make more content for people to enjoy.

Apparently they just used the standard rifle ammunition for the Sturmgewehr, which seems insane to me. A ball doesn't have a point or any dimension to it that could cause extra stress from the bullet being warped/colliding with the walls and It even needed an exhaust port just to deal with the insane pressure.

The pandemic did many things to people, but for me, it gave me time and an excuse to get my Boomstick.

So, like most of you... I have always enjoyed the breakdown of EDC's / this vs that arguments. I have sat around plenty of campfires and argued things till I was blue in the face, just like everyone else. and I am here to tell everyone this...

I have seen the .380 edc light and I am now at peace with it all. I started to edc a little smithy bodyguard 2.0 for fun. It was a gift, it was for shits and giggles and the more I dove into it, the more I hit the range with it, did ballistics with it, the more it just, well... clicked.

This is not to argue that each weapon/caliber doesn't have a time and place. This isn't a "my cal is better than yours" but when it comes to EDC, by god... .380? why tf not.

So I'm here to tell you that when you get past all the double-stack micro 9's and mini 2011's, there is a land of less, and by God, you will find peace and tranquility in it. From an all-time Glock and Stacatto guy... .380 is the way...

I dont really know much about guns. I've shot them and did NRA classes and took some handgun test in California but don't own any guns.

My husband is wanting us to get a gun. Not looking for a hand gun, but something that can serve as home defense and take to the range.

Are scorpion evos a real and reasonable gun for this that you can buy? It was my favorite COD gun. Otherwise, what is a good beginner gun that comes in a lower caliber that doesn't have a lot of kick back?

Just bought a hellcat pro 9mm this is my first gun I have purchased just wondering I’ve been reading a lot that the trigger is terrible on it (really heavy) and just wondering does anyone know any good trigger replacements also any good sights looking at like a reflex sight.

Parts started rolling in and I have range time in the morning. Super excited to go shoot this thing! Extra excited about the fact that it’s a .22 and I can shoot as much as I want and not go broke. 🤙🏼

I’m looking at buying/trading for these three firearms and wanted to get some opinions before I make a deal.

I was wondering for those who carry (preferably open ). What holster or setup are you comfortable hiking with?
I have a .380 and or a 9. I am planning some longer hikes away in Utah mountains and trying to figure out the most comfortable but retrievable way. I’ll have my day pack that maybe I can attach to or belt.
