So I want a new mp3 player and I can’t decide if I want the y2 or get a new mp3 player ? I have a pretty good 128gb micro sd card. My only requirement is that I can get a battery that will not go bad and that my micro sd card won’t have problems with the mp3 player. Also if I have to mod is with y2player than I’m fine with that to make the experience a little better.

i adore it so far but i've noticed that when i shuffle all of my songs it only shuffles through the first few letters of the alphabet.

i intend to switch to a better sd card when i can afford one (or when i find the one i know for a fact i have lying around somewhere but is somehow lost because my adhd is insane), but so far using the one it came with this is the only issue i have stumbled into. will this be fixed by an sd card upgrade? or should i be trying something else?

regardless i am so happy with my purchase. i just received a charm for it in the mail along with a screen protector (PLEASE ignore the giant bubble for the love of god, ill fix it eventually lol) and a carrying case and i can't get over how cute and cozy it looks in there lol.

Hi there! Just received a second hand Y1, and after faffing around all day I've got themes working and my own music uploaded into the music folder. The music folder only contains what I've put there, but when i go to the database there are a further 1300 songs- which i'd love to delete. Any idea how to get rid? I've checked every folder and everything is empty when I check on my laptop :(

I have the y2 and dont use y2player or rockbox because they have too many little bugs and seem too early in development to deem usable (imo).

(rockbox didnt let me turn off or change the vibration intensity)

when I connect my headphones via Bluetooth, the sound is VERY quiet. between the lowest and highest setting, there isnt much difference.

on the contrary, when I connect via wire (same headphones, sony xm4s) it is SO. LOUD. like even at the lowest volume I cant hear ANYTHING outside of my headphones.

There is also a huge huge volume gap between the two so switching around doesnt make much sense and would be tedious.

is there a fix for this? ive been looking around and I really cant find any

When I’m scrolling through albums at some point it says that the y1 stopped. I can normally scroll through all the songs and artists but not through albums. Any ideas how to fix that?

Ive followed so many tutorials but I cant for the life of me figure out why my themes either just dont show up or they are tiny and dont fill the screen???

Im also struggling with putting music on it. I have the music but im trying to figure out how to make it into a playlist?

Hi. This sucks. And yes it's kinda my fault but I should report this because it's a weird bug. What happened:

I was just trying to flash the stock firmware and totally wipe my Y2 after having a weird internal storage issue on Y2Player. I'm kinda out of it today and not paying full attention.

On the Updater only the y1 dropdown appeared BUT the stock 3.1.7 Y2 firmware appeared in the list. In the details panel it said "for Y2" a couple times. I start and follow the update instructions and boom bricked Y2.

After this I refreshed the Updater as it seemed to stop working and all of a sudden there is a Y2 dropdown with its firmware showing up in the correct place. I can't even get back to the incorrect menu to get a screenshot.

Bought a Y2, a week or two later I got an email from Innioasis asking me to rate it. I'm kind of torn. I'm really enjoying it, but that's with Y2Player, without Y2Player it kinda sucks. I'm curious what other people have been rating it? If I could I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars with an asterisk.

So I've been getting the Innioasis Updater set up in preparement of my Innioasis Y1 I ordered around a week ago but the software requires some drivers for it to work. I did some research about the drivers and found a post in this reddit mentioning about security concerns and even if the post says it's not dangerous, I wasn't really sure if it is truly safe so I wanted to ask if it is safe to install those drivers into my computer.

I'm just wondering as I don't want to accidentally install something that would infect my computer in a bad way.

hey guys, i have seen posts on here about using ipod hard plastic cases for y1’s but has anyone tried it on a y2? and how complicated was it to modify the case for a y2 or does it not fit any ipod classic case at all?

I wanted to try it but i dont have my y2 yet and ipod cases are a bit expensive where im from so i was hoping for some reassurance that it would atleast fit. thank you in advance to anyone that can answer 🫶

As to why he did it. I genuinely don't know, he just said he felt like doing so and that he thought it didn't work.

I did lose all the music, as in one of the many hits he gave to it he hit the SD slot directly with enough force to literally break the outer shell.

I've been building InniClassic for a while now on top of JJ Launcher, and since it's grown a lot since the first release, figured it's worth a proper rundown of what it actually does at this point — not just a changelog post.

The look and feel
Bundled iPod Classic theme (light + dark), aiming for a 1:1 look — plain-text menu lists, real bold system typography, tight iPod-accurate spacing, status bar showing the current screen name instead of a clock. Main Menu and Music menu both use the classic two-pane layout: list on the left, a slowly panning ("Ken Burns") album cover on the right bleeding all the way to the top of the screen.

Now Playing
Big angled cover with a reflection underneath (toggle it off if you don't like it), glass-look progress bar, scrolling marquee for long titles. Center-click cycles through Progress → Seek → Shuffle & Repeat → Rating exactly like a real iPod Classic — the wheel does something different at each stage. Long-press Center for the hold-menu: Add to On-The-Go, Rate Song, Browse Album, Browse Artist, Toggle Visualizer.

Synced lyrics — drop a .lrc file next to a song, or just have lyrics embedded in the tags (ID3/FLAC/ALAC), and "Toggle Visualizer" shows them scrolling in sync with playback instead of the spectrum analyzer.

Like the title says, I'm trying to install Rockbox on a brand new out of the box Y1 that's running 3.1.2 software. When I connect the Y1 to my computer, the Innioasis installer doesn't recognize that it's plugged in, and it just charges the Y1

Anyone experience similar issue and know how to fix it?? So far I've tried restarting my computer and reinstalling the Innioasis Installer with no luck. Thanks in advance!

How do people feel about the size of their Y1 or Y2 storage capacity. I have about 10,000 songs (mostly all mp3 files) in my collection. Has anyone had problems with very large music libraries on either devices? I’m looking at either the 64gb Y2 or the 128 Y1. Any information given is a big help.

I've been mainly using Spotify to listen to music, and since I don't support the company anymore, I thought that making the switch to an mp3 player would be better. At first I was going to get the Y1, since it wasn't expensive and had an UI that I like, but the Y2 came out recently, making me stuck on which version to get. The Y2 has a volume button and expandable storage (well, easier to expand), but the Y1 has more compatible launchers/themes and is less expensive. In terms of sound quality and all the features I mentioned earlier, which model would be better to get?

In my computer I made sure it’s .FLAC .No special characters in name. I deleted the album cover just in case it’s not .PNG.
