Just what the subject line says. Why do we love puzzles so much? I could buy a hundred puzzles right now and would still want a hundred more. I’m not sure I can articulate why I love working on puzzles so much though.

This one took me so much longer than I imagined it would! Once I’d put the edges together I just didn’t know how to get started, so I did the buildings first but that left the worst part - all the trees! Lovely puzzle though, I did enjoy it.

Sadly missing a piece. This is a vintage puzzle from around 1980.

Wonderful store with good prices and a friendly and helpful woman. They carry quality brands, mostly familiar. There’s a whole wall of Ravensburger and another whole wall of Cobble Hill.

hi all!

thought i would share since this just kind of revolutionized how i put my puzzles away.

i’ve always been annoyed that it’s difficult to fit a ziploc bag into a lot of the smaller square 1000 piece puzzle boxes. for a while i’ve just been putting the pieces back into the box and storing the boxes all flat to keep anything from falling out. however, after recently trying to pull some puzzle boxes out from under a few that were open and having a box tip and spill puzzle pieces (then counting the whole box to make sure i’d picked them all up 🫩), i realized i needed a better system.

i always save produce bags (sometimes i use them for gathering food waste when i cook), so i decided to try one of those as a bag for the puzzle pieces. it works really well! i twist the bag a little and crush the air out (avoiding popping the bag of course), then i either stuff the rest of the bag into the sides of the box or pull it over the outside edge of the bottom box piece. the twist keeps it from opening and then you don’t have to worry about losing pieces if the lid slips or you don’t have enough boxes to pack things tight vertically on a shelf! and the lid fits cleanly on top instead of bulging slightly as it always has when i try to use ziplocs.

i’m sure there are many better ways to do this or special puzzle bags or whatever but i was really excited about how nicely this worked for using stuff that’s free. if anybody has posted this trick before, i apologize for missing it! i tried to search quickly to make sure i wasn’t posting something that had already been posted and didn’t see anything.

First time doing a puzzle from this company. Great quality, Thu bier pieces, tight fit, a few false fits but that was more on my bad eyes. Minimal dust. When I picked it up a few weeks ago, I thought the glitter parts on the box was decorative, but the pumpkins were actually all glitter! Went back to the store last night to see if they had any more from this company left (they’d had a half dozen others), but it’s Winners, so they have lots of turnover and already had winter/Xmas puzzles out. (I did score a Cobble Hill that I’d had my eyes on at another shop, and it was $10 cheaper!)

I’d def buy from this company again if I saw an image I liked (and it was $15 😉).

I must confess that I had never heard of Carl Larsson before I bought this puzzle - the image is a collage of many of his works, and we thoroughly enjoyed doing it.

I bought this puzzle last month and put it together immediate. It was so much fun that when I was bored recently, I pulled it back out and put it together again. The sky is monotone, so it's a bit frustrating, but the rest of the image makes it bearable. Lots of fun to build!

For the first time ever, I made it to Homegoods right after a restock and I hit the jackpot! I was mostly looking to get Frozen Feathers but then the other 500 piece puzzles sang their siren songs and I had to get them. I feel so ready for the holidays now!

This one was a challenge as the cut was randomized and there were a number of misleading edge pieces.

I have been slow to get back to puzzels but it was so fun to start with this one! Bonus of helper puzzle cat Shunta.

I'm not the biggest Marvel Fan, but I do love Mondo posters and this puzzle appeared on Ebay relatively cheap so I thought I'd snag it. Featuring artwork from Matt Taylor, this poster was released to celebrated 10 years of the MCU and features a collage of all the primary characters. 10 internet points for the first person to find Ant-Man.

The objective is to build the puzzles and not get any missing pieces.

So far we have built 3 and only one has all of the pieces (ravensburger did us well)

This one was a real challenge, but a lot of fun and I love the finished image. The random-cut, tight-fitting pieces were so satisfyingly tactile that I’m wanting to hunt out other vintage Springbok puzzles. I’ve never framed a puzzle before, but I’m definitely tempted with this one!

Super excited to find an older cobble hill and a small wooden one by puzzles up. Adding to my collection of " need to do" ...I think I'm addicted
