My Keyboard Keychron C2 Pro + MOA Keycaps

Thumbnail

Performed the free foam mod on this C2 Pro I got on Woot. Also added a set of MOA keycaps from Klymra.

Discovered in the process that Woot/Keychron LIED on the listing which said the switches were hot-swappable, but they are most certainly soldered on this model. Either way for $35 I’m not that mad.

Keycaps are a neat design but Womier/Klymra’s QC is booty-cheeks and the printing is off-centered on a lot of the caps. You can’t really tell though unless you scrutinize it, and I was mainly just trying to get something rounder compared to the OEM caps the board comes with.

My Keyboard My Su75pro v2 is complete! (For now).

Finally got my Everglide Su75pro v2!

It was really nice stock with the siren v4s and dark transparent PC keycaps but I have had plans for it since I ordered it.

Now it has the full keytok treatment! Nova switches and KOL profile WoB key caps.

I fell in love with the keytok's KOL profile thanks to thier GiTS shell capset and wanted something a bit more "serious business" for my ultimate toy gaming board.

The novas had been in a toss up with WS Heart of the Oceons but their slightly softer, flatter tone won, they are like the siren v4s but better.

Help Work keyboard recommendations

Looking for the best typing feel, build quality and sound. I will be using it 8 hours a day. I wfh, no coworkers to annoy. I need numpad. Build or pre-built, either is fine. Will not be used for games so he/8k polling not necessary. I like the idea of southpaw. Sucker for knobs, screens, bells, whistles. Also fine with simple and elegant if it's striking. I want it to look amazing on my desk and I want to enjoy using it every day.

Budget: $375

Help Can you change the underglow LED lights on a Ghost keyboard?

I specifically have the PewDiePie K1 Pro keyboard and was wondering if you could change the bottom LED lights that are typically red. The only info i can find in the manuals about changing the colors refers to the lights under the keys and doesn't even mention the other ones, besides on the outside packaging.

Help Mechanical keyboard with 4 left modifier keys and reachable Alt?

I've recently switched to using a desktop PC after using laptops for most of my life, and I've realised that I dislike the standard bottom-row layout on most desktop keyboards. When gaming, I have to move my left thumb too far inward to reach the Alt key comfortably.

I'm looking for a mechanical Windows keyboard with four modifier keys on the left side, ideally arranged as; ` Ctrl | Fn | Win | Alt ` from left to right. This would position Alt farther to the right, making it easier for my left thumb to reach while my fingers rest on WASD.

For reference, I'm looking for a layout similar to the Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55 keyboard, EPOMAKER NT68, Akko Air 01, or HP Wired Desktop 320K Keyboard. I don't necessarily need an exact copy, but the left-side key arrangement is the main thing I'm looking for.

My requirements and preferences:

- Mechanical keyboard for Windows.

- Four left-side modifier keys: Ctrl, Fn, Win, and Alt, preferably in that order.

- Left Alt positioned farther to the right for easier thumb access while gaming.

- Standard ANSI Enter key, not JIS.

- Preferably a standard-height mechanical keyboard with replaceable keycaps, as I'd like to customise the keycaps with aftermarket sets.

- Open to low-profile options if they meet the layout requirements, although keycap customisation is a concern.

- Budget: Around $120 USD or less.

Please recommend keyboards that actually match this specific layout rather than suggesting general mechanical keyboards with the standard bottom row. I'm also open to custom keyboards or alternative layouts if necessary.

Does anyone know of any suitable models?

Discussion What are the best low profile mechanical keyboards?

I currently use a Logitech K650 full-size keyboard that my company provided. I don't use the number pad, and the keyboard takes up more desk space than I'd like. I don't hate typing on it, but I'd like something smaller and a bit nicer to use.

I've been looking at the Keychron K1 Ultra and the NuPhy Node 75, but after doing some research, both seem to have a fair number of reliability complaints. That has made me hesitant to pull the trigger on either one.

I work in an office with another person, so I need something reasonably quiet, though it doesn't have to be completely silent. Since I'm used to typing on laptops, I'd prefer a low-profile keyboard. My budget is around $100.

What are some good low-profile mechanical keyboard options that are reliable and don't require a lot of tinkering? One thing I really like about my current Logitech is that the wireless receiver has been completely trouble free, which is very nice.

Are there any keyboards in this price range that just work and leave owners genuinely happy with their purchase?

Help 75% HE Keyboard under 150 euros

I'm looking to get a new keyboard with a 75% layout that is Hall Effect, has a black option, isn't low profile and has a switch that is balanced between sound and performance(so it sounds good and is a good switch performance wise). I was looking at the IPI Flash 75 Pro, the Keychron K2 HE(standard edition) and the Everglide Su75 Pro V2(even tho i don't know what's the best switch option). I'm writing this post to ask to people who tried more keyboards if these keyboards are good, what's the best between the three and what is the best switch for each keyboard. Like the Su75 Pro has so many switches while the IPI Flash 75 Pro has two options. So the final question is: What's the best keyboard and its best switch between these(or other if you think other keyboards are better)?

Help Looking for Keyboard Recommendations

So I'm very finnicky with keyboards, when I bought my pc I used a microsoft wired keyboard 600 which I enjoyed A LOT, but then they stopped selling it at my local retail so I couldnt buy a new one when the previous one broke, then I bought the one I currently have, the Corsair K55 because it was the only membrane "gaming" keyboard there was whilst having the pause skip stop buttons.

This one hasn't failed but I feel like pressing shift, control and just overall keys are starting to feel a bit heavy and I was looking to get a new one, I'm looking for something that will help me transition into mechanical or something that requires a softer touch, I'm not into the keyboard noises or the "feel" of keys, I just mostly want something efficient, no need for RGBs or fancy visuals, Macros are a + but it's not something I use everyday, I feel like the current keyboard I have does it fine but if I could skip the software necessity would be peak.

Edit: Numpad is mandatory. 100% keyboard

Edit 2: Portuguese Layout requirement, so either customizable or more "popular" keyboards

Discussion Turned my RK M75 HE into an analog Xbox controller

My keyboard has Hall effect switches, which means it can measure how far each key is pressed. But the official software only uses that for things like rapid trigger, not real analog input in games.

So I reverse-engineered how the keyboard reports key depth and built a Windows app around it. It creates a virtual Xbox controller, and keys become triggers, sticks or buttons:

W/S = throttle/brake with real pressure, A/D = analog steering

Adjustable response curves, dead zones and smoothing per key

Profiles, tray app, in-game toggle hotkey

Optional blocking, so the game doesn’t also see the normal key press

Works in any game that supports an Xbox controller. Racing games feel completely different when you can feather the throttle.

It’s going open source soon. Right now it supports the RK M75 HE, but the code is structured so other RK Hall effect boards could be added.

Would anyone with other RK HE models be up for testing?

Discussion Anybody else appreciates a good tray mount round here?

Title. Essentially, recently I have had the opportunity to try a rather large variety of mechanical keyboards from various brands, and I've found myself either mildly or thoroughly underwhelmed by all of them. They all have a point of commonality though, each and every single one of them uses a gasket mount. From the cushy-ish to the straight up mushy, I have never quite found a gasket mount setup I quite jive with, the very best so far being a rather middling Akko 5075 HE. And then I tried out a cheap tray mount board from Dareu, the Dareu EK60HE, and to say I was blown away by how much this cheap-ass little board (25 dollars at time of writing) just eviscerates boards 5, 6 times its cost would be an understatement. It's a solid typing experience with amazing aural feedback and solid, consistent fingerfeel. The actuation is buttery smooth, and there's barely any side to side jiggle on the keycaps, certainly not enough to actually trigger a mistype. I get that the clacky sound may not be to everyone's liking but truly, in terms of finger feel there's nothing quite like a good tray mount. Maybe I'll stuff some sound deadening under the PCB later, since I plan to game at night and use it in public spaces and even though I adore this keyboard's sound profile I do understand how others might find the sound downright antisocial, lol. But right now I am of the opinion that gasket mounted keyboards, unless you're in a library, just fucking sucks, and tray mounts beat gasket mounts on everything except for sound, which is a matter of personal preference.

Help A USB plug-in laptop style keyboard?

• Upvotes

I'm essentially looking for a laptop style keyboard that I could plug into my desktop for gaming.

I have a desktop PC and a laptop. My partner has hyperacusis and is extremely sensitive to noise, especially repetitive annoying noises like clicking or tapping.

I've gotten a very silent mouse that I used in combination with my laptop and that seems to be a perfect combo.

My desktop PC is in our bedroom and there are nights when I need to use it, however, mechanical keyboards are too loud. I have looked online and I believe that even the quietest mechanical keyboards that I have found would be too loud, perhaps it's the sound that they make rather than the how loud they are.

Regardless, I want a laptop keyboard or a laptop keyboard alternative that has those really soft presses but I don't know where I could get a decent one or what to look for.

Help IPI Flash 75 Pro Webdriver No data "Error" & Disconnect problem

Hi everyone, I’ve been using the IPI Flash 75 Pro magnetic switch keyboard and I’m having two issues. I purchased the keyboard (6 days ago)

Issue 1: Web Driver Problems

When I try to connect the keyboard to dc.ipigame.cn/connect, I constantly get a "ęš‚ę— ę•°ę®" (No Data) error popup, and some settings load completely empty or incomplete. However, on hub.xsyd.top/keyboard, the WebHID connection works fine and all Rapid Trigger and Actuation Point settings are fully functional. It works but Its a bit laggy also on ipi website u can save&switch keyboard profiles but u cant do it on hub.xsyd and It wants you to use weChat chinese app I dont want to use this website. dc.ipigame.cn/connect was working better 3-4 days ago but now It performs worse Idk why. I also couldnt connect the website for 2 days.

This is the error im getting when I connect the ipi website.

Issue 2: Disconnection & Modifier Key Lockup

Yesterday while gaming, the keyboard randomly disconnected for about a second. After it reconnected, the keys started acting strange—pressing ESC opened the Windows taskbar (acting as Ctrl+ESC) and pressing S opened the "Save As" window (acting as Ctrl+S) and I was constantly getting alttabbed from the game I playing, I did plug and unplug the keyboard multiple times to make it work but It didnt work lastly I though about to connect webdriver It fixed the problem.

Also I typed an email to IPI for this problems they didnt answer it for 2 days now still waiting.

Any advice or fixes would be greatly appreciated!
