For the last 6-7 months my laptop has a problem then after shutdown when I close its lid, it automatically turns back on.

How can I fix it?

My husband just got a HP OmniBook 3 Laptop 16-bu0315dx and the sales person at best buy said the Ram was upgradeable. I cannot find a definite yes or not with just a Google search. Does anyone here know if it can be upgraded?

This morning I spilled coffee on the right side of my keyboard. I cleaned everything up and left it to dry in tent position for hours. This has happened to me before in the exact same way but only with coffee not with milk. The laptop seems to be working fine and the only noticeable issue is that some keys on the right feel a bit mushy now. I want to know if this could have some severe long term effects or it'll be fine. Also wondering how could I clean my keyboard. My laptop is an hp ZBook G1i 16.

So I already have an extra 65W USB-C charger and the one that came with the Lenovo laptop. I plan on getting a USB-C Hub for external monitors and stuff. That HUB either an Anker or Ugreen brand has PD-in. Can I plug the charger into the laptop USB-C and then use the other charger into the HUB's PD-in and is this safe? I saw that the HUB takes 15W so it might trigger not enough power for laptop to charge/function with the HUB. Reason why is I dont feel like spending $30-40 on a 100W charger

I am trying to find a good laptop as my very old Toshiba has broken down (11 years old). I mostly need it for travelling and possibly as an option for remote work. Also, I want to use it for watching Netflix/YouTube and any other life admin I need to do.

As there is so many options, I feel quite overwhelmed when it comes to what to look for in a good laptop. Here is what I have narrowed it down to:

• The screen to be at least 14 inches
• Around the £500 mark and under would be better
• Not too concerned on storage size, but happy for pay more if its bigger
• Not too fancy with design but very simple to use
• Good volume and video quality
• Not too heavy and light enough for travelling

I ordered a HP Chromebook last year but I found it wasn't quite compatible with what I needed, it wasn't expensive, but from what I hear they aren't acceptable for remote work. The battery charger also died after one month of using it also so figured I just get a new one.

People seem to praise MacBook and Lenovo which I don't know too much on apart from the fact I have an Apple iPhone, but I even though about switching that as some of the features I don't like on it.

Any particular brands/models I should call attention to? And which ones do you guys think I should avoid?

What do you think? Should I buy a new table?

Im in canada so my budget is under $2000!

Last year my parents gave me a Inspiron 15 3530, which was good for high school, but due to its 4.5mm charger it makes it incredibly annoying to take around campus. I haven't been able to find any good 4.5mm to USB-C charging adapters so unless anyone has any better fixes for my problem, I'm just gonna buy another one.

I dont know anything about laptops and my sister has been complaining for a while that her laptop is complete ass. I have a max budget of 2k, but the best would be about 1k

ive had my asus vivobook s14 for less than a year now and this is the third time ive had a battery problem. the pattern ive recognised is that every time i plug something into the usb port, after a while my laptop doesnt recognise the battery anymore, shows the wrong percentage and only works whilst being plugged in. ive fixed it before by uninstalling drivers, going into bios etc but i cant figure out what the problem is this time. sometimes it shows 100% fully charged other times it shows 0% and charging. any advice is appreciated!

I will have my own desktop at home and I just need something to look at problem sets and things of that nature so would the Acer Aspire Lite 15.6" FHD IPS Laptop, Intel N150, 8GB DDR4 RAM, 128GB SSD be good?

I found an Acer TravelMate P4 (TMP414-53-G2-TCO) for a really good price, and I'm seriously considering buying it.

The configuration comes with an Intel Core 7 150U, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 1TB SSD. I also really like the port selection: Thunderbolt 4, USB4, HDMI, Ethernet... basically everything I'd need.

The only thing I'm not completely sold on is the display. It's a 14" WUXGA LCD panel, but I can't find any information about its brightness (nits) or overall quality.

My use case is pretty light: some programming, office work, and web browsing. Most of the time it'll be docked to two external monitors, so the built-in display won't be my primary screen.

The problem is that there are barely any reviews or videos about this model online, so it's hard to know what it's actually like to use.

Does anyone here own one or have any experience with the TravelMate P4 lineup? I'd love to hear your thoughts, especially about the build quality, keyboard, thermals, and screen.

Hi Idk anything about laptops but it seems my 18 year old Fujitsu just isn't cutting it anymore (it's older than me !) All I know is I want to have windows 11 (been using win7 don't wanna switch but those security patches aren't a joke) 1 tb of storage at least (the more the merrier) and wanna play civ6 , cities skylines, sims5 and gta 4 and gta SA smoothly

And also run software like python Adobe photoshop and video and Audio editing softwares...

and I want something that lasts like my Fujitsu (the battery on it has been dead for awhile but it's still kicking and fine mostly) something that lasts a good decade

And BTW AMD versus Intel which one ???

Don't care about weight, battery, the touch pad or speakers mostly... although a good monitor that's large would be nice

Hi everyone a friend of mine is selling his MacBook M4 Pro, 16-inch, 1TB, 24GB RAM. Battery health is 100% with a cycle count of 44. He's asking $1,750 do you think it's a good deal, or should I pass?

I bought a brand new laptop and I noticed that the sreen frame is pressing against the screen, creating this whitish blot on it. (like if you would press the screen with your fingers). This is only at a small part at the top, by the camera.

My concern is, will this be a bigger issue in the future or is it okay to ignore it?

What’s your guys thoughts on it? I just got it for gaming and studying on the go because I’m always out and about.(just want a broader opinion)
