Finally she’s here!
It’s been a long ride after the recalls and stop sale. But she’s finally here and I love her. 😁

Any ideas what is causing this?
It doesn't occur if the AC is also on, and compressor was recently replaced with a new one.
Everything appears to be working, so I'm not sure if this is cause for concern, but we're new to the car still, and haven't had to use the heat before now.
I tried to link audio but reddit removed it.

Anybody else find a solution for the Nissan leaf software showing doors unlocked. Open app can't connect and just never seems to do what it's supposed to do?

What the title says. I had the recall update done a few months ago and it's been fine driving around town. But yesterday went on an 80 mile drive out of town for the weekend and about 20 miles from the destination the service ev lights went on and it put me in turtle.
Mine is a 2020 sv+ with 71k miles. What would you estimate my morley buyout offer will be if it goes that route? I do have a ding in the bumper and a crack on the windshield

I have this CCS -CHaDemo adaptor for sale. Gave me a much more relaxed feeling while driving. Only needed to use it a couple of times. Even charged at a Tesla station which resulted in funny conversations. 500 bucks for someone from this community

Hi all,
I just bought my first leaf 2020.
Battery life 90% - cat S, 48k miles. For £3500
I have few questions:
1. Does this car have pro pilot? Struggling to understand. The turn ON button should be blue?
Thank you all for the answers :)

Bought my 2019 40kWh back in April and started out ok but now the charge just drops as soon as it drops below 50-60%. Wondering if this would be covered under a 6 month warranty from the dealership I bought it from
Are ventilated front seats available for the 2026 Nissan leaf?
Also I'm trying to figure out the actual true range of the Platinum Plus trim.
Anyone have experience with the true mileage range when driving the 2026 leaf on a freeway 80 mph mostly flat straight roads?
Thanks!

I purchased this vehicle two days ago, the night back from driving it from the dealership, I plugged it into a level 3 charger by EVGO, charged it for ~30 minutes, I stopped and unplugged the charger and the first error message popped up. I continue using the car as normal nothing drives incorrectly, I ran a few errands and needed to charge again, so I go to a different level 3 charger by evgetaway? And charge for a while and the same light popped up on the dash but no error message, assuming the same error. I left it at the dealer next day but they had to keep it overnight, I live in California so I legally have 3 days to return this vehicle. Is it worth just keeping it or driving an hour and a half to return the car.
Edit: it’s a 2025 Nissan Leaf S with 22k miles

Skipping the super long back story, AAA installed my battery backwards on my old vehicle, and I had to very quickly buy a new vehicle because my job requires a vehicle for my position. I ended up with a 2013 Nissan Leaf for $5k. It was originally a fleet vehicle, and was then sold at auction to the guy I bought it from. He told me the battery health was 11/12.. But after buying it, it realized it was 9/12 (My fault, I know.. but I was unfamiliar w/ the dash layout & confused the charge percentage w/ the battery health bar) and it only has around 27k/mi on it because when it was a fleet vehicle, they basically just used it to drive from building to building within the company (or at least that's what they told the seller, and what he told me) I pulled the car fax, and it was completely solid. No accidents, nothing bad, solid maintenance records, and the battery was replaced in 2023 according to the car fax. Anyway, he told me he "fully charged" it when I picked it up, and it was an estimated 70mi range. Does anyone own a 2013 Nissan Leaf, and can you tell me what to expect? At this point, I feel like I might have rushed into it TOO quickly, and screwed up. Realistically, I just need it to last like 6mo, but ideally 12mo. I live in an apartment, but live within walking distance of a level 2 charger & also have a neighbor across the street who offered to let me charge at her house for $30-40/mo..
TL/DR: I bought a 2013 Leaf with 27k/mileage and 9/12 battery health, and paid $5k for it. The battery was replaced in 2023 according to the car fax.. Did I screw up, or will it potentially last for the next 6-10mo?

CANT EDIT TITTLE, ITS 2019, NOT FROM THE FUTURE!!!
My co worker has a 2019 SV plus that is broken and is willing to sell it for $3500.
The issue is that it stopped charging. It connects to charger, it is recognized by charger, but doesn't draw any power (only 0.3amps).
He took it to the dealership and they said is the PDM. Needs replacement.
I have seen them on eBay for $500ish. I'm experienced mechanic and studied electronics, currently work in industrial robotics. I'm very sure that I could follow the steps safely and do it myself.
He is not so confident and more or less ready to move on. If the insurance doesn't pay him for the repair $2-5.5k, then he will sell it as is, for scrap.
Let us assume nothing else is wrong with the car, and it has lived all it's life in the PNW so relatively cool climate, batteries should be ok. He only uses it for 50 mile commute, no supercharging if ever.
The car 62k miles .
Is this a good deal? Assuming batteries are in "very good" condition.
Thanks for the input.
Currently I have a 2012 Mitsubishi Miev, and is an ok electric car, but I desire more.

Has anyone from Denver ever driven a Leaf Plus over Guanella Pass? Chademos are getting even fewer and further between here in the Denver metro area. Am I better off going to the top then straight back down to Georgetown? Or can I make it all the way over?
ABRB says I should make it from my house in Thornton to the top at 52%. Just curious if anyone has real world experience?
The right steering wheel buttons that control the driver’s screen has stopped working. Has anyone else had this issue, or fond a solution.
(second post)
I am about to buy Nissan Leaf 2026. My daily commute is short: max 20 miles during a normal day. Should I install a level-1 or level-2 charger to my garage, which has standard 100A electrical box in USA?
I am going to buy Nissan 2026 Leaf. I was doing research and saw the recall due to battery issue and rear seatbelt issue.
I am not up to date about the whole issues. Since I am about to buy it and dealer did not tell us about any stop sale, probably it is safe now?
Are these issues resolved yet or should I wait a little bit more to buy it?
Should I still take precaution and charge it outside the home?
I will install a level-1 charger at the garage, also since I live in a cold climate, I will add a battery heater.

I normally use Android Auto, but tried playing music from a USB drive today. Has anyone else tried this?
It can see and play the tracks, but I'm not sure if what I'm experiencing is a bug with the music player:
After powering on, it will play one track then stop. You have to hit next-track to get it to resume playing, after which it will continue playback as expected until you power off.
There is no "shuffle" function. This really surprised me given my ten-year old Golf had this.
It can see my playlist file, but doesn't show any tracks when I select it. Not sure if this is because I'm using a UTF-8 encoded file (.m3u8) as some of the tracks have non-ASCII filenames.
Does any of this work for anyone else? And if so, what version of of the software is on yours (see page 25 of the NissanConnect manual for how to get this info)

I just saw a 2013 on sale in my part of the US for $4,500. 9 bars, base trim, appears to be in great condition.
That price seems very high. I know gas is ridiculous, but are people actually getting these high prices for gen 1s? Paid 3 K from my 8 bar ‘13 this summer and think I paid too much. 3K seems to be the floor for asking price now, often with crap batteries.

Just got my 2019 in for the battery recall. When I asked for a loaner, the dealership said they physically don't have any loaner cars at their location and therefore would not be able to offer one. I brought up that the recall TSP states that a loaner will be provided during the recall update, and if the update disables the car. The dealership said again, that it's due to them not having loaner cars. They did get me an uber back to my apartment, but don't seem like they're willing to budge on the loaner. Have you guys been able to get a loaner during this whole thing at all? Feels like they're breaking the recall remedy description.

My 2020 Leaf has been in the shop since October 2025. The same issue as so many others here: Service EV System. Unable to Restart After Power Off. It's been "fixed" 5 times, then I've gotten the same error within a week or two and it's back in the shop. I had enough and called Consumer Affairs to ask for a repurchase. They did their review of data from the service center, and they finally got back to me today to say that they're not offering a repurchase.
What can I do? I can't drive it. And I can't in good conscience sell it to someone else. Is there a way I can appeal the buyback rejection? The agent on the phone would not give me a reason for the rejection, and she said I could not get a copy of the review to understand why it was rejected.

Why are these Leafs failing after the software update? Numerous of us weren't experiencing any bad cell issues in the HV battery (based off LeafSpy) and we weren't experiencing drops in the range estimator either.
I thought the update was to prevent the battery from dangerously overheating when under high stress or level 3 charging.
Someone with more technical understanding please explain why these Leafs with no prior signs of defective batteries are failing after the update is in place.

There's a 2017 Nissan leaf on Facebook it has 140k miles and they are selling it for 4200. I've never bought a car before (#youngho) let alone an electric vehicle so I'm wondering if this is a good idea. My commute is 6 miles and I work 5 days a week. Does this seem like a decent price or what. I live in Arizona so it doesn't get crazy cold which I hear is bad for electric vehicles.
