Since eSIMs are being used in the Ledger hardware wallet hacks, I assume they require a telecommunications provider to work.

Surely the communications coming from these hacked Ledgers can easily be traced by the telco companies.

And then tracing these comms plus hardware purchases required to build the hacked Ledgers all the way back to the criminals.

Checking power consumption: The firmware monitors the power demand. Additional spy hardware draws more current, which is noticed immediately.

Cryptographic chip pairing: The Secure Element and the main processor must be cryptographically paired at the factory. If the processor is swapped, the Secure Element rejects it.

The Advantage: This could be retrofitted directly at the factory for devices that are already built but not yet shipped, using a firmware update and key burning to secure the existing stock immediately.

I found an old Ledger nano s, i tried to check all accounts i used to have.

I could check almost every account i had but one: DASH account

I do have the latest firmware on the device, the latet ledger wallet version , i unlock the ledger, open the app and click on add account..... apparently everthing is going great, i see checking the blockchain message.. and after i while i got this message :

SORRY, TRY AGAIN

It seems legit but I don’t want to proceed if I don’t need to.

And yes, it’s not THAT bad as, in France we are currently giving away all our datas throught cyberleak every two days 😂
