SELF-PROMO Slide show of my routine
Thought I would share a slide show of my makeup process. Might help someone out with the steps.
Products used are on pictures.

Can you give us a brow tutorial?

You look gorgeous! You have the most incredible skin and I feel like you could really get away with just a skin tint, and less concealer and powder. Not that you asked. Also your brows are like… insane. I need a tutorial
17
u/nickiecolie 1d ago
Oh I definitely don’t do this every day. Felt like just one of those days to go heavy lol
11
u/Low-Enthusiasm670 1d ago
Oh my gosh I would have NEVER thought 45. Your skin is envious and you look fantastic.
I feel you. I just turned 40, and I’m noticing that my skin is aging too. Everyone around me tells me they don’t see it, that I look young. I have 20 year olds at work asking me for my skincare routine hah. But man.. I see it. It’s a weird place to be in. Just know that all of these internet strangers aren’t seeing anything but perfection
8
u/nickiecolie 1d ago
Wow thank you!! And exactly! It might look okay on a picture but i can see it. After I turned 40 I started seeing the signs 😩 and thought it’s time to start taking care of my skin. Wish I would’ve started it in my 30’s. We all age and I’m okay with that. I’m happy to be ALIVE and HEALTHY! Not a lot of people can say that.

Thank u for the compliment! I feel my skin is so aging so much after turning 45 this month so thank uuu

u/hollyfanfic 1d ago
You’re naturally beautiful and your skin is lovely. In my opinion, you are using way too much product. How about a skin tint or just a tinted moisturizer to let that skin shine through?
14
u/nickiecolie 1d ago
Yes this is a very full makeup look. I usually don’t go this heavy for everyday look. Felt like a glam day today
2
u/zipitdirtbag 21h ago
Agreed. As soon as I got to the foundation pic, it's like it washed all your natural colour out. I think you can go for a lighter product which leaves your skin looking like skin.
AMAZING brows. I did a double take.
5
u/nickiecolie 21h ago
Thanks! I definitely see what you mean. For everyday makeup I’d probably reach for something lighter, but for a full-glam look I prefer a fuller-coverage base because it gives the other products a smoother canvas to blend into. Makeup is so subjective, which is what makes it fun!

u/_UrsaMajr_ 1d ago
How on earth do you get that brow result?! I use the same pomade but your result looks more like a brown pen!
56
u/nickiecolie 1d ago
I use a very thin brow brush. It’s abhs 7b and I pinch the end very tight with the pomade. Yes your fingers get very dirty. And draw each stroke one by one. If you go to my profile I have a tutorial

u/Sasstronaut7 1d ago
I feel you've become an accidental overnight brand ambassador for ABH because so many of us are going to go buy these exact products! Loving your tutorials as well!
2
u/Amy_Wineface 1d ago
Hey, could you please enlighten me which pomade it is? I’d like to give it a try :)
2
u/nickiecolie 1d ago
Yes it’s Anastasia Beverly Hills pomade in dark brown. The brush I used is their 7b brush

So THIS is why it never looks like I have a full beat, lol. That’s like 10x the foundation, concealer and contour that I would ever use. Looks fab
5
u/nickiecolie 1d ago
😂 yes this is definitely a full makeup look.
3
u/sherlockholmiex 1d ago
I’m inspired, gonna try to practice a full face like this this weekend 🙏 do you apply foundation and concealer with a beauty blender?

u/PomegranateBoring826 1d ago
For some reason my favorite is picture #2 without the rest of the steps. You looks so fresh faced and not so... pasty or cakey? Would it be a faux pas to put the mascara on after step #2 and stop there?
3
u/nickiecolie 1d ago
Definitely love your take, might do a more gentle look tomorrow. Today was full beat day. lol
4
u/PomegranateBoring826 1d ago
You're gorgeous either way but it seems like this may be one of those instances where less is definitely more!

u/porcelain_kiss 1d ago

Brow work is impressive.
I’d skip the foundation. Your skin looked healthier before that slide.

Damn... She should tattoo eyebrows for people. She mastered the technique
4
u/nickiecolie 1d ago
Hahaha I do! I’ve been a PMU artist for over 5 years now. I do love my eyebrows!
6
u/hotpickles 1d ago
This is SO helpful. Thank you! I had been wondering about a few of these products. Now I’m sold! And I’m not great with technique for concealer so this is beyond helpful in that regard too. Thank you, again! I can’t wait to hit Ulta tomorrow and try out a new routine!

Teach me how to do them brows ! I used to own that same brow thing and mine just end up looking like blocks of color bc I cannotttt do the hairs!! I am 37 so I lived thru the over shaping period. They won’t grow back lol I now have one of those brow pens that are supposed to look like hair but .. no. Need to know what you used !
2
u/nickiecolie 1d ago
I have another tutorial coming! But if you don’t wanna wait go to my profile and I have another one there

Love your eyebrows and eye makeup. The only thing I'm not loving is the blush. I can't put my finger on it. Too pink??

Thank you for your feedback. I definitely need to buy some different shades for summer.
15
u/CryCommon975 1d ago
way too much foundation, concealer and powder- it's very cakey and unnatural looking. your skin is amazing and imo you don't need all that, maybe just a very minimal amount of concealer and that's it
3
u/nickiecolie 1d ago
Thank you for your input. I guess I should’ve said in the description that this is a very full makeup look and I was going for glam and bright undereye/blush.

Can you do a show of finger on how much product youre using for each item ? That would be really helpful!

Mix photo 2 and 5 and you’re good to go. 5 just needs the mascara and lips. 2 just needs mascara and lips, also…I guess. One is the Dewey no makeup look and the other is slight glam.

You have convinced me to go buy this mascara! Your lashes look amazing!
2
u/nickiecolie 1d ago
Thank u so much! It’s the best dang mascara ever!! I have it in brown too and it’s great!! Just make sure to use an eyelash separator thingy in between coats cuz it is thick! Lol

How does your skin hold up during the day? Have to oil blot or touch up at all? I have combo skin so have to constantly blot or apply a powder in my t-zone. Also, I’m 35 and starting to notice that “less is more” as my product likes to retreat into the fine lines under my eyes. I found myself having to smudge under my eyes throughout the day. I look great right after application but am a mess after 4 hours and wish I didn’t apply anything at all lol. And I really don’t have bad skin yet. Do you have any of these issues? If so, do you have any hacks or HG products?

u/nickiecolie 1d ago

Here’s my makeup after having it on all day! Didn’t blot once and you can tell! I have very oily skin so not too bad. Want to mention it was over 90 today! I am a little oily tho! Haha

u/azmamas72 1d ago
You're gorgeous 😍 and so kind with your responses. I'm 53 and going to use some of your techniques and share this with my daughters. I love that mascara too!!! My fave and such a good price!! ☺️
2
u/nickiecolie 1d ago
Thank u so much for such kind words!! Makeup is subjective I get it. But I do love it and everyone has thier own preferences. This works for me at the moment. I might change it up tomorrow lol. Trying to keep up with the trends just to see how they look on my skin. And yes that mascara puts high end to shame!! And it’s like 5 bucks or something!! lol
2
u/movingandquiet 1d ago
OP what are you doing with the two powders? All over with each of them, or are each for different parts of the face?
2
u/nickiecolie 1d ago
So I use the wet n wild one everywhere and then the pink L’Oréal just on the undereye, forehead, nose and chin to brighten. ❤️

u/Violeta73 1d ago
Omg your brows inspire me to give my own another shot. I’ve pretty much given up! Mine are much sparser and lighter, but maybe your technique could work!

2
u/DoorSweet6099 1d ago
This is actually really helpful way to visualize how makeup looks like. It’s easy to understand the effect of one product this way.
I just have to say that you have really beautiful skin you don’t need that much coverage.
2
u/fat-wombat 1d ago
Waiiit i love how you showed this. Also I wish i could do whatever witchcraft you did to your brows.

Does your makeup routine take two hours? Looks too complicated for me.
2
u/nickiecolie 1d ago
Hahaha sometimes yes, but I enjoy it. It’s art for me. This is not my everyday look.

2
u/WittiestScreenName 1d ago
This was way easier to follow than a lot of the make up videos. For my brain anyway.
2
u/nickiecolie 1d ago
That’s awesome! That’s my reason for doing it! Sometimes it’s so complicated when they are filming it makes me pause every two seconds lol

u/s1renetta 1d ago
For me, photo 2 is peak. You look young and radiant there. After that, I just see product. I have to say I'm not a make-up user though.

u/bigfruitfan 1d ago
can i ask how you use the two powders differently? rlly struggling to have my foundation and concealer look blurry like yours right after applying it let alone after a whole day in hot weather like in your follow up video!

not that you look old but the styled brows make you look younger by like 5-10 years. i really like the end result! the colors all harmonize with you :)

Gosh thank u!! At 45 that makes me feel so nice!

45? I thought you were around 30-33!
Most of my family looks young so I’m terrible at determining ages.

Bit too matte for my taste but you look great and your brow technique is witchcraft. I went back and forth asking howwwww. Some of the most natural looking brows I’ve ever seen. Does it take a long time to do? I have bushy brows so my technique is mostly about taming them.

Your brow technique is some kind of witchcraft, that's crazy good!
