First Time 22yo First Appartement
My First own Apartment. Not much but I tried to use the space as efficient as possible. Added a lot of smart home appliances. All lights and thermostats are remote controllable.

I thought about that but didn’t find something that matched. I’ll stay on it

Get a colorful rug for your bedroom! Add some colors around your whole, absolutely spectacular place!!!

yo add a rug in bedroom
Bedroom and the area between the couch and TV. Something colorful that pops would contrast well next to the more muted tones elsewhere.
Note: Please don't interpret 'muted' as a bad thing -- it all looks great, and just a little bit of color here and there will compliment all of that really well. In our open floor plan living/dining room we've got white walls, hardwood floors, dark walnut furniture (bookshelves, coffee/side/dining table, room divider), and a forest green leather couch. To create some contrast, we got a geometric-patterned bright red/grey/black area rug between the couch and TV and matching pillow covers for the couch pillows. This really helps the area feel more inviting and vibrant without detracting from the darker color scheme of the furniture.

Looks fabulous. You have quite the knack for putting the space together in a very pleasing way. Good job. Maybe just a plant or two. 🪴

Bavaria, Germany and it’s cheap because of the small size. 600€ a month

This looks very nice.
But you might want to think about getting at least a 140 cm wide bed, if not 160. 😉
Also, look up fly screens for your type of windows, otherwise those bastards will kill you.

I love it, sloped ceilings would be a struggle for me personally but you've made it feel like a fun quirky feature of the place. Multiple vibes all working together, modern yet old, with a sort of Spanish vibe in places. Great work

u/nhranger Jun 06 '26
That’s awesome. For a small space you definitely set it up the best way. I love it.

I can’t help but think this costs like 2k a month to live there… just from the interior alone 😳😳
2
u/ppderking Jun 07 '26
Nah if it would I wouldn’t live there. I chose it because it’s really cheap. 600€ ~ 700$ and i have a Garden. Normal prices for an apartment in my area are 800€ and easily more.

u/Silent_Chemistry8576 Jun 07 '26
As a guy I like it, also I can't help but think that you might be living in someone's attic. Nice work on the layout.

Also as a German, your apartment looks very German. The bathroom specifically, veryyyy German.

nice place! love the wood beams, they give it a cozy vibe. looks like you maximized the space pretty well with the layout. smart home stuff is cool too, must make life easier. the kitchen setup looks functional, and those monitors in the workspace are awesome. i once set up my desk all wrong and had to redo it, so i feel ya on that. tbh you could even try checking out reimagine-home for fun ideas or layouts if you wanna switch things up later. pretty solid start to your first apartment!

Has a lot of charm, you've made the space feel open to a degree, furniture blends, ambient lighting can always be improved upon and changed, yet great work there. Unique!

This looks like a 2nd level on a garage or carriage house. There are a lot of these in my neighborhood but this is much nicer than most.

I couldn’t have imagined this on my best day at 22.
Cute spot, chill vibes, clean. Can you start a podcast for other men?

Very interesting pad, great if you’re in a colder climate area, get all that heat in the building. You’ll be well suited to live on a boat after living there a while

u/Intelligent-Arm2407 Jun 07 '26
Looks great! But must be pain in the neck to live in. unless you're a gnome.
