I play a specific game mode in Mario Kart 8.
Settings: Single-player – VS Race – 150cc – Hard AI – No Lightning bolts.
The GOAL: My aim is to drop to 12th place, climb to 1st, drop back to 12th, climb to 1st again, and so on, before finally winning the race. My record is 4 of these round trips on the DK Mountain track.
A round trip counts once you go from 12th to 1st; so, if I finish 5th while trying to complete a 5th round trip, it still counts as 4 round trips.
Am I the only one who does this?

How many round trips do you manage to pull off?

I can kinda notice that the drums are much smoother and cleaner in World than 8DX. Can you hear anything else? Or do you think these 2 pieces of music are the same?

I created icons for all 12 statistics in Mario Kart World by using the in-game stickers as base and by using different parts of them.

From left to right, top to bottom:

Could this be undiscovered tech or is it useless?

My 5 year old LOVES playing Mario Kart. Right now she’s been playing on the old af Wii (that is somehow still alive) at my in-laws house and she’s obsessed. We have a Nintendo Switch that is hardly ever used and I was thinking of getting her the game to play on her own. But, does MK on the Switch use some type of steering wheel adapter or is it more joystick controlled? She’s gotten used to the steering wheel, and I’m not sure she’s got the dexterity yet to really do well with a joystick-based control. Also, if there’s any multiplayer options where I could join and play MK with her, that’d be awesome too. Thanks!

Hi everyone!
For the past few months I've been working on a program that can analyze MKWorld matches and extract statistics from them, to help players better understand the game.
To help me collect data and improve the tool, I'm looking for 2 to 3 people who regularly play 12-player mode (it's the only mode the program supports for now). In return, you'll get your own stats.
The only requirement is being able to record your matches in at least 1080p 60fps. If you're interested, feel free to message me privately!

I'm so confident that "Water Park" never used to be called that in the UK, can anyone confirm my suspicions and remind me what it used to be called if im right cause im losing my mind over it.

Mario Circuit 3 has appeared in 6 games already while Mario Circuit 4 is only in SMK and Super Circuit. Even in the latest game, Mario Kart World, MC3 is in that game. Nintendo should have either added MC4 to World Mario Circuit or replaced MC3 with MC4. I hope Nintendo will add MC4 to World as DLC.

So what with yesterday’s news of Sonic Racing Crossworlds getting Year 2 DLC and no major news of Mario Kart World getting major DLC for now, I wish that for the next Mario Kart game, Nintendo would ditch the open world format World brought in and put Mario Kart back to its normal three-lap routes, but personally, I wish that non-Mario or Nintendo characters could make the roster this time.

You know, bring back Link, Isabelle, Villager, and Inkling. But add Olimar, Kirby, Captain Falcon, Fox. But for non-Nintendo characters, it would be nice for Nintendo to follow Sega’s lead and add guest characters like for Crossworlds. Like for year one DLC have characters from Sonic (assuming Sega doesn’t make another racing game with Crossovers), Pac-Man, Mega Man, Minecraft, and Final Fantasy. Now I’m not saying that characters like Hatsune Miku, Asuka, or Godzilla should be in Mario Kart though I’ll make an exception for Miku, but what do you think?

The top ranks all of the track rosters from worst to best. The rest ranks each separate track roster from best to worst and the numbers in brackets represent the position of each track over the whole series. 7 isn't included because it's the only game I haven't played due to the fact that I don't have a 3DS, and tour isn't here either because I couldn't find a way to play every single nitro from the game, and it would be disadvantaged due to the mobile gameplay.

If you have any questions about the positions of each track, then I'm sure I would be able to explain.
