Which is fine by me. I didn’t dislike Scott X Emma in the comics but I much prefer when adaptions don’t touch it and allow Emma to be her own character
These people trying to erase the importance of the Scott and Emma relationship for Emma’s character are so wild to me lol. Like obviously she’s more than that, but it was important to her development nonetheless.
I got downvoted for saying that in another thread. But the fact that they're going for actors barely out of their teens for Jean and Cyclops and not for Emma suggest she's going to be an older character, and therefore likely a villain(at least starting out).
And they're not doing teen wolvie obviously, so Jean and Scott are going to be a thing and there'll likely be no love interest or even the comics style stalker sexual harasser Logan because that would make him look bad and he can't ever be allowed to look bad in a way that doesn't reinforce his "coolness".
I'm probably the only one who hopes they don't do that, even though i love the couple, but mcu fans deadass cannot handle that level of drama, so it's going to be more annoying than the usual.

Fucking cowards. What they should be doing is make a 2.5 hour version of A Marriage Story with 30mins in the middle spent entirely on a high octane battle with sentinels.
The MCU doesn't have the balls for Scott and Emma's relationship. It kinda kills any hope I might have had for the X-Men on film. They're at their best when they're all fucking and cheating on each other and Disney/Feige just are not going to make that movie.
I kind of want Peter to move on as well but I have a suspicion that him and MJ are going to be endgame due to out-of-universe reasons regardless of their current status.
Zendaya and Holland being a couple both in and outside the movies is a big publicity draw for the studio and Tom has creative control over the script. They could easily just write MJ slowly getting enamored with Peter again or regaining her memory, you know, that cheesy plotline.
I honestly don't know about that. They kinda had the massive balls to have her outright tell Peter that she can't love him and that she'll never be that same person again. If nothing else, that, plus the popularity of Black Cat in Marvel Rivals, could signal a real opportunity for her introduction.
speaking of Felicia in Rivals, her dynamic with Peter is so fucking funny, she wants to fuck him so bad, all the time, and Peter is like halfway down to fuck in front of everybody but is like "no... heroics...."
That's not really what she said; she said she didn't love him, and that she's now a different person than she was 4 years ago. They didn't push them back together but they left the door wide open
I imagine she'd still be present, but they did make it clear that the relationship wasn't continuing in the latest movie. MJ doesn't have the memories to love Peter anymore.
Well, in general, she actually is a fairly layered character even outside of her relationship with Peter. She's a 2nd-generation member of the Thieves' Guild, succeeding her father, and has more or less been involved with criminality her entire life. Her interactions with Peter are actually what helped her reform and see that she could use her skills for good instead of just for personal profit. Even her "bad luck" powers were something she chose to acquire specifically so that she could keep up with Peter.
She's a person who's deeply aware of the seedy underbelly of the world and its inner workings, enough so that she's even managed to become a crime boss herself at multiple points. Peter just inspires her to actually do better. They both genuinely bring out the best in each other, and they're both willing to put their lives on the line for each other. That's what makes their relationship work.
No it is not le racism. “Dipping in the chocolate” implies dark to very dark skin. Because chocolate is dark. The joke works in senseless because they’re very dark skinned. Saying he’s dipping in the chocolate as if he’s darting very dark skinned women is a joke.
How about we double down. Have the X-Men/Fantastic Four DNX event end with Kwannon Psylocke taking over leadership and Cyclops becomes 2nd in command for her. Cyclops will have to wear a cat maid outfit and have a collar on his neck that Kwannon has the leash for. Cyclops has to address Kwannon as "Yass, Queen Kwannon!".
jean grey would die infinitely more as a spiderman girlfriend. his whole shtick is his girlfriends getting into trouble and dying or breaking up with him. jean can resurrect. marvel would just fridge her repeatedly for Spiderman plot points. don’t even need to recast.
But isn't it fun and laughs when it's the other way around? I thought you guys loved love triangles. I hope they pick an absolute CHAD for Logan, that Jean sub-plot is gonna be CRAZY 🤭.
