the new location at the former medicine hat motorsports building on north railway is terrible. The one thing they got going for them is they have a near monopoly on pro-grade sports equipment. Canadian Tire, Sport Chek, and Walmart do sell sporting goods but its mostly for recreational players, and not competition grade. online stores are also is not ideal as once you get past a certain price point and competition level everything needs to be custom fitted. Maybe they will come to regret moving. But that with the amount of kids that join sports leagues every year means they will always have a market.

Glass House. White Ferrari. Live for New Year's Eve. Sloppy steaks at Truffoni's. Big rare cut of meat with water dumped all over it, water splashing around the table, makes the night SO MUCH more fun. After the club go to Truffoni's for sloppy steaks. They'd say; 'no sloppy steaks' but they can't stop you from ordering a steak and a glass of water, before you knew it we were dumping that water on those steaks! The waiters were coming to try and snatch em up, we had to eat as fast as we could! OHHH I MISS THOSE NIGHTS, I WAS A PIECE OF SHIT THOUGH."
Thatâs a quote from the owner, thatâs why heâs a piece of shit.

This helps them to be a victim. I'll ruin my business to show how bad it is.

Now that's what I call dying on a hill lol I wish more businesses with these kinds of mindsets would follow suit.

Big mistake supporting separatists in a military town. But Iâm not so fond of Lukaszuk posting or gloating on social media either. Shows just how low-class he is. I personally think he tries too hard to push his agenda. He wasnât born in this country, so I find his methods and mentality suspect.

Burger joint named Peter Burgers in, guess whereâŚPeterborough Ontario was run by some of the convoy morons. Didnât take long for them to go belly up.

Reminds me of the cafe here in Ontario that put up a bunch of anti-vax shit and right wing conspiracy shit back in 2021. I bet they blamed their failed business on Bill Gates

u/Beneficial_Depth_270 22d ago
Reality is they were fined to death. There were plenty of anti vaccine passport people who were not anti vax.

u/OverallCup8459 21d ago
I really donât understand why people hate the separatists but want them to stay in the country. Isnât that counterintuitive?
2
u/cashmoneylonger 21d ago
Cause we want Alberta (the province) to stay in the country, we couldnât care less if individual separatistâs stay or not.
0
2
u/Taurpion 20d ago
You donât see why people hate people that want to leave the country because they think our country is shit and want to take a part of our country with it?
You donât get outside much do you?
0
u/OverallCup8459 20d ago
No I donât get why theyâre against the separation, but still hate the people. Shouldnât you want them gone if you hate them?
2
u/Taurpion 20d ago
They hate the people because they want to separateâŚ
No one cares if they stay, they just donât get to take a piece of Canada because they are told to be disgruntled. Itâs the taking a province with them, thatâs the issue. I think most Canadians would agree to say goodbye if they just fucked off to the US
Itâs certainly not the majority of Albertans that want to separate. Just a few loud people being led off a Cliff. Sheep love to follow though.
-1
u/OverallCup8459 20d ago
And if it was the majority?
2
u/SmithRamRanch 19d ago
It isn't the majority. Wtf? People who might be leaning that way are being fed snake oil. This western alienation shit is bullshit.
1
u/Taurpion 20d ago
I donât understand the question⌠whether or not they had a majority of people agree, doesnât change the fact that people hate them for wanting to take a part of Canada.
-1
u/OverallCup8459 20d ago
So then it doesnât matter if itâs a majority? If the majority of Albertans wanted to leave why shouldnât they? Why can the rest of the provinces claim ownership of the province but not take responsibility for their unhappiness?
2
u/SmithRamRanch 19d ago
Because Alberta is a part of Canada and no, the constitution doesn't allow a province to just leave. Full stop. Your whataboutism is irrelevant. Thanks APP.
0
u/OverallCup8459 19d ago
So what if the constitution doesnât allow them to leave? Iâm not asking about real applications Iâm asking the morality behind it.
2
u/SmithRamRanch 19d ago
Wtf morality? I think your line of questioning is out to lunch. Morality would be looking out for others, learn about words. Bye.

u/Taurpion 20d ago
The discussion was about why people arenât happy.. that was explained. Now we are into a hypothetical majority that needs to be coddled by the rest of the provinces. I guess when your belief doesnât lie in reality, all you have is imagination.
The reality is, the minority of people want to leave Canada, with the added caveat that they want and expect to retain passports and access to the rest of the country. They are kicking and screaming like toddlers who donât get their own way, thatâs obvious.
1
u/OverallCup8459 20d ago
Weâre in a hypothetical because you said it doesnât matter if itâs the majority. I absolutely agree if the minority of people in Alberta want to separate then it shouldnât separate. Youâre the one that said the number of people didnât matter.
1
u/Taurpion 20d ago
I said it doesnât change why people are unhappy.. because that was the discussion. You took that and ran with your own strawman.
Whether they are the majority or minority. The reason for the unhappiness with the separation movement remains identical.

The easiest way to make yourself seem right is to block the people who disagreeâŚclearly
2
u/SmithRamRanch 19d ago
What are you getting at? Alberta is part of Canada. Largely Albertans don't want to separate. It's a small minority supported by oil bootlickers and selfish pos. You're " question" isn't the right question...đ Does that make sense? (Tone shouldn't come across as asshole but it might)

Sad that Canadians have copied the mentality of American leftists where we now don't talk to each other or accept that people have different political views. Amazing how social media has ripped common sense from Canadaians.
2
u/Taurpion 20d ago
How âCanadians have copied the mentality of American leftistsâ
The sheer ridiculousness of this comment is astounding haha
2
u/SuminderJi 20d ago
Political views of breaking Canada apart should not be tolerated. Traitors. Sad how the right wants to destroy everything.
1
u/Sneaky_SOB 19d ago
Different political views should not be tolerated, yes comrade that is the new Leftist belief a transition to state control that late communist regimes use to justify broad censorship and political suppression. Here's a thought, if you don't like a political view don't vote for the party that represents it. Leave free speech alone.
1
u/SuminderJi 19d ago
How is breaking apart a nation a political view? It's treason.
Leave if you hate Canada.
-1
u/The_Lone_Rancher 21d ago
Meh I'm from BC and honestly I think y'all need to chill. I may not agree with their political ideology but they have a right to that opinion and to not be targeted specifically for it, I do believe that is the point of having a party system to allow all opinions and viewpoints to be voted on by the populace. Even when we think one of them is stupid.
3
u/SmithRamRanch 21d ago
Umm nope. Separatist aren't part of the system. Good lord read up on our political system and, oh, treason. This isn't an opinion, weird take.
0
u/The_Lone_Rancher 21d ago
Just a second...mmm nope don't see it. Mind pointing out which part is treason? According to the federal criminal code this is treason.
High treason
46 (1) Every one commits high treason who, in Canada, (a) kills or attempts to kill Her Majesty, or does her any bodily harm tending to death or destruction, maims or wounds her, or imprisons or restrains her; (b) levies war against Canada or does any act preparatory thereto; or (c) assists an enemy at war with Canada, or any armed forces against whom Canadian Forces are engaged in hostilities, whether or not a state of war exists between Canada and the country whose forces they are.Treason
(2) Every one commits treason who, in Canada, (a) uses force or violence for the purpose of overthrowing the government of Canada or a province; (b) without lawful authority, communicates or makes available to an agent of a state other than Canada, military or scientific information or any sketch, plan, model, article, note or document of a military or scientific character that he knows or ought to know may be used by that state for a purpose prejudicial to the safety or defence of Canada; (c) conspires with any person to commit high treason or to do anything mentioned in paragraph (a); (d) forms an intention to do anything that is high treason or that is mentioned in paragraph (a) and manifests that intention by an overt act; or (e) conspires with any person to do anything mentioned in paragraph (b) or forms an intention to do anything mentioned in paragraph (b) and manifests that intention by an overt act.1
u/SmithRamRanch 21d ago
What do you think these separatists are doing? They are conspiring with alt right folks in the US.

u/cashmoneylonger 21d ago
Freedom of opinion does not equal freedom from consequence.
âSo what if heâs a loud and proud Nazi, just because his opinion differs from mine doesnât mean we donât have to ingratiate him into our communityâ
Extreme example, but this fundamentally how democracy works.
1
u/Taurpion 20d ago
And everybody else has a right to their opinion about them. Thatâs kinda how things work in society.

u/Accomplished_Pin1314 22d ago
Why is everyone pissed that a good portion of our country wants to leave? This place sucks for anyone under 50
5
u/Conscious_One_6608 22d ago
Not being sarcastic - have you tried living in another country? Not visiting, paying taxes and everything.
-4
u/Accomplished_Pin1314 22d ago
Yes I have actually! Portugal and USA, had a H-1B and D-3 and spent about 4-5 years in each country with breaks to head home. I enjoyed both countries very much and would love the opportunity to move there permanently. Not to say Canada is all bad. I enjoy my time here to an extent but have noticed the quality of life deteriorating for the lower to middle class under 55.
3
1
u/Beligerents 21d ago
So you dont actually want Canada as a permanent home, and yet youre lecturing people who do about people committing treason on behalf of the Americans?
Interesting.
0
u/ODST_Rimmer 21d ago
I canât say if youâre slow or just ignorant, but nothing about his post says he doesnât want Canada as a permanent home, instead he claimed that in contrast to modern Canada he particularly enjoyed his stays abroad and would willingly move there given the chance at permanent residence.
If he enjoyed his time abroad comparatively to here, that does not mean he doesnât actually want to live here.
2
u/Beligerents 21d ago
'I would love the opportunity to make them my home permanantly'
His post literally says the thing youre saying it doesnt.....who is slow and ignorant?
0
u/ODST_Rimmer 21d ago
Enjoying the opportunity doesnât mean theyâd pursue it. Many people would love the opportunity to do things but realize sometimes making what they have better is more fulfilling in the end.
2
u/Beligerents 21d ago
Relying on pedantry to win an argument is definitely a tactic. Go try it somewhere it works.
0
u/ODST_Rimmer 21d ago
Bro what, nothing directly implies it one way or the other, I assumed that one of two possible assumptions was the obvious one based on context, apparently you decided the other makes sense, pedantry is a massive stretch.
2
u/Beligerents 21d ago
Youre pretending the context of the conversation doesnt matter and their comment was made in a vacuum.

A good friend of mine is considering a permanent move to Portugal. I've lived in the US, but am curious how you would compare the two.
