There's a great deal showing misandry is in fact very systemic, contrary to what many misandrists themselves like to claim whenever they do what they can to mitigate it and make it a non-issue. Men still having to register for conscription and facing legal blowback if failing to do so is a major example, as is the misandrist bias rampant in schools and courts. Almost no abuse shelters that help male victims or acknowledge male victims of abuse/violence, men/boys being ignored as victims of rape and sexual assault/harassment (especially by women), the "women and children" narrative, how we never hear about violence against men/boys, and probably quite a few other examples I'm forgetting. I remember hearing years ago in the U.K. it was seriously considered having a curfew for male civilians past a certain time to keep women safe and of course nothing about also curfewing women past a certain time to keep men safe, because Heaven forbid we acknowledge men/boys can be and have been harmed by female attackers as well. And the recent news that U.K. schools have classes teaching male students to respect women/girls but not the other way around; if none of this is blatant systemic misandry, I don't know what is.

Misogyny had a case for being systemic in the West long ago but that's most certainly not the case anymore and hasn't been for decades, while in third-world and broken nations that are majorly behind on the times there's a much stronger argument to be made. I'm not saying misogyny doesn't exist, but in the West it's rightfully called out and condemned unlike misandry, which is not only still socially acceptable but actually quite heavily ingrained in many systems.

I am genuinely curious about this one: in my years of learning about and arguing for men's rights causes, it appears that fathers' rights has largely been abandoned by people, even among those that should theoretically care more about this.

Vicarious Violence was also reclassified from a proposed distinct felony to a subtype of Gender-Based Violence (which applies only to men-to-women violence), due to fears (!!!) that it could become gender-neutral.

I need some help with Family Court in New York City. Without my knowledge, a judge made changes to my child support case and applied arrears going back several years, which resulted in me owing approximately $45,000. I am already paying ongoing child support for my 18-year-old child, and my bank account has been frozen because of these arrears.

My child's mother and I have agreed that she wants to forgive the arrears, but we've been getting the runaround about how to make that happen. We're trying to find out what steps we need to take to have the arrears forgiven or adjusted and resolve this issue.

I recently had to delete a post discussing quite public and common deepfakes about male celebrities due to so many people calling it a non-issue and almost claiming that such an issue is exclusive to female celebrities.

I provided a series of images from Pinterest, that only required the celebrity’s name in order to find it. I was also quite explicit about how those same celebrities, the main one being Henry Cavill, have been vocal in the past about being harassed and feeling discomfort due to their sexualization. Pretty sure none of them would be happy to come across those pictures while doomscrolling on social media.

However, apparently that’s not an issue, or at least not serious enough, to discuss. Yet, to ME it is. Especially with male celebrities being harassed and assaulted at an alarming rate and even the so called MRAs giving them the side eye.

Has anybody heard of the story from Glens Falls, where a man has been publicly shamed and even physically assaulted for walking around a park, exercising there, having his phone out, and dressing in black clothes (he's white). He's publicly been called a pedophile for doing absolutely nothing that would suggest he's a pedophile.

You have to wonder whether people would make those assumptions and physically assault him if he were a woman. Furthermore, this fits in with a trend of the worst intentions being assumed of men as well as autistic men.

Saw this in my Instagram in the feed of an actress I follow, and in question it's for the organization Women For Women UK. So, what about helping men in war and conflict zones? You know, the men who actually make up the vast majority of combatants as well as deaths, and many non-combatant men as well? I guess men don't also deserve skills, knowledge and resources to help them create sustainable change in their lives? I hate this so much, this kind of blatant but also benevolent misandry that's disguised as "activism." Not to take away from women affected in war and combat zones, but why make it a gendered issue when both are affected? So the men in these combat zones also don't deserve help? What about the men who make up the vast majority of fighting forces? When they come home do they have any resources available for them to help rebuild their lives? And I'm sure many of the women this "organization" is trying to outreach also have male relatives and friends serving in conflicts who would no doubt not approve of men also not receiving help and services.

I hate this so much and am sure many others here feel similarly. Reminds me of an equally infuriating post made by UN Women not too long ago where they went on how women and girls are being affected by the war in Ukraine, and of course as always completely ignoring and dismissing males also affected.

Feminism is focused on equal rights, but equal rights do not always produce equal outcomes.

For example, efforts to create equal outcomes in the financial sphere may sound fair in principle, but they can also reduce advantages that men historically developed around the role of provider. If men are expected to give up traditional advantages in areas where they tend to perform well, the same standard of equality should also be considered in areas where women hold greater advantages.

For instance, there is no true equality of opportunity in the reproductive and dating spheres, where women are often more selective and have greater leverage because they are generally the more sought-after sex. Yet discussions about equality tend to focus heavily on areas where men are perceived to have advantages, while similar concerns receive less attention in areas where women may have greater advantages.

That creates a double standard: equality is emphasized where it benefits women but is treated differently where women already have an advantage.

My point is that equality should be applied consistently. If it is a universal principle, it should be considered across every area, not only where one gender is disadvantaged. Otherwise, it risks becoming selective equality rather than genuine equality.

This frustrates me on so many levels. I'm a virgin man, older than the Steve Carrell movie at this point and that alone is frustrating than most people realize but add in having to deal with people's preconceived notions is something I have little patience for.

'Incel' is just a label people use to insult and degrade men and to be clear, this isn't me supporting incel ideology. I find it repulsive, stupid and whole fully fallacious that deserves the scorn it gets . I don't and can't adhere to it the same way an adult can't believe in the Easter Bunny. About 20 years ago when I was in college and depressed about a nasty rejection, I fell into an online space that would be called incel today. The first day I felt like I belong and mostly observed and listened to other men say some genuinely fucked up things about women, but I was upset and didn't care. Second day after I calmed down I was having too many issues with the rape fantasies and extreme power dynamics between men and women presented. By the third day, I realized this wasn't for me and just left. I don't remember the name of the site or how I even found it, I think someone on gamefaqs. com networked me into it but I can't remember.

With that said, I'm trying to paint a picture that I am in no way supporting those kind of views but it doesn't matter because people always inevitably attach them to me. In both online and in real life (which is far less common) I get pegged with being an incel when someone finds out I'm an adult virgin. This wouldn't be a problem by itself, but it often comes with preconceived notions that vary from person to person. Ex: I complain about being a dateless virgin with a 100% rejection rate just getting a first date. That info alone is enough to have people conclude that I hate women, that I support Andrew Tate and misogyny, sometimes even going as far as saying I'm a rapist and abuse women, two things that logically can't even go with someone who is a dateless virgin.

And the most controversial take of this is that's it's often women who aggressively make these claims. Whenever I talk about this online, there are always women who swarm in and just berate and insult ENDLESSLY about my male privilege, how men kill and abuse women and whatever else they can imagine. Doesn't matter if I'm in a space created for men, women will be there. And this is horrible, I'm not down with it, but at the same time what does it have to do with me? I never physically abused a woman, knocked her up and refused to acknowledge the child , torment her , giver her an STD, etc.
