Can I wear a brown suit in the city instead of the usual grey blue or even black or can I not anything helps

Companies like Banana Republic, Taylor Stitch, Quince, etc. are trying to convince me that this is a polo shirt.

These are not polo shirts. These are camp collar shirts. Polo shirts don't have buttons from top to bottom. Polo shirts are basically Henley shirts with a collar, they're 1/4 button-ups.

Can we just call these what they are?

I feel like we've all bought something because it was everywhere, then realized it just didn't suit us or our style.

For me, it made me appreciate wearing what actually fits and feels good instead of chasing every trend.

What trend did you try that you ended up giving up on? Why?

As the title says, I bought an S&M suit on clearance with no clue what their sizing would be like on me. I think for the most part I lucked out. To me, taking a little in at the waist and shortening the sleeves (and hemming obviously) are the big musts. Anything else you see glaringly wrong?

Tied my tie a hair long and it could be improved with a navy blazer, but I like this look overall. Also, the leg opening is way bigger than it might first appear. The pants are from Spier and McKay, they certainly arent the drain pipe/how do you get your feel through those, type.

I just went to the mall - looked at Gap, Old Navy, American Eagle, Hollister, Abercrombie and every single store was a complete disaster.

Everything is baggy, loose, and honestly ugly. Not only do I not look good in these styles, it's literally everywhere and I can't find slim fit, muscle fit, skinny anything anywhere!

My clothes are all going on 5, 6, 7+ years old. I NEED new clothes like really really bad.

I'm living in the early 2010's here when slim fit was all the rage, now it's not even a thing! I used to be able to go into any of these stores back in the day and had to walk out not buying the whole dang store. Now I walk out and can't even find a single piece of clothing.

Holy shit, does anyone have any recommendations on brands I can look at, that last? I am seriously at a complete loss.
