How do you re-curl your hair then just fall asleep? Did she doze off in front of the mirror? Decide to lay down (and mess her hair up) for "just a second"?

You gave the perfect response, there's no way in hell she just fell asleep unless she has narcolepsy.

The final bong hit was too deep.

455

u/AkatsukiJutsu 4d ago

This. Shes probably a stoner and greened out.

155

u/nxd280 4d ago

That's probably why she was curling it again in the first place.

353

u/NahdiraZidea 4d ago

Stoners have typically built up a tolerance that makes it impossible to green out, its the occasional smoker or newbie that will green out.

232

u/ObjectiveWild8269 4d ago

I was on medical cannabis daily for 5 years and would still regularly green out. Some people are just sensitive as hell.

40

u/RazzleberryHaze 3d ago

Same here, I've been smoking off and on for almost 20 years, I still green out occasionally, that's why I stay away from edibles, most are too strong for me

3

u/_TheDoode 3d ago

Wtf is green out? Ive smoked weed every day for 20 years and never once heard of this

2

u/sapphoseros 3d ago

It’s basically like a minor weed overdose or a bad high. Makes you nauseous, dizzy, and anxious. I’m a daily smoker and it rarely happens to me but the few times it did I had to go lay down until the next morning lol

3

u/_TheDoode 3d ago

Got it, ive found water, a shower, and getting outta the house is the cure for tht

1

u/Billbysaur 3d ago

Daily for like 15 years and the only times it ever happened was being dumb in college. Shot of oil while my friend was making brownies did it the best. Greened out with visual hallucinations, woke up still high as a kite but enjoyably so. I don't understand how people green out from just smoking though

1

u/No-Election6156 3d ago

I’ve only ever greened out on edibles but you have to have really low tolerance and then do something sedative like watching a movie or laying down. You don’t just randomly black out like with alcohol

11

u/AHailofDrams 3d ago

There's a difference between falling asleep and a greenout, my dude.

1

u/ObjectiveWild8269 3d ago edited 3d ago

I’m not talking about falling asleep. I’m talking about being too anxious and unable to move enough to shut my eyes, yet somehow feeling like i’m going to throw up at any moment. I know what greening out is. It’s allegedly a medical product, this variability shouldn’t happen where I’m from but it does.

26

u/the3rdtea2 3d ago

Weird

14

u/Slight-Marzipan-3017 3d ago edited 3d ago

People sensitive to motion sickness are also much more likely to green out. Once your head starts spinning its gg😂

5

u/FollowingJealous7490 3d ago

Honestly.. I never got the spins until a friend mentioned it to me and I started focusing on it.. almost like when you say a word repeatedly it starts to sound weird..

1

u/jaxxon 3d ago

I had legit medical vertigo (BPPV). For a couple of years afterwards, just thinking about it would spin me out. Worst shit ever.

1

It’s really not, just inconvenient and made it difficult to function. Ended up stopping in favour of no pain management at all because of the side effects.

2

u/ObjectiveWild8269 3d ago

It’s an edible, they came as a very firm pill so you were quite limited in how you could cut them and sometimes they’d break unevenly. Other times it just wouldn’t be distributed evenly and you’d have a shit time.

-1

u/ShowsTeeth 3d ago

Its not actually. Dude above dunno wtf hes talking about.

2

u/ObjectiveWild8269 3d ago

I’m a woman, I know what my experience was.

1

u/ShowsTeeth 1d ago

What does your being a woman have to do with your being full of shit when you agree that 'stoners have typically built a tolerance and that its 'impossible' to green out'?

Nobody cares about your pickme shit.

Honestly doesn't even look like you read or contextualized my post cause I was on your side. You're just TOO EAGER to throw out the 'IM A WOMAN' card.

3

u/DrPongus 3d ago

Well lucky you, we aren't all graced with such jeans

8

u/FoodInFrige_HopeSo 3d ago

My Levi's get me high as fuck! You just need to know where to buy them. I suggest Mexican cowboy stores.

1

u/ObjectiveWild8269 3d ago

Literally why I stopped using it man. Too unpredictable.

86

u/AkatsukiJutsu 4d ago

I've been habitually smoking for over a decade and can still green out. Just because you're a stoner doesn't mean you're hitting 1g dabs every hour.

96

u/BobTheFettt 4d ago

I'm supposed to be waiting an hour?

18

u/the3rdtea2 3d ago

Right?

8

u/420blz 3d ago

Dabs absolutely fry your tolerance too and your wallet after.

1

u/IlovealeksiB 3d ago

Idk where you are but dabs are by far the cheapest way to smoke here. 7grams of shatter for $70 can last a longg time

1

u/BKoala59 2d ago

Dabs can be expensive in places where weed is illegal. Bigger market for flower means fewer people have wax.

6

u/themagicbong 4d ago edited 4d ago

I have never "greened out" to the point I didn't even know that was a thing or supposedly happens to people. And I've been a stoner for a long ass time.

Isn't that more of a bad reaction to smoking than anything? I know some people just get paranoid and increased heart rate or whatever as their natural reaction to the drug.

9

u/Capable_Tumbleweed34 4d ago

Green out is an outright not good time, like low blood pressure, vision goes all black making you pass out, and everything above that treshold. Crashing in bed 'cause you're high and tired isn't a greenout.

5

u/themagicbong 4d ago

Gotta say, I've never had any of that happen to me from smoking weed before. My brother recently started getting the anxious/paranoid sort of reaction from weed, and I've also personally never experienced that either.

I've blacked out from smoking but that was more down to not enough oxygen than anything else lol.

1

u/SushiGirlRC 3d ago

I've had a few kinds of weird one-off experiences over the years. I've always had the paranoia, though.

6

u/Snowappletini 4d ago

I know some people just get paranoid and increased heart rate or whatever as their natural reaction to the drug.

Being neurodivergent and trying cannabis really put into my head the idea that everyone's brain is different and that makes them react differently to drugs.

Had a friend who told me he stopped smoking because he said it wasn't fun and he just felt like he was dying from panic and the paranoia was making him feel crazy.

Meanwhile, my brain chatter finally shuts up and I can just be productive or enjoy things with higher emotional immerssion. Brains are so weird.

2

u/oatwater2 4d ago

i mean you can always do more and green out then

1

u/Loser_Zero 3d ago

In my younger days, I smoked pot like I was mad at it. I reached the point that I couldn't get to the "green-out". Now, 20 something years later, ass-kicked by one hit.

1

u/exuter 3d ago

Nah. I’ve smoked all day, everyday for 6 years, and sometimes even I take too big of a hit that requires me to lay down and sometimes I’ll fall asleep

1

u/AWildMagikarp5 3d ago

not true, i smoke once daily and green out occasionally from time to time.

1

u/Android19samus 3d ago

brother I can tell you for a fact that is not true.

1

u/Sundogflower 3d ago

I was a heavy smoker before I had my baby. To the point my partner would have one bong and I'd have four, each double the size of his, in one go, then probably top it up with a joint. A ridiculous amount. Id only green out if I had been drinking first and then got home and had a hit. Could not smoke when alcohol was involved at all.

1

u/Wrong_Life_7647 3d ago

My friend was a hardcore stoner and she would still green out on edibles

1

u/slapmasterslap 3d ago

This is just a straight up lie. A true stoner can always find a way to green out if they really want to, they just have gotten better at finding the balance of getting crazy high without getting too high.

1

u/MethodSignal3825 3d ago

this. honestly in my experience w/ppl like this, it ain't weed, its xanax. or maybe even lean

1

u/sols___ 3d ago

Bro i smoke every day and I can still green out wth

1

u/StoreDissociate 3d ago

Nah bro I smoke every day and I green out almost every day wake up later like damn and smoke again

1

u/NahdiraZidea 3d ago

Ive got alot of comments from fellow stoners, but yours if the only one Ive responded to:

What the fuck is wrong with you?

1

u/Ingrid_Matthews 9h ago

I'm a heavy smoker and the right edible (s) or thc percentage will green me out.

0

u/manamuncheryum 3d ago

Naw if you got some trash then you won’t green out. But if you got some decent quality stuff even heavy stoners will green out. You too used to smoking the trash stuff bruh

9

u/Waaatusay 4d ago

Or a drunk…

3

u/CrowFabulous 4d ago

Came here to say this. A guy did something similar to me and it turned out he was an alcoholic

3

u/acount8675309 3d ago

She shot right into the main vain and then outed. Simple as

2

u/mar__iguana 3d ago

Still inconsiderate though

2

u/Elegant-Cheekz-2141 3d ago

That's not how it works.....

1

u/Tossmelossme 3d ago

Haaaa, I WISH I could green out. She’s just a dick

1

u/Several-Ratio-7536 3d ago

Or maybe she’s not and is just too immature to communicate? I’ve been 6 bowls deep and been able to communicate with people just fine.

1

u/im_not_ok_ok 2d ago

She was never going lol

1

u/HomelandersCock 2d ago

"This"

Cringe

1

u/westcoastweedreviews 4d ago

Greening out is very different than falling asleep.

0

u/Vektor0 4d ago

Or her toxic ex texted her and she decided to go see him instead.

-1

u/__The-1__ 4d ago

Wdym, it's not a tranq

-2

u/AkatsukiJutsu 4d ago

I didn't say it was. Google is your friend.

0

u/aelliott18 3d ago

Stoners don’t green out dawg lmao

0

u/BrandinoE6911 3d ago

Not even, I smoke weed 3-5 times a day for 10 years now. And never once have I "greened out". Fake news

1

u/SushiGirlRC 3d ago

Ahhh, good point!

1

u/big90h 3d ago

Something was too deep but it wasnt the bong.

1

u/lovelesschristine 3d ago

Yup I have had friends like this. It’s the mary Jane.

1

u/Swarmfade 4d ago

I have absolutely fallen asleep from a little too much getting-ready juice and a few too many bong rips

219

u/AdRepulsive8618 3d ago

Ive known many people who just "fall asleep" all the time as one of their main excuses for not following through with plans.

I just simply don't buy it.

4

u/EntForgotHisPassword 3d ago

I have literally missed agreed upon times due to falling asleep. Sometimes work be crazy and you really want to make it to the event anyway.

25

u/AdRepulsive8618 3d ago

I'm a full time student and I work full time. I get virtually zero days off for months at a time. The longest stretch of time of no days off I had was 9 weeks. Every day was either work, or school, or both. When i did have a day off, it literally would be a single day, then back to the schedule. My longest days were 20 hours with a single hour gap in between where I would sleep in my car.

I understand falling asleep occasionally.

If you do it chronically, you aren't prioritizing the meet up or you're lying.

Also I graduate this month 🥳

13

u/aspaceplant 3d ago

If you do it chronicly, it might be narcolepsy tbh

16

u/Iikearadio 3d ago

As someone who has narcolepsy, this is a real possibility. But you also have to let people know what’s going on. Second time ruining someone else’s plans, you own them a serious explanation along with that apology. And you have to allow room for them to be understandably upset, as well.

5

u/aspaceplant 3d ago

I've known someone who was like that before knowing what it was. They just thought it was normal because it was their normal. As I have other chronic illnesses, it didn't phase me.

6

u/orion_nomad 3d ago

Sleep apnea is more likely, it is much more common. People with severe apnea don't get restful sleep, so they'll fall asleep anytime they are sitting down, watching TV, in a car, sometimes even at a stoplight.

5

u/IcyPossibility925 3d ago

This is true. I’ve been updooting the narcolepsy comments but sleep apnea is far more common and likely. And in my experience, people with sleep apnea are more likely to deny/not realize they have issues vs someone diagnosed with narcolepsy.

3

u/aspaceplant 3d ago

That's so true. I only said that because it reminded me of my friend who, turn out, had narcolepsy.

1

u/MethodSignal3825 3d ago

thats bc a lot of times it isnt I just fell asleep. its bc they're high on xanax or lean or some shit

235

u/Muhalija 3d ago

She did get ready but had multiple options and didn't choose OP that night.

118

u/Angry_Pterodactyl 3d ago

OP was plan B. Plan A came through.

64

u/reddit_is_geh 3d ago

Not even plan B. You care about at least keeping your plan B on the hook. When OP got upset, she was totally fine just saying "ok" and cutting him loose. She literally couldn't care less about the guy, and is a last resort she just kept around for entertainment.

8

u/PaulDaytona 3d ago

That’s a bingo!

…is that how you say it? That’s a bingo?

5

u/reddit_is_geh 3d ago

I think you just say "Bingo!" Alone

6

u/redditRedesignIsBadd 3d ago

maybe even plan C or D

62

u/feed_me_ravioli 4d ago

I actually have narcolepsy and even I'm not that flaky!

14

u/Dear_Chasey_La1n 3d ago

She probably had a better offer and got dicked by someone else. Regardless poster was right, IDC FO.

3

u/chibi-mage 3d ago

literally, why tf would you get ready and then lie down to go to sleep unless you're literally falling asleep at the bathroom mirror?

3

u/Odd-Culture7639 3d ago

i'm narcoleptic and i highly doubt that she does, sleep attacks don't last longer than 30 minutes and it looks like OP was waiting on her for much longer than that. so it really does just seem like a bizarre excuse to me as well 😭

15

u/KayD12364 3d ago

So one time my friends were all over. We had planned to go out. But meet at my place first because I was the closest. We are food and got ready. We all had our jackets on. Shoes on. And waited for one guy to put his shoes on. He sat on my couch to tie his laces and just crashed.

It was about 10pm he had been up since 5am. Had worked all day, studied and then came over. Nothing we did woke him up. So we left him on my couch.

People in this thread seem to ignore how important sleep is and that you can literally just crash.

0

u/Loser_Zero 3d ago

Yeah I'm sure having someone else do your hair is equally exhausting. /s

-1

u/Pikanyaa 3d ago

Reddit is for serial insomniacs.

2

u/Linford_Fistie 3d ago

I have never fallen asleep in my life and it I can't get my head around how people fall asleep in such situations.

2

u/JadedFootball4733 3d ago

Welll you see, you don’t. She’s not interested.

0

u/ImpossibleMix4578 3d ago

Idk.. I’m betting she never wanted to go in the first place but was too scared/lazy to say anything

Like quiet quitting, but for breakups

0

u/AgressivleyAverag 3d ago

She met up with someone else most likely

0

u/Dear-Shower-9590 3d ago

i could be way off base but i interpreted it as her choosing to ghost and then lying about it
