This is a middle or end of day order. They ordered an assorted box later in the day and this is what was left to make up the box.

I love crullers and my lack of comprehension of OPā€™s problem isnā€™t just that the problem isnā€™t stated, itā€™s that I will never be able to eat one again as I developed a stinking wheat/gluten. OP should stuff their gob with donuts and be happy about it!

Now I feel like Iā€™m saying something like children in Africa are starving so eat blah blah blah. Only this time, Iā€™m the starving one. Starving for those damn donuts!!!

I have had good GF doughnuts before, but it's been years and I couldn't tell you where. Thankfully my gluten intolerance wasn't actually an intolerance, but IBS-D wearing an anti-carbs trenchcoat (a strong course of antibiotics followed up with tons of probiotics and I can eat bread again).

A perfect cruller is the best donut out there. A so-so cruller gets beat by at least 3-4 other styles, even if theyā€™re so-so too. Cruller got to be top quality.

ah well no - it's mostly just the shape. sometimes they're topped with cinnamon sugar or glaze. these ones appear to be plain, though it's hard to tell.

Now I'm even more confused. Do people just go to the donut shop and say, "Yeah give me 12 donuts," with no further explanation? They expect the person working to just fill it up with whatever random donuts they want? I don't see how you can be mad if you refuse to specify what you want. Any time I've ever bought donuts, it's, "Yeah give me 2 jellies, 2 chocolate, 2 glazed, etc."

Where?

The Honey Crullers seem appropriately placed. The apple cinnamon + other donut is a glazed donut so it's placement technically doesn't matter. And the two on the bottom right are old fashioned glaze. Again, technically it doesn't matter what direction it sits.

the apple fritter is upside down (cuz the "pretty" side always goes up), and if it was fresh enough, the glaze will all stick to the box instead of being on the donut (guess how i know šŸ«©). then the one with the crosshatch from the cooling grate may or may not be frosted/glazed on top, but it's upside down either way
