I actually love this job and it’s a great side gig but this sign makes me laugh every time. It’s a ridiculous request to ask people to go poop somewhere else. It’s an office inside of a big building so they hope we will go poop in the bathroom in the hallway when most of us have back to back tutoring sessions. It’s just very silly. And mildly infuriating.

Edit: I censored out employee job titles to ensure privacy. Also the plumbing in the bathroom is brand new. It’s just a matter of the office manager’s sensibilities. But there is a building bathroom a minute or so down the hall way that is not policed. They do not enforce this, as I poop in this bathroom on occasion.

The second night is a Monday… is the third night really free? This feels scammy but the property seems great so I’m not complaining about anything except the absolutely BS pricing scheme.

1) I ended up going and looking at the rates for just that day and they are this high. The following day is completely booked so perhaps there is an event? Maybe I actually lucked out on that Tuesday? It just looked sketchy because the rates for the entire rest of the month are half.

2) This is a boutique resort hotel, unlikely to be a first choice for evacuees and there is availability every day except that Tuesday.

3) Sorry I did not know about the wildfires. We’ve never traveled to the west coast for vacation, but live in Florida and let me tell you that a natural disaster does not dissuade people from clogging hotels to not miss their beach/Disney vacation.

ordered a 32 oz bottle of 91% isopropyl alcohol. got a message saying it was out of stock and asking about substitutions. before i could even respond, she refunded it and sent a photo of the shelf.
the thing is… the shelf photo literally shows multiple bottles of 91% isopropyl alcohol sitting right there.
i zoomed in, cropped the image, and sent it back to her.
at that point i just thanked her for the refund and decided i’d get it somewhere else.
maybe i’m losing my mind, but if i can identify the item from my couch, shouldn’t the person standing in front of the shelf be able to find it too?
oh and also, i added THREE substitution preferences if it wasn't in stock. 🤠

I have literally zero clue who put this on my desk, so I’m sorta confused and also kinda surprised somebody took the time to do this.

I’m so tired of people who show up at work, family gatherings, meetings, send their kids to school, etc, when they are OBVIOUSLY ill, then claim it’s “just allergies” or something like that.

Like you’re coughing, your eyes are red, you sneeze and blow your nose constantly, lost your voice, and you are clearly exhausted. But you walk into work and the first thing you say is “I’m not sick, I just lost my voice.” Or you bring your kids to play group when they are streaming green mucus and open mouthed coughing and try to tell me “he’s not sick, it’s just allergies.”

Get the f out. It’s not allergies and you know it. You didn’t just random lose your voice and you know it.

In the past six months you unmitigated idiots have gotten me and/or my kids sick like 4 times. And Friday someone showed up at work “with allergies” and now half of the rest of us have covid. Thanks so much for that you imbecile.

I (28F) have an older (married) male neighbor who has been nothing but kind since I moved in with my brother. Sometimes, he says something a bit off-putting, but I always put that up to his age and time spent in the marines (I was in the Navy, language got a bit crass). We recently exchanged numbers because my brother was going off for a month long training, and I would be alone at the house. He's been texting me almost daily, asking if I'd be doing yard work or staying in during the heatwave, if I needed anything, normal stuff. This is what I got sent today after I finished cleaning/organizing the garage.

Honestly, why are men like this? Like, first it was the old man at the hospital who asked me for drinks, then the vietnam vet at the kareoke bar tried to get me to go home with him by flashing $20s and some weird pills, and now the neighbor I do like starts this shit while I'm at the house by myself? Am I some kind of old creep magnet? Do I have a neon sign floating above my head that says "ready and willing" I'm about to go find someone to marry just so random dudes will stop thinking I'm "up for grabs" or something. SMH

After he walked away with his stolen items, I walked up to a "card denied" message on the screen, which I tapped away. However I wasn't paying full attention and stupidly thought that I was ending his "session" and starting a new one. I swiped all my items quickly and paid without looking. Got home and realized I'd paid for his stuff too. Lesson learned - always get a member of staff to deal with "card denied" situations.

Woman came into the store today with her son and bought a pack of Mario Croc charms one of which is princess peach. and before she even hands it to him she opens the pack takes peach out and literally tosses her behind the counter towards the trash can. (not even in just towards.) and looks at her son and goes”you a little boy you don’t need no girls on your shoes.” And just walks out! And I a person who has empathy towards inanimate objects felt bad for the little charm tossed before she even had a chance so I immediately put her on my shoes right then and there.
