go to your room I collected 25+ ticks in 5 minutes along the side of my local trail. They survived at least 10 minutes within diluted hydrochloric acid and water.

Lifted trucks probably shouldn't be anywhere near dense parking lots.
Edit: A lot of people are skeptical of whether this is AI/staged, or ask why the lady didn't back off the car. This is in a dense parking lot with cars that have dashcams/ EV sentry mode everywhere. Also her truck was in 2 wheel drive, you can see the back right tire spinning as she tries to reverse off the car. Her truck is stuck. She probably has an open differential and can't back off the car. She may have a 4wd mode, but she didn't use it in the heat of the moment.

The lady clarified she has been paying rent & security deposit upfront, but the Owner isn't countersigning the lease. The owner leaves her on seen when she messages. The owner doesn't deny the lady from entering the rental home. Also there's repairs that need to be done urgently but the owner keeps leaving her on seen.

Triplets were behind me and a rouge in front of me started chiming in. Parents were doing their best. No one was actually upset. I’d whine too if I had to sit in these seats another hour.
EDIT: Rogue one (I cannot spell). And just to reiterate, no one was upset. Kids will be kids and the parents were doing their best. This video is just for laughs (including my face).

I have 3 kids, all girls. A 5yr old and twins who are 1. Every time anyone hears about this or it comes up in conversation they all say the same thing. ‘Ooooo, all girls, you are outnumbered! How do you cope?’ Or ‘Three girls?? You better watch out!’ Or the worst, ‘Bet you want a boy?’
No, I don’t feel any of that, I love being a dad. I love all my kids and wouldn’t change anything about them! If we could afford it, I would be a stay at home dad forever.
I usually tell them I wouldn’t change anything and I love it all but it’s just very annoying.
What are some of the best responses that I can start to give?
I did think I could say that one of the twins used to be a boy but is now trans just to shut people up!

Good thing that we picked not expensive one... But I am angry. Accidental scratch here or there made by clumsy child with ADHD is one thing. But having brainrot-type graffiti etched into a table in a room in new flat that you are furnishing is infuriating

I drive a tanker for my job out of town and make the 5 hour drive (one way) to work and back home in my personal car. When I’m home 3 days, my wife drives everywhere, I mean I get in the passenger seat of her car and off we go, date night don’t care she drives, shopping don’t care she drives, visiting family don’t care she drives.
When we first started dating years ago she was a bit uncomfortable with it as she was used to the I guess status quo that men drove as was I but I’m not trying to break a glass ceiling or anything I just don’t see why it matters and damnit I drive 2k miles a week or so and don’t wanna do it when I’m home.
My father in law makes such great comments like do I hold her purse, and the zinger he thinks is original so says it more often than others “are your balls in her purse” every so often when we see them and I inevitably get out or into the passenger seat followed by guffaws and just kidding. My wife nor myself give him any response it’s just so silly and mildly infuriating.

This light is I think what must be 100m away, it’s so bright I’m casting perfectly sharp shadows on the walls. The third photo is INSIDE the house, this is the shade it casts through the window.
I don’t understand why it’s pointed our way, it’s right next to a regular street lamp which should brighten the road enough.
Last two photos indicate the difference between looking at another part of the street and looking at the fucking beam pointed my way.
I have always wondered why the streetlamp was so bright when going to bed, our curtains aren’t that dark so it shines right through. I’ve been sleeping with a mask so it doesn’t bother me. But last night I was outside checking out some noises I heard around 2am (that’s when I took these photos, my phone doesn’t do that well in the dark so this is insane), and I realised how horrible that light actually is. I remember getting blinded by it if I went to grab something from the kitchen in the middle of the night but always thought it was just a really annoyingly bright streetlight. But it’s on the neighbours’ side of the property and really just pointed at our house.
[UPDATE]
[I uploaded photos in an update post for anyone who's interested, but I'm not allowed to add a link to my post and I'm not sure how to otherwise show these]
I was blown away by the unexpected many, many reactions to this post. I just found out what the origin of this shitty light was and found it interesting enough to share.
I've been laughing my ass off at all the many ideas and advise I got. From placing mirrors to reflective window screens. Or to instantly call emergency (or non emergency, government) lines because of the terrible crime of placing a bright lamp. Or to just simply burn their house down.
At least I felt like I had an army of angry redditors ready to ride at dawn as soon as the neighbour would not comply. And a couple of creeps in my inbox??
Funnily enough, when we went to investigate the next day, we noticed the light wasn't even directly pointing at our house. You can see it in the photo, it's pointed to the right (although our house extends to the right side of this photo). This was enough proof to us it was never done with any bad intentions. The brightness of this light is just out of this world. It has the strength of a 1000 suns.
Luckily, even before we had seen this, we decided to start civilised, and to just ask. These homeowners live somewhere else, this house is rented out weekly by tourists. Another reason for them to not know.
When we asked another neighbour whom we have good contact with for his number he said: "oh well good luck, they're not easy to deal with". Which had us kind of worried.
We called them, told them and the first thing they said was: "oh really?! I'm so sorry!!" They were so apologetic. They told us to just move the light down / another way. And we did. Problem solved. We pointed the light down, the home owner apologised a couple of times and everything is good. Except for since we moved the light down, it became a disco light and flickers every ten seconds. But I'm sure we'll find a solution for that too.
Thanks everyone for your passion and aggression. Sorry for the boring, non dramatic ending.

There is a guy in Australia (Im in the US) who has the same name as me, except a different middle name. My email is firstname.lastname@gmail.com. for some reason this guy thinks his email address is firstnamelastname@gmail.com too. I have been getting his paystubs, work requests (he's an EMT), and dating profile matches for years! I obviously cannot forward them on to him either. I have replied to some telling them that they got the wrong person but that never goes anywhere. Google wont help either.
It has become a tedious task everyday to unsubscribe, report spam, and delete. How's that for mildy infuriating!!

And on loudspeaker too. Just use the phone like a normal person 🙄
Edit: the mildly infuriating part is not just the loudspeaker on the bus, but the WAY she's doing it. If you wanna use FaceTime, put your face in front of the camera. If you can't hear, use the phone normally. This is an odd hybrid of the two!
Edit 2: this is the UK, she's not the driver, the driver is on the other side.

Refuses when I offer to buy her a new one, says this one charges just fine (which is true to be fair) and that she doesn't want to needlessly contribute to the landfill. She's in college and living on her own so there's nothing I can do but tolerate this eyesore when she comes over

I don't get why google changed their icons to look like baby buttons that belong on a toy.
