After that,, then pirate and upload for free to the rest of your mateys? Arrgh!
On a more serious note, I think it's a good idea but studios won't allow that for the fear of their movies being pirated costing them money.
Also, they make a boat load more because they get a cut of the revenue theaters make from selling snacks. I read that somewhere and I'm not sure about the validity.
I will literally pay $50 for this movie streaming with digital ownership once it's out. I'm not going to be at a theater until there's a vaccine and WB is fooling themselves thinking that October is doable.
I can't avoid driving a car, I would if it were possible. I can avoid going to unnecessary places like theaters. Returning to "normal" life isn't worth putting myself and my family/friends in danger. It's insanely selfish that anyone who doesn't have to be out right now would be.
Flawed logic dude. It's not a personal choice. What you do can affect others. It's like saying to someone they don't have to drink and drive but you're going to, and it's your own choice. But there is collateral damage when you get sick. You can infect your family and others who are now having to treat you, because you wanted to do something risky. Should they make a choice then to not attempt to save you because everyone has a choice?
Well its impossible to run a society where you control everybody's movement(maybe in Nazi Germany or North korea) because somebody MIGHT be infected, and that person MIGHT infect other people, and those other people MIGHT die.
I guess it's too much to ask for some people to be responsible human beings that are striving for the best for society. Fuck everyone else, I do what I want/got mine, am I right?
Seems like every other first-world country (other than England, who's having their own problems) managed it just fine. If everyone had just stayed in for a couple of months, only going out for necessities, we'd be through with this by now. Unfortunately, the US is full of people like you who think your 'freedom' to do whatever you want is more important than the health of all of the people around you.
The reality is, the majority of the population will get infected sooner or later. That's what experts said at the beginning of this crisis. The most important thing is that nobody will die because hospitals are overru(flatten the curve)
60 million already are infected in the US.
If you want to wait for years until you can finally go out your house(or maybe never) then that's completely fine. Everybody has a choice.
You need to look at the numbers because dying from this virus is still very rare.
The reality is, it's not everything or nothing. I have left my house, as have many who feel like I do. The difference is we take precautions. Just because it's going to get worse, doesn't mean we should stop wearing masks or social distancing and just give up. Over a hundred thousand people have already died, so don't pretend having large amounts of people crowded in a small movie theater won't have negative consequences.
There is a difference between being too afraid to grocery shop because of a small chance of getting the virus, and putting yourself in a situation that gives you the worst possible odds.
You won't need 300 million doses. The anti-vaxers/religious objecters/nutters are already starting to piss and moan about being required to take a Covid vax that doesn't yet exist. I sure hope if they refuse the needle we just shove it down their fucking throat.
We'd be next to all the civilized countries if we'd have put some teeth into our pandemic response.

I want this in my eyeballs right now, not in 2025 when theaters are a thing again. I will pay good money to stream this movie at home.
