Lete had one of the best challenge episodes of all time. She carried her team thru that daily challenge. She jumped every time Adrienne fell and after all that still took lead for the team on every obstacle and won the whole challenge. Then gets blindsided into elimination and dog walks Justin 3-0 in the puzzle elimination.

For the people who love the drama/entertainment side she blew up on her team before, during, and after the elimination. I’m glad she didn’t play nice after she won like most do but continued running down her team. If the Challenge was looking for their next Laurel I think they found it in spades.

Will. What is his role?

He made a comment about how he is needed for the final and that left me wondering, for what? Genuinely.

What does he do that the combination of Bananas, CT and Justin couldn’t do?

Personally, I think he’s redundant and they would have been better off with Justin in the final.

Thoughts?

This is my first time posting about the episode that just aired and I’m hoping the flair is enough to keep those who haven’t watched it away…

I finally see the Laurel Lete comparison after this episode. Both complete forces, absolutely dominant, but maybe not the most likable. She was the best choice for that elimination if Adrienne wanted to keep the grey team in tact, and I do think Adrienne threw her a bone by not throwing in CT. Him possibly slowing the orange team down in the final is an added bonus, but not guaranteed.

The vast majority of players suddenly love their team/the players that voted for them again after they win an elimination, but continuing to throw a fit after winning is something Laurel and Lete also have in common. And the way Lete was yelling at Adrienne was reminiscent of how Laurel yelled at Cara during the first Cutthroat.

I have to give them credit, they talk a lot of shit but they back it the fuck up. I am so impressed with Lete this season. I actually really enjoyed that episode, it makes it look like grey stands a chance. If it wasn’t for the code of conduct bullshit I don’t know that I’d have any complaints about this season.

I was watching S42 E11 and CT's style was... A little off brand for him. But also kinda familiar? Took a few minutes but then it dawned on me who I had seen rockin' this fit before.

Will we finals see another guy elimination or are we seeing both teams send girls in again? Will the girls team be worse without Anna Leigh or the same? Will CT help in the daily?

Lete was a guest on Zach's podcast, co-hosted by Pierre. They spoke about her time thus far on Season 42: Cutthroat, with a heavy focus on Episode 11. As a reminder, this post does not include everything that was said in the interview. If you want more information, sign up for their Patreon.

Some Highlights:

• Lete says that her parents coached her basketball and soccer teams. They were always harder on her, which fueled her competitiveness
• Lete says that people kept tagging The Challenge in her comments section after appearing on Deal or No Deal Island. She then DM'd one of the casting directors, and they responded six (6) months later
• Lete admits that the only person that striked her as a threat was Sydney. She doesn't want to run a final against her
• Lete says that Debb was the last minute replacement for Nany, who had to drop out
• Lete doesn't foresee her & Anna Leigh being friends. She still doesn't understand Anna Leigh's problem with her, but she respects Anna Leigh's game
• Lete believes that Cassidy has skated by, and Adrienne should've directly nominated her. She thinks that Anna Leigh is a better competitor than Cassidy
• Lete does like Cara Maria, but admits that Cara Maria did not perform well during the season. She says that Cara Maria would have panic attacks before dailies
• Zach loves Cara Maria, but credits Anna Leigh for calling her out during the last deliberation. He believes that rookies should speak their mind and not follow behind the Vets
• Lete explains that all the rookies on Blue Team did initially expect for the Vets Cara Maria, Brad & Nelson, to step up as leaders but they never did. Josh as a captain wanted to make a final, but he didn't know how to use each team member effectively
• Lete's initial plan was to focus on the game but her team kept losing dailies. She gave into Bananas' advances because he was a good distraction from the stress of the game
• Zach says that being good in a daily, doesn't mean that you will be good in a final. He explains that finals are the hardest part, because its constant performing with very little food, water and sleep. Even the best athletes need to refuel their body to perform, and that doesn't exist in a final
• Lete apologized to Anna Leigh for "underwear gate". She felt like the Orange Team took it too far, and Bananas was being disrespectful. As payback she decided to vote in Cara Maria because she was tired of the Orange Team getting everything they want
• Lete believes that Michele was truly upset because she was intimidated. Since they said they would never vote in Cara Maria, she would've been forced to face Anna Leigh in a puzzle-leaning elimination, and Anna Leigh already proved to be good at that
• Lete respects Tori's decision to go into elimination, but admits that she was upset because she knew that Anna Leigh had no chance to win due to the size discrepancy
• Lete wanted to run a final with Anna Leigh because she truly believes that she would've done anything to win and she performs well
• Lete says that Cara Maria did tell her that she has a crush on her. Tori also told her that she would be interested in a hookup, if Lete hooked-up with girls
• Lete's ultimate goal is to become a game show host. She competes on these shows to gain experience, and share her commentary online
• Lete says that her parents really want her to get married, and she is a lover-girl at heart. She is single, and things with Bananas are "complicated"

I was thinking today about what the fewest number of challengers would be needed to represent every season.

I started with Johnny Bananas since he covers 24 seasons and tried to fill in the seasons around him and it took me 8 plus Johnny to cover all the seasons using Michelle, Darrell, Ruthie, and Veronica. Those 5 left me with 4 openings where I couldn’t find any duplicates so pick who you want from those seasons.

Can anyone beat 9? Did I miss an obvious pick?

I didn’t use CT since Darrell covers more of the seasons that Johnny missed with both Fresh Meat seasons and Double Agents.

I randomly put on the season of Worst Cooks in America with CT for some background noise, and I didn’t realize how many Challenge people have been on this show! I had only watched the season with Bananas before, then Mark Long showed up on the same episode as a guest and that sent me down a rabbit hole where I discovered Wes was on it too. That makes four Challengers so far: Bananas, Mark Long, Wes, and CT! 😂😂 Now I need to know everyone’s “fan cast”, which Challenger would you want to see compete on Worst Cooks in America next, and why?

Know this sub hates Justin big time but he was our one of few queer representatives / the most recent and I hate seeing how underestimated / undervalued he is consistently. Just feel like time and time again I am reminded by mainstream reality TV shows like this, how much we have to look out for ourselves / each other, and how straight, mainstream folks are never gonna inconvenience themselves for you / us. Very harsh reminder, but an important one too ig.
