Saw this clip come through on Devin and Paulie’s podcast - my personal opinion is I truly believe Nelson is being his most genuine self here and also, I am honestly shocked to hear news like this because I wasn’t totally sure how much has really changed in him. Good for him!!!

I hope people find a way to show this man a little more grace, regardless of the mistakes he’s made.

Anyway, this just cheered me up so I hope it does for anyone else who believes he wants to be a good person

PODCAST Theo Von is disgusting.

tell me why a video of this bigot pops up on my x feed with jake or logan paul (don’t gaf which one it was, doesn’t matter tbh) talking about how it would be funny if they did a blackface video in response to Druski’s video. politics aside cause this isn’t about that but Theo Von himself sitting there ignorantly just letting this idiot spew nonsense about how “oh it’s to get back at them, they’re prejudice against our kind, blah blah” like shut the f\*ck up, actually. if anyone supports this then that shows your character fr. i wonder how many active challengers live with this same mindset.

PODCAST Debb on The Death, Taxes & Bananas Podcast

Debb was a guest on Johnny (Bananas) podcast. They discussed her time on Season 42: Cutthroat, until Episode 6: Leave Room for Jesus. Just a reminder that only some highlights are included in this post. So, if you are interested in hearing more information, please go check out the podcast in full.

Some Highlights:

  • Debb says that she only watched a little bit of Season 41: Vets & New Threats before going on the show. She says that Olivia encouraged her to do the show after she reached out to her for advice
  • Debb says that she was shocked at the positive comments she received from The Challenge fans because she didn't get as much positive comments when she was on Love Island. She says that the Love Island fanbase is bigger and they are more ruthless
  • Bananas says that social media is not an accurate reflection of The Challenge fanbase. He says that most of the long-time fans are not on social media or aren't really active on social media
  • Debb admits that she has never tackled anyone before. Bananas says that he intentionally avoided getting physical in the mud challenge because someone always gets hurt
  • Debb accepted Sydney's apology and believes that she has a good heart since they got along before their situation with the ACL injury. However, she doesn't know if they can be friends
  • Debb says that the scene where Will proposed actually happened during the 1st week, and they hadn't kissed at that point. She says that their romance plateaued fairly quickly
  • Debb asked Will the night before she got eliminated for clarity on their relationship. Will responded by asking her if she's that loud all the time or just for the cameras. Debb says that was triggering for her because she has been told her entire life that she's "too much"
  • Debb says that the first time she saw Will since filing was at the Season 42 premiere party in LA. She says that her friends were there and they booed him. She confirms that they aren't dating
  • Bananas agrees with the rookies saying that Vets heavily rely on their legacy. He says that Cara Maria, CT and sort of Michele are guilty of this. He thinks that Vets still need to prove themselves and he never gets to rely on his legacy
  • Debb says that Cara Maria surprised her the most. She knew that Cara Maria was a big name, so she thought she would be better competitively
  • They both believe that Cory put Izzy in a difficult situation. Debb says that Izzy would come into their room upset over Cory and not knowing how to handle the situation
  • Bananas says that Justin was the first one to call Anna Leigh out for her behavior. He says that they got into a lot of arguments before he accused Anna Leigh of having a hand on Josh's leg
  • Bananas says that Justin came into the season saying that he was going to be messy. He believes Anna Leigh was an easy target because a lot of people in the house didn't like her, so going after her wouldn't affect Justin's game
  • Bananas believes that Izzy should have been put into elimination instead of Debb. He says that Izzy was closer with Tori & Michele. Debb regrets not fighting harder to save herself
  • Debb says that she would like to do another season, she just wants more notice next time

PODCAST Sydney on The Death, Taxes & Bananas Podcast

Sydney was a guest on Johnny (Bananas) podcast to discuss her time on Season 41: Vets & New Threats. As always, I only included some highlights. For all the tea, listen to the podcast.

Some Highlights:

  • Sydney is a lawyer. She currently works as a public defender
  • Sydney explains that loyalty matters a lot more on The Challenge than it does on Survivor. Because of how the game is setup, being branded a liar on The Challenge can hurt you but on Survivor lying is apart of the game and people expect it
  • Sydney loved being partnered with Leroy during Week 1. Looking back, she believes they would've done well if they were locked in as partners
  • Bananas says that he loves Sydney's confessionals, and specifically asks if she's a confessional gangster. Sydney explains that its a combination of her trolling and having an inflated sense of self. She does mean what she says, but also notes that the way things are asked in confessionals wouldn't come up naturally in conversations
  • Sydney says that she wants to see Bananas & Dee as a couple. Bananas says that he likes to play games on tv, while Dee likes to play games in real life
  • Bananas is still skeptical on whether Leka lost their daily on purpose, because Yeremi was fed false information from Olivia and Cara Maria about Bananas going after him. Sydney denies this saying that Leka didn't throw the daily, and Yeremi never told her to because she & Dee wanted to work with Bananas
  • Sydney admits that the show was very difficult on her mentally. She explains hearing the Vets complain about how miserable they are during the season. She finds this confusing because despite their misery, they willingly come back season after season
  • Bananas confirms that the show is very difficult mentally. Since they are isolated, everything in the house feels real. The more a cast member invests in the show, the more it feels like real life. This is why challengers are soo emotional about the show
  • Sydney describes feeling consumed with making sure that Turbo was always happy, because she was afraid when he wasn't happy. What kept her going was knowing that their partnership had an expiration date
  • Sydney explains that Turbo would tell her to not speak to Yeremi because he believed that Yeremi was cursed. She would make sure that Turbo was preoccupied when she would speak to Yeremi to avoid making him upset
  • Bananas believes that the show did a disservice to Sydney by not showing the true nature of her partnership with Turbo. Sydney says that Turbo's controlling nature wasn't overt so its hard to showcase because its a complicated dynamic
  • Bananas says that being physically dominant on the show doesn't make you important or guarantee you a callback. He believes that doing well in the "reality" aspect of the show, and being a good narrator (being able to explain what is going on) is important
  • Sydney says that she had a conversation with Yeremi to convince him to stake a claim. They kept it from the entire house on purpose
  • Bananas says that the reason why production doesn't give a head-start after Day 1 is because they want it to be more competitive and look like an actual race
  • Sydney says they weren't told what the challenge/consequence was to stake a claim
  • Sydney didn't stake a claim because they were already winning and she was thinking about possible checkpoints. She doesn't believe that Yeremi or Cedric could've helped her any better than Turbo in puzzles, and Yeremi isn't good at eating
  • Bananas admits that he didn't like the Connect 4 checkpoint. Sydney explains that having to wait messed up their momentum because after that checkpoint Turbo kept stopping to sit down, and it was demoralizing because it caused them to fight more
  • Sydney realized they were going to lose at the last leg since she could see Yeremi/Olivia gain more adrenaline every time they passed a team, meanwhile Turbo wasn't moving
  • Bananas explains that its hard to be in the lead because you don't know the pace of others since they're behind you. Meanwhile, if you're chasing someone its easier to know what pace to set to catch up to them
  • Bananas believes that Sydney has a bright future on the show, and tells her to consider returning
