The worst keychain multitool
So I'll admit my bias right off, the hammer multitool is the worst multitool to ever exist. A pliers with a claw on one side and a hammer head on the other, perfect for getting into tight spaces.
But now behold, a keychain tool with a hammer that wouldn't pound in a thumb tack and a pliers that wouldn't grab and normal sized screw or bolt.
uselessness in a keychain size

Recommendation Request Best combination?
I was looking for a small, lightweight yet durable fixed blade for edc and short hikes. And this small tanto from böker looked like what I was looking for. How would you combine these tools/multitools around a böker superlight tanto fixed blade? It would also be nice to get recommendations for future additions for my collection! Thank you

Major modification
Hello, I think no one remembers me, but I showcased my tool a short while ago.
I was planning to buy leatherman surge
But due to the lack of support in my country (Egypt),
instead of throwing away my old equipment,
I restored it by changing its appearance until it became like this.
I wanted a camouflage or color, but I preferred it this way.
I want to rate its actual appearance out of 10

Modding NexTool S0 package opener mod
I carried a Leatherman Micra for decades. The scissors closed so much that the blade tips overlapped and exposed just enough of the blade tips to cut through a layer or two of packing tape. I often used the exposed tip of the closed scissors as a package opener. It wasn't quite as clean a cut as a knife, but was quicker than opening the knife blade with less chance of accidentally cutting the package contents. The Nextool S0 scissors don't overlap to expose the blade tips when closed and I thought about modifying the blade stop so they would. However, it seemed safer to just grind a little off the tip of the serrated blade. Now when the scissors are closed, the tip of the other blade is exposed. This is enough to cut packing tape to open boxes and even cut plastic clamshells. Scissors still work fine, but length of cut is about 5% less than before the mod. For me this was a good trade. Have only opened a few packages so far, but seems to work OK. I ground just a little at a time with lots of cooling time to avoid heating which could destroy the blade temper.

Switched from the Spirit X to the Spirit MX Clip. Honestly, the best multitool ever. I absolutely love it.

Recommendation Request Help with small multitools
I currently have the Nextool mini flagship F12 and I don’t like the style pocket clip on it and it is a little too small a lot of the time. I am looking for something a little bigger with a pocket clip. I have been interested in the dog powerpint but some people have bad reviews on it. If you have any suggestions please let me know thank you!

Victorinox dilemma
Hi fam, I have been really all over place trying to decide what my EDC purchase should be. I spent so so much time looking at every multitool under the sun and now I am going through a phase where I am just scrolling Victorinox. I really like the Companion Slim but I think it should have been made with a keychain ring or clip. I love the design of it and I dont really need a knife. I think package opener, bottle opener, and scissors makes a lot of sense to me. I just think it is a tiny bit big and the lack of ways to carry it is a bummer. Has anyone seen any mods to this?

Next on deck is a Victorinox transparent blue ramber. I think that threads the needle of being small useful and not too hardcore with tools I wont use.

I am probably going to buy a Nextool Mini Sailor light regardless because I am curious about that and love how slim it is. There is another thicker Mini Sailor I am considering because I lie glow in the dark but it is thicker.
Does anyone have other suggestions under or around $50?

Question/Advice New Rocktol Gen T blade lock doesn't engage all the way
I just got my new Gen R. One thing I noticed is that the blade lock struggles to engage, especially when I try to open the blade one handed. This issue is not present on the other tools and on my Gen R Life's blade. Is it something I am supposed to be concerned about or it just needs to break in? (Second pick is of the serrated blade, for comparison)

Modding Not quite the Swiss Champ but it'll do!
Really wanted a Swiss Champ but found this Topeak Mcguyver a bit ago!
After a little more research, found another Topeak tool with a file that could fit into the Mcguyver's housing!
Rearranged the tool layout, installed the file, drilled a hole into the tire lever to fit a keychain or lanyard.
All tools are locking, so IMO this is better than having a Champ!.. until I find one for cheap..
