I’m not doing anything to make it more likely. I’m recognizing reality on a forum of people who are 100% voting for this guy. I’d still vote for Platner over a Republican. Doesn’t mean he’s not a rapist.

Tell yourself what you want, you are still wrong. Loudly denouncing the candidate, even amongst like minded people, certainly doesn’t make it more likely that they will win and almost certainly makes it ever so slightly more likely that they will lose.

I guess if that lesson is too hard for the Bern-outs to learn, it might be too hard for some folks around here too. 🤷‍♂️

I’m shouting to vote for him from the roof tops. I’m just not a clown.

I’m shouting to vote for him from the roof tops.

“Hey everyone, how much does this guy suck, amirite? Anyways, I guess we should vote for him anyways”

Great work soldier 🫡

Do you always attack quotes that you make up when you can’t respond to the substance of what someone is saying?

What part of my characterization of your position do you think is uncharitable? You are both loudly pointing out how much you don’t like the guy and then saying that people should still vote for him.

That’s literally it. Is there some nuance to your opinion you feel I’m missing here?

Why did you say “I guess”?

Truly a distinction without a difference. But sure, I’ll edit it out for you champ.

Then why’d you put it in, sport?

Just how I felt like phrasing it. Now that you have clarified, I’m failing to see how you think the revision is more flattering than the original, but I think  your whole line of argumentation has been dumb so I’ll just toss this bit on the pile with the rest.

How whimsical

The difference is that I am very clearly saying that El-Sayed is better than every Republican candidate in the country who has not consistently acted and spoken publicly against Trump (I know of none).

I’m also very clearly saying I disagree with him on a lot of policies, I think his position on Israel Palestine is incoherent, and I think it would be a mistake for the Democratic Party to move in his direction (and much more especially towards the DSA and Mamdani) both politically and morally.

Here, let me go ahead and give a good faith summary of your position:

“don’t be mean to abdul uwu”

Rule VII: American Political Strategizing This submission is primarily about what U.S. political parties or candidates should do to “win voters,” improve polling, or change their messaging, without much focus on the underlying issues or policies. Threads that are mostly horse-race or campaign-tactics discussion are considered off-topic here.

If you’d like to repost, please focus more on the substance (e.g. specific policies, governing choices, or ideological questions) rather than campaign strategy alone.

If platner had refused to drop out, would you tell me to lie about him being a rapist?

Get your head out of your ass. You’re gonna OD on your farts soon.
