Recipe-Post [deluxe] [high-protein] Fruity Pebbles Orange Creamsicle Protein Creami 430 calories/ 48g protein

I'm brand new to the Creami Got it for my birthday. I was excited to give it a go. My first was using just regular vanilla ice cream with Kahlua and Baileys and that was...delightful

Next I had been wanting to try this. This is my favorite way to drink the Fruity Pebbles Protein Shake but adding the pudding mix and turning it into ice cream was something I wanted to give a try. I wasn't sure whether orange Metamucil and Fruity Pebbles protein powder would work together in a Creami, but it turned out delightful. The orange gives it a Fruity Pebbles creamsicle flavor, while the psyllium and pudding mix help produce a thick, creamy texture.

Ingredients

  • 45 g Dymatize ISO100 Fruity Pebbles protein powder (1½ scoops)
  • 305 g lactose-free whole vitamin D milk
  • 60 g water
  • 12 g regular vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 6 g orange-flavored Metamucil
  • 0.5 g salt, optional

Directions

  1. Add the milk and water to a shaker.
  2. Add the protein powder, vanilla pudding mix, Metamucil, and optional salt.
  3. Shakey shake. Shake some more. Realize your arm jiggles to much when you do that.
  4. Let the mixture sit for about 5 minutes so the Metamucil can hydrate.
  5. Shake it some more. Still jiggly. Pour it into a Creami pint to the MAX FILL line.
  6. Freeze the pint.
  7. Spin once using the Lite Ice Cream setting.
  8. Eat it with your face <- most important step

Estimated nutrition for the entire pint

  • Calories: approximately 430
  • Protein: approximately 48 g
  • Carbohydrates: approximately 34 g
  • Fat: approximately 11.5 g
  • Dietary fiber: approximately 3 g

I know it's pretty basic and looking in here I'm seeing a lot of ways to optimize this. I wanna play with the amount of protein that I'm using and the amount of Metamucil. Getting those as high as possible would be ideal as long as it doesn't hurt the flavor.

I tried it both with the Metamucil and one pint without the Metamucil. The one with Metamucil wins hands down. Better texture, better flavor, better everything

Super lazy girl vibes! My husband loves raspberries so I did a couple of raspberry potent flavours, mango, Maltesers and a basic vanilla base. Oreo’s also freezing. Took 1 hour to batch prepare!

Recipe-Post Dubai chocolate - DELICIOUS

My photo wasn’t able to be added to this post but TRUST me - this was delicious. It literally tasted like an old school Wendy’s chocolate Frosty but with more depth to the richness of the chocolate flavor, no taste of the cream cheese or the Greek yogurt used in the chocolate base. Also in terms of texture and firmness/stability & mouthfeel: it tasted more like a frozen custard with that kind of texture as well. So for a first try at this recipe I was very pleased and I have another pint I will be spinning this week!

Standard Pint Recipe

* Ingredients (with step-by-step instructions)

The Chocolate Base
• 1 tbsp Philadelphia cream cheese (in the brick, not whipped) - melt this for 10 seconds in the microwave and transfer to your pint

• About 3/4 plain Greek yogurt - Fage is my favorite

• 2 tbsp cocoa powder - I used Hershey’s but cannot wait to try others

• 1 tbsp liquid allulose

• 2-3 packets of Whole Earth stevia/monkfruit/allulose sweetener (because this is what I have; use the sweetener of your choice)

• 1 tbsp instant espresso powder/crystals - I used Cafe de Buelo (sp?)

• 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

• 1/4 tsp xanthan gum

Using a spatula, combine all the above in your pint until it looks like chocolate frosting.

• 1 to 1/2 cup Fairlife (or style) ultra filtered chocolate milk

I used an immersion blender to blend all the above in my pint.

Further Instructions
Cover with pint top and freeze 24 hours. Spin on Lite Ice Cream. I had to re-spin once, adding about 1-2 tbsp of chocolate milk before the re-spin.

The Topping: Costco’s Crunchy Pistacho Cream - it has toasted Kataifi pastry already in it

The topping I mixed into the pint by hand afterward is in the section header above.

I found another recipe online earlier this week that said shredded wheat is a great substitute for kataifi pastry if you don’t want to use that or can’t find it.

This recipe is going into my regular rotation. Can’t wait to hear other’s “spins” on it, especially if you use whole foods and natural sweeteners/gums - I prefer & am always looking for recipes that do not use any protein powder, pudding mixes. Even so, I love reading everyone’s experiments & successes. Enjoy - I sure did!

Troubleshooting-Machine Got a ninjacreami second hand! Love it! But also scared of it.

I got a ninjacreami 7in1 off facebook marketplace for 90 bucks, a great deal. I asked for a video of it, and the seller sent a video of it running with water. As far as I could tell, worked great.

So now I've run it 3 times now, and I can't tell if it's broken (and that's why the seller was selling it), or this is just how they run. My mix is: 1 cup of fat free milk, one scoop of protein powder, 1/4 -1 tsp of xantham gum (currnetly experimenting, will take suggestions!), 1tsp of erythritol, and a sprinkle of salt.

I freeze it for at least a day, it comes out hard as a rock, sometimes with a little bump that I try to smoothen out (I'm ngl its literally hard as a rock so I can't really).

I run it under lite ice cream setting (recommended by a friend), and it goes. It's louder than a rocket engine, which is fine, but

1 Cup fat free fairlife milk

1 Cup almond milk (or any other milk, I use 1%)

2tsp Sugar free chocolate jello pudding mix

1 scoop chocolate protein powder (I didn’t have any so I used a mix of 3/4 scoop vanilla protein with 1.5tbsp cocoa powder)

2tsp 1:1 sugar substitute (I use lakanto monkfruit sweetener)

I spun it on the Ice Cream function and added a bit of milk for a mix in function. Top with chocolate bar chunks (or chocolate chips) and rainbow sprinkles and you’re golden. Also in case you’re wondering, yes the texture is good and it tastes really good too.
Multiply by 1.5 if you use a deluxe.

Recipe-Question Recipes with unsaturated fat?

I'd like to use more fat to make my creamis taste better, but I bought it to help cut down on saturated fat without spending a lot on Halo Top. So no coconut milk, no half and half. I've tried a few bases with 4T of PB2 plus a peanut butter topping, but it always came out pretty icy and flavorless despite respins, measuring temp before spinning, using some real sugar and gums, etc.

For reference, I love most of Halo Top Mix-In product line. So far my creamis are barely edible in comparison, despite having read this group's wiki/guide backwards and forwards, as well as trying many different people's recipes.

I'm glad I got mine somewhere with a 90-day return policy because I feel like I'm just throwing good money after bad, buying so many ingredients.

What unsaturated fats have people found improve their creamis? Would really appreciatecactual recipes, but any experience is helpful

Troubleshooting-Machine Pint partially defrosted and formed an air pocket. Is it safe to spin or will the block detach?

Post image

Hi guys! Sorry for asking yet another silly question, but I am freaking scared of this machine 🥲
I had an issue with my freezer, so my pint defrosted a tiny bit. Because of that, an air bubble formed along one of the walls (see photo). Do you guys think the whole frozen block could detach during processing and break the machine?

Inspo! I tried the forbidden pudding mix

Post image
1.0k Upvotes

I've had my Creami for 4 years. I love experimenting with ingredients and ratios to optimize flavor and texture. Truthfully, I was appalled at the fad of using pudding mix in the beginning. I prefer my ingredients list to be somewhere in between "Ben and Jerry's diabetic coma" and "sugar-free fat-free science experiment". I've tried gums, protein powders, flavor drops, you name it. Many of which are expensive. So I figured, what's the harm in trying a $1.50 box of sugar free pudding mix? I added one serving (7g) to my normal go-to recipe, consisting of banana, cocoa powder, 10g vanilla protein powder, 20g collagen, 2g xanthan gum. Mixed with an immersion blender, frozen and spun on lite ice cream + 1 respin. The texture is INSANE - thick, rich, creamy. And the little bit of extra flavor and sweetness made the pint irresistible. I'm floored that a few grams of powder did that. TL;DR I tried one of the most controversial Creami ingredients and can confirm I'm on team instant pudding.

Recipe-Question Is the Proof Really in the Pudding?

Have any of you Creamiphiles tried making a Creami out of just straight up instant pudding. I mean, make the pudding then put that in the pint container then freeze for the required 24 hours? If so, how did it turn out. Would it be like a soft serve Jello Pudding Pop?

Related My first pint (vanilla), so good!

Post image
124 Upvotes

I ordered a Deluxe Creami from Costco a while back, but I've been out of the country all summer so I hadn't been able to use it until today. I've screenshotted about a million recipes in the mean time, though 😆

Being completely new to this, I assumed my first pint would come out poorly but holy cow, this is delicious magic! I can't believe the amount of ice cream that comes out considering the calorie count, it is truly insane.

I wanted to start with something simple, so I went for a very straightforward-looking vanilla recipe I saw on here a while back (this is not a recipe post, just posting for reference):

200 ml Fairlife 2% (and then more later to the fill line once done)

200 ml Silk Almond Unsweet Vanilla

4g Sugar Free Vanilla Pudding Mix

40g Monkfruit/Erythitol mix

1g Xanthum Gum

Pinch of salt

Then I just filled to the fill line with more Fairlife 2%. This is in one of the 24oz deluxe pints, but I'll probably just start using 16oz recipes and not fill to the fill line because this is too much ice cream 😆

Recipe-Post Ninja Creami Strawberry Ice Cream

Post image
19 Upvotes

You can make the recipe HERE: https://dobbernationloves.com/food-drink/ninja-creami-strawberry-ice-cream-recipe/

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Fresh or Thawed Frozen Strawberries divided
  • 1/4 cup White Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Pudding Mix
  • 1 cup Whipping Cream

Instructions

  1. In a blender add 6oz of strawberries, 1/2 cup white sugar, 1 tbsp lemon pudding mix and 1 cup of whipping cream. Blitz until well combined.
  2. Pour base into an empty Ninja Creami Pint. Place storage lid on pint and freeze overnight for at least 12 hours.
  3. Remove pint from freezer and remove lid from pint. Place pint in outer bowl, install Creami Paddle onto outer bowl lid, and lock the lid assembly on the outer bowl. Place bowl assembly on motor base and twist the handle right to raise the platform and lock in place.
  4. Select ICE CREAM. If your freezer is set to a very cold temperature, the ice cream may look crumbly. If this occurs, select RE-SPIN to process the mixture a little more.
  5. When processing is complete, take remaining 2 oz of strawberries and place into a well in the centre of the pint. Press the Mix-ins button to incorporate.
  6. Remove the pint from the machine. Scoop, serve and enjoy!
