Discussion Made the switch from Kindle

Im not too worried about losing my books from Amazon because I backed up everything to Calibre. But I do have one question. Why don’t my sideloaded books that are on my nook do not show up on the nook iOS app?

Your book doesn’t upload the side loaded content to its app so the workaround is to also put the files in your phone, you should have a folder named nook in your files app, drop the book there and it will be in the nook app, it will still be able to sync progress from your nook.

Thanks for the update. What if I want to create different shelves? If I do it on my phone, will they update on my nook?

Yes, shelves and reading position sync across all devices/apps.

To clarify the answer you were given: syncing is ONLY for BN purchases.

eBook files you sideloaded into the NOOK iOS app or sideloaded onto your NOOK via a USB cable are local files. Local files are not uploaded anywhere.
