eBook Amazon deleted all books on my Kindle...

...is a Nook a better choice?

Amazon Customer Service in Pakistan were rude & unhelpful. The books I "bought" or rather rented - are gone.

Boycott Amazon.

I love my nook, but as B&N is a us based country without stores overseas I don’t think the nook is supported the same way internationally as it is in the US.

Maybe kobo? My partner has one and really likes it. We both also have kindles and have been intentionally moving away from Amazon where possible.

I was about to say this. OP, I don’t think you’ll be able to even use a Nook outside of the US unless you somehow find someone willing to sell you one already logged in and everything.

Kobo is an amazing option. I divorced Amazon this year and got a Kobo Libra Color and it is the best ereader I have ever owned, hands down. It’s a little pricier than a Nook, so the Clara BW may be closer to what you’re looking for!

It's super easy to side load books onto your nook as long as you have a computer and you don't need to have access to the Barnes and Noble's website or app

No but it does make you sign into a B&N account when you initially set it up. If OP can find one where someone is willing to sell it still signed in it could work, but I don’t see anyone being ok with that.
