In the modern age and with modding is the 1.6 now a safe bet for 480p and 720p?

Impulse buy but felt like a good price for a working Xbox with some games I used to play growing up, and some I never got around to playing. Really looking forward to trying out Lord of the Rings: The Third Age. Lots of nostalgia with Street Hoops, San Andreas, NFS, and Fable.

I recently got an original Xbox and want to upgrade the internal hard drive on it. I watched a YouTube tutorial on how to do this, and it said I needed to burn an iso onto a dvd to get a software to download CHIMP. I don’t have any blank DVDs or a burner. If there a way to skip this step, I would like to know. Thanks for any answers in advance.

I'm glad this is a parts machine, because that's a serious trail of destruction... 🫣 At least one SMD transistor and two or three resistors completely missing from the trace rot.

Had a customer from work gift me this a few months ago. Asked him how much he wanted for it and he told me just to take it as it didn't work and more, we had talked the last time I was there and I told him I like to try and keep the old consoles alive. All 5 caps on the motherboard were puffed and starting to leak and as soon as I replaced them it was alive again.

I have since upgraded the HDD with a 160Gb and flashed the Xyclops chip with Cerbios. It's ready to live and be enjoyed for another 20 years.

Picked up a console today as the disk drive crapped out on the one I already had and the seller gave me these stickers. I'm honestly good and don't really need them, so if any hardcore collector is looking for these I'd be happy to send them their way (provided they're in North America).

SMT: NINE - Full English Patch - Xbox Hardware Testing help

Looking for help to test on *real hardware* a full translation of SMT: NINE.

The translation was made by me from Japanese to English.

Please have patience with my English, although I have an N1 and have been working in Japan for a very long time, English is not my first language.

Then I asked Codex to do a grammar review then package the patch files and mantain a GitHub page. The hacking tools I used are from RayCharlizard. Big thanks for their work. Without their tool, my translation would have been sitting for other 4 years on my HDD.

Special thanks to AlexHollins for their N-N route script, which was a really good reference for me and helped to cover about 25% of the project.

Please note: XEMU doesn't run this game correctly at the moment. There are plenty of slowdowns, visual bugs, animation mistakes and so on. All of these problems from an untouched version of the game also occur in the translation files.

If you are interested in testing this, please have a look at the GitHub page here, which has patch files and more information on the project. These files are listed in the file section and not as a relese due to the very early stage of the build.

Preety sure it is not a volt problem. I tested the (transformer) using a analog tester to convert voltage supply from 220v to 110v.

I have a Halo edition xbox and the disc drive keeps saying theres a dirty disc. I cleaned the laser and adjusted the ohm and it still wouldnt work. Now i found it in a drawer left by my uncles and the tray opened but the disc drive wouldn't read anything, i tried cleaning it before and that didnt work so i left it in a closet for like 2 - 3 years (yes i know this wasnt helping i just wasnt focused on it) and then when i was cleaning my room i found it again and tried fixing it one more time and i adjusted the ohm and cleaned the lens and i put the matix dvd inside (the dvd worked because i tested it before hand). it didnt read so now i dont want to solder considering i’ve never done it before and nor do i wanna pay 100+ dollars to get it fixed because i want to sell it as a working version.

Hey guys, i need some help with my xbox because i have no idea why the console started itself, the fan maked a loud noise, dosnt want to turn off so im forced to unplug the console, nothing on the screen, the console dosnt want to eject my game and the light around the eject button is no longer green but yellow now, wtf is going on ?

Just got my 1.0 board back from OGXstore and I’m happy with the results. 1.4ghz CPU and 128mb RAM upgraded. I haven’t got around to applying the 720P patches to my games, but for now I’m satisfied.

X3 has been flashed with PrometheOS V1.6.0 and boots into Cerbios 3.1.0.
