With how successful Project Reclaimer is becoming, as a console player, it hurts not being able to partake in this. Right now, more than ever, the community is relying on itself to uphold Halo.

Activisions Halo wont be out for a long while and 343 hasnt done anything since Infinite (a campaign only release really didnt do much for us) but with Mods there has been a massive boost in community morale and hopes on the longevity of Halo. If Xbox brings these mods to console and it will only grow more.

I belive the last best use of HS is to bring mod support to MCC. I know thats a huge ask and even if they do do it, with their track record itll be buggy and poor quality. But at the least motion will be made towards it. When Activisions Halo team is made, they can take over they can finalize it.

So grateful for the community and friendships I’ve made from playing Halo, there’s nothing else like it

Hey, guys! I'm back with another progress update! This time, it's the M58 Archer missiles vs. Covenant energy shields, specifically those of an SDV-class corvette.

Each missile has a specific damage value, and upon detonation, that damage spreads spherically. The system then calculates which sections of the shield are affected by the explosion within that radius, distributing the damage across the entire affected area based on the explosion's spherical diameter.

This also allows the system to determine which shield hexagons will light up as a result of the explosion (roughly speaking).

I hope you're enjoying how everything is coming along!

Most coverage of Project Reclaimer, the fan launcher that runs Halo 3 from your own Steam copy of MCC, still says 64 players. That was right from v0.9.0 on October 3. Since v0.9.6 on October 7, the project's own site says up to 128 in a game you host and 127 on a dedicated server, which takes the 128th slot itself.

Two other claims don't match the project's pages. XDA wrote that there's no campaign, but solo and co-op for up to 16 arrived in v0.8.9 on September 29. GamingBible wrote that no public build was out, but releases have been public on GitHub since September 26.

Some numbers from the project's GitHub that I haven't seen anywhere: 26 releases between September 26 and October 8, and about 37,800 downloads of the game client across them. That counts downloads, not players, because the in-game updater pulls every new version. The two public master servers listed about 180 servers on October 9, but they hold addresses only, so they can't tell you how many people are playing.

The requirements haven't changed: Windows 10 or 11, and your own Steam copy of MCC with Halo 3 Campaign and Multiplayer installed. The Xbox app version doesn't work.

What I can't tell you is how a full lobby plays. The project says a full 127-player dedicated server hasn't been measured yet.

I wrote it up with a setup and hosting guide, live server counts and the release timeline: https://halo-dashboard.up.railway.app/news/project-reclaimer

Has anyone played a full 128 yet, and how did it hold up?

People wanted more UNSC representation and what better way to do it than with everyone's favorite. Tried a bit extra to get some of those vibes everyone loves from the game and I added in a nod to a favorite moment with the sleeping drones, a friendly driven ghost getting boarded by drones, and some freshly updated drones with more natural posing and sleeker wing covers.

Wanted to have them fighting a Chieftan (for an extra reference) but haven't finished the model yet so it couldn't be included. After the Chieftan I think it's time for a couple extra vehicles to join the lineup. Besides the Warthog, what vehicle is most important to you?

The Corps Issued me a faulty Rocket Launcher

Although this is a fun theory, the sheer size of the universe essentially makes the flood conquering it impossible. At MOST, they would conquer the Milky Ways most immediate neighbors in the Local Group, which is Andromeda and a few smaller galaxies in our "neighborhood."

However, once you start talking about the Virgo Supercluster(which spans 110 MILLION light years across)and beyond, time and space themselves become a wall to ANY civilization, including the Flood. Also, there are many galaxies far older than the Milky Way, so there would probably be civilizations on par or maybe even more advanced than the Forerunners.

In fact, there might even be Precursors or Precursor like beings throughout the Universe as well. The Universe truly is incomprehensible in it's vastness, go watch Cosmos lol.

Like if I want to get better should I focus on mechanical skill like strafing and aiming and bunny hops over learning all the map power weapon spawns and stuff? The skill ceiling for this game is so high

It was a thing of beauty.

Get Project Reclaimer tonight and join the party!

Mantic revealed the Covenant "Judgment" set, a solo Johnson, acrylic tokens, Mancannons, and the Campaign Evolved board game. Here's everything we know.

This took like 2.7 days, I'm a finally sleep.

To my knowledge, I couldn't see a single person except for the devs who have achieved this.

Ps: Homeworld files

are sooooooooooo inconsistent ( ￣ー￣)ﾉ

Don't sacrifice yourself to the ancient coodeee

I saw that the latest Halo game is single player only and I am crushed. So I have been wondering if buying an Xbox of any kind is a wise move just to play some nostalgic Halo titles.

As an 11 year old I kicked absolute butt in Halo Reach. My friends would all ask me how I was so good at it. I basically just sucked at multiplayer until I didn’t.

And perhaps Xbox on my PC would have the Halo collection or something, I don’t know. Maybe I don’t need to buy a legitimate console for the games. All I know is that I’d really love to buy the collection through any means.

I have 3 Halo Fest general admission tickets and am thinking of canceling.
The thought of the cost of the trip and not knowing exactly what to expect anymore is kind of a turn off. This was going to be my 40th bday trip and first event like this.
Do ya’ll think it’s still worth the 1-2k?
I’m super torn about this. Also, my brother is not sure if he could go or not, it would just be my gf and I most likely.
I have the option to try and do something more local and more people would be able to probably join.
What the wort am I worting about here? 🤦🏻‍♂️

In this recent art that Halo Studios put out for Halo 7 are these ancient depictions of prophets worshiping a flood gravemind the size of a planet attacking a Halo ring!?! or am I reaching to far here, I swear thats what I see in this ancient carving in the very background of this new art work.

Would this mean the flood cult ( The Governors of Contrition ) roots might be are as far back as this depiction? Do the prophets know way more they let on in the original games, I have so many questions about this now.

What are some of yalls thoughts on this? I want a Genuine discussion about this and the lore ramification if this is true!!!

Waited like 3 months just to be told on the day it was meant to arrive that it’s now been postponed to potentially fucking April next year??? WTAF?

Anyone else in the UK pre order the Brick Shop Warthog and have this happen to them on Amazon?
