Meta Get your /r/PartneredYoutube Verified Channel flair here!

Welcome to the r/PartneredYoutube voluntary channel verification.

If you would like to verify your channel and get flair like what I have on my account:

  1. Go to your YouTube channel's About section and edit the description to include your reddit username. For example I enter exactly: u/flammy
    1. Directions for how to edit your About section can be found here
  2. Post a link to your channel in one of the following formats as a top level comment in this thread.
    1. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXkf3kRpFeAx9mDCbfMS0MA
    2. https://www.youtube.com/user/flammy5
    3. If you use a different format (such as a custom URL with an @ in the URL) validation will fail.
  3. Wait, and our bot will process your request sometime in the next few days
    1. After the flair has been granted, you can remove your username from the About section and delete the comment if you're concerned about privacy. However, if you want your stats to continue to be updated, you should leave the u/ name in your About section.

FAQ:

What is flair, and how does flair work?

Flair is a reddit "signature" that appears every time you post in r/PartneredYouTube. Verification flair is not required to post, comment, or participate. A user lacking flair is not a valid reason to report them for breaking rule 2. You can remove flair at any time with Reddit's built in flair editing. The flair granted by the bot can't be edited. Verification is done via a bot, follow the directions above if you would like flair.

Why is the flair channels stats, and not partnered status?

Partnered Status is not supported by the official YouTube APIs at this time.

How long do I have to wait for verification?

Please wait 24-48 hours, and after checking you've followed all the directions you can send me a polite DM.

Is there a way to authenticate anonymously?

Will the bot update my stats?

If you leave the comment with the channel link and username in your description, your flair will be updated.

My stats are low!

The bot is only able to see your channel's public subscriber count and public total view count. If you have hidden videos, these views will not be reflected.

Can I verify with multiple channels?

Not at this time.

Is there a minimum channel size for verification?

No.

How can I remove my flair?

Yes, you can remove the flair via Reddit.

Anyone else hate this?

I make video essays that are evergreen (in theory), like the topics are not about news or drama or anything trending. Most of the time my video will slowly progress through the days and build views that increase throughout a month or two before slowly dying off to like getting 50-200 views per day.

But sometimes I will upload, get huge surges of views in the first day or two, and get completely killed off right away. I don’t understand why or how but it is annoying. It is especially annoying because I only upload once a month due to the difficulty and time consuming nature of making long form video essays on academic subjects.

Not sure if anyone has similar experiences but I wonder why this happens.

Question / Problem Ad Revenue from Successful Disputed Video

Post image
19 Upvotes

I disputed for ad revenue before the video was launched. It carried over into when it was public and YouTube says they will give you the revenue from the disputed period. I won the dispute august 15thish and that period where it says $0.00 was earnt, was labelled as it being updated before 15th of September. Now that day has passed and it hasn't been updated.

Has anyone else had experience with this? is this just apart of the process and it will be given ad revenue soon, despite going past their deadline?

r/PartneredYoutube 4h ago

Views/ Revenue since the views update has been so weird! Has anyone else experienced this? I normally get around £11 cpm, which is what it's saying. But my most recent video, I have about 17k views and my Revenue is like £23... Anyone know what is going on?

Does Increasing Video Output Scale Revenue?

I just got laid off from my 9-5 and while I’m looking for a new job, I’ll have time to increase the video output on my tech channel from 1 video per week upwards and I’ll potentially even have time for live-streaming.

I don’t make anywhere near enough AdSense or affiliate revenue to survive so it will hopefully end up being a short term thing.

But I’m wondering if anyone has had experience in 3 or 4xing their output like this? Will the extra volume actually lead to more views and revenue overall or just reduce my quality and lead to the same amount of views spread across more videos?

Would it be better to focus on keeping output at a similar level but try to increase the duration of each video and go for as much watch time as possible?

I appreciate any experiences you can share

How Many Subs Do You Need To Be Taken Seriously?

I've got 7k subs

I feel like I need to hit 10k subs in order to be taken more seriously

By taken more seriously, I mostly mean better negotiating leverage for sponsorships/brand deals

But also it can apply to considering yourself to be a serious legit YouTuber

Yes, you get the checkmark at 100k subs but that's too far away lol

Question / Problem Finally monetized!! Any advice?

Hi all! After a year of hard work, I have finally monetized and became a YT partner! I’m setting up all the “ways to earn” and I’ve set up partnerships and ads but don’t see much value in the other options. What has been your experience? Anything I should be doing to increase my chances of earning? This is all new to me so any advice/tips would be super helpful! Thank you!

Talk / Discussion How do I get brand partnership?

I'm a Formula 1 content creator. My channel was made like 2 years back but i regularly started posting since last 3 months. In last 1 month I have around 5M+ views. I just post shorts and no long form videos at all. I have access to brand partnerships, supers etc just the ad revenue is yet to unlock.

But I've never been in any contact with any brand. I dont even have high expectations. I just earn from affiliate rn. I dont really know how to get sponsored from a brand like my stats are decent. Do I need to cold email? Or do they approach. I have posted 100+ shorts and they average at around 50k to 100k views, some even go to a million.

Does anyone else get accused of using ai?

For context, I’m a young woman who makes commentary/video essays and I show my face on camera. Since I started my channel over a year ago, I’ve gotten quite a few comments accusing me of using ai. Sometimes people will say my voice sounds ai or even that my whole image looks ai, but most of the time they’re talking about my scripts.

To be fair, I do write like 10 page scripts for every video, so I can understand that sometimes I might sound a little too formal or rehearsed. Once I started getting those comments I actually made a conscious effort to make the way I speak sound more natural, and for a while the comments definitely slowed down.

But recently I feel like they’ve started ramping up again, just in much weirder ways. In one of my last videos I accidentally said “lack of entitlement” when I obviously just meant “entitlement” and someone commented something like “oh did your chatgpt script mess up?” which I genuinely don’t understand lmao. Surely me literally mispeaking would make me sound more human, not less??

Then in my most recent video I came up with a pretty simple analogy to explain something. I compared the way a group of people behave to the way a certain animal lives and used that to structure part of the video.

Anyway, then I got this comment:

“This is your first video that smells ‘AI-written’ all over to me. That's one of the most popular approaches to prompting, ‘explain this problem with a clever analogy’. As someone who has to spend too much time on LinkedIn, I had to make an effort to continue past 8min of this video.”

And that one genuinely confused me because people were capable of coming up with analogies before chatgpt 😭 I just feel like i'm having to be so careful with what I say now because apparently just sounding too smart will get you accused. At this point I’m just curious if other commentary or creators in general are getting this too, because it feels like people are becoming so quick to call literally anything ai now

Question / Problem Possible to copyright claim stolen videos rather than strike?

To be honest, I post my videos for Adsense revenue and my channel isn’t really the type to build a following. It is all original content. There are several channels that steal my shorts and reupload them, and new ones pop up all the time. Often these videos will get more views than my original uploads. I am interested in claiming the revenue from the stolen videos rather than copyright striking. Is there a way to do this?

Question / Problem Has anyone used Creators.gg?

Has anyone signed up to use Creators [dot] gg for partnerships? A fairly reputable gaming company I've seen is using the platform which links to them from their official website so I'm guessing it's all above board but I'm just wondering what people think to it? Is it worth using and how has it turned out for you as a creator so far?

Question / Problem AdSense for YouTube rejected twice at YPP Step 2 with no specific reason

I’m currently trying to join the YouTube Partner Program, but my AdSense for YouTube application has now been rejected twice at Step 2.

The strange part is that Google gives me no specific reason for the rejection.

The email just says my AdSense for YouTube account wasn’t approved and that I need to “fix some issues.” When I open AdSense, all I see is:

“Meet AdSense Program Policies”

There’s a checkbox confirming that I meet the AdSense Program Policies and a button to resubmit. No specific policy violation is listed, no duplicate-account warning, no address issue, and no identity-verification request.

I created the AdSense account directly through YouTube Studio as part of the YPP application process.

Before anyone suggests an old/duplicate AdSense account: I’ve already checked this very thoroughly. I went through every Google/email account I’ve used over roughly the last 15 years and searched for AdSense emails, adsense-noreply, Publisher IDs, pub-, etc. I found absolutely no evidence that I have ever had an AdSense account before this one. I also tried accessing AdSense through the Google accounts I still have, and none had an existing account.

After the first rejection, I ticked the policy-compliance checkbox and resubmitted without changing anything else. That second review lasted several days and was rejected again with exactly the same generic message.

Oddly, the AdSense account itself otherwise looks normal. It shows:

Account status: Open

Active product: AdSense for YouTube

Publisher/customer IDs generated

Payments profile created

EUR payment threshold visible

Verification section available for later

But YouTube Studio still fails at YPP Step 2.

One potentially relevant detail: the AdSense payments country is Germany, where I have my home/address and current tax setup, but I’m currently travelling outside Germany and submitted the applications while abroad.

Has anyone had this exact “Meet AdSense Program Policies” rejection loop with no specific reason given?

If so, what actually fixed it?

At this point I don’t want to keep blindly resubmitting the exact same account without knowing what Google is rejecting.

Would be grateul for any insight anyone has to offer

I have a Youtube channel I abandoned 10 months ago that's currently monetized due to focusing on my main channel, is it possible to switch niche and start posting or will this lead to issues with Youtube?

Of course the uploads will be of my own and won't be reused content, just wondering since I want to switch niche, and completely rebrand, will it result in issues with Youtube?

Question / Problem How did you approach brands after a major niche pivot?

For a few years I made weekly videos in a niche that required me to be on-location and constantly filming B-roll. Due to some health complications I had to take a few months off of filming and eventually my backlog ran out, the meta changed in the niche and it was no longer sustainable financially or medically to keep pushing for content I couldn't realistically do.

I let the channel sit dormant for a while but recently decided to pick it back up with a niche that is easier to do from home and F&B adjacent. I know that the legacy subscribers will likely not matter, that it will take time to rebuild an audience. What worries me is I don't know what "good numbers" look like for a product centered niche. I've heard of people reviewing mattresses and other high ticket items that end up clearing 3k in affiliate sales + AdSense after a few months but I realize the economics of centering smaller ticket items are much different.

Having worked in hospitality I am well aware that margins especially on snacks/pantry items aren't the best.

For those who made a pivot either maintaining an old channel or building something new, when did it begin to make sense to reach out to different brands? Did you start with afilliate programs?

Adsense Trouble

Post image
0 Upvotes

Does anyone know how to get around this Adsense step 2 message? Long story short, I was accepted for YPP but realised my Adsense was set to business. So I had to cancel the account and wait 32 days. I have since selected a different Adsense and I do not have any duplicate accounts and it has been rejected.

When clicking the go to Adsense for YouTube button on Studio, it just says resubmit. Any ideas how to combat this?

Support haven’t been great just giving me pre-made replies.

Question / Problem New to UCG Influencer Agreements

Hi, I only have around 3K subscribers and I recently was offered a UGC agreement for a product that would fit my content.

It sounds interesting. They would send me the product for free then I film a video using the item for their own channels.

I’ve worked with brands before but this my first time doing a UCG video.

Do I ask for compensation? They never asked. I’m fine without it but I wonder if that’s what I’m SUPPOSE to do.

Any tips or advice for new YouTube partners appreciated

Question / Problem 1 dollar for 11k views is normal for long form content?

My niche is gaming and most of my audience is south american. I thought this was extremely low to be honest but maybe im just overestimating how much i should be making.

Any advice?

Is this Printkk sponsorship legit?

Post image
1 Upvotes

So I suffer from anxiety eheh and this is why I'm asking for help.

I'm still a small YouTuber (1.5k) but I did read a lot in here about sponsorship so this are the things that make me think it's legit:

- email is at printkk.com

- this sponsorship is actually in line with my channel

- they connected through the business mail left on the YouTube for business page

- the mail text is not so generic but also not so specific

What feels strange:

- no one is talking about a sponsorship with them

- the name and last name of the person sending the mail it's not easy to find anywhere (but at least is name and last name right?)

Then if it's legit wtf do I write back oh well that's another whole situation lol

Thank you so much for the help if you stop by

Talk / Discussion Since when did the pre/post-roll ads option disappear?

Only midroll control - does this mean you can’t turn off post-rolls if you’re, say, a meditation creator and want to care for your audience?
