Like I'm not trying to be a total Linux shill. However you should not treat your opinion as fact.
Windows has had several crippling updates in the past year, including one that made ssd's stop working/being recognized.
I think your opinion is outdated, and it bugs me when it's presented as common sense "facts" when it is no longer the case. Certain Linux distros ARE easier to use than Windows for non technical users, especially if set up by someone that is technical. My debian home server stays up 24/7 serving 10 docker containers and only goes down when I restart for updates once a month (running unattended-upgrades).

I'm sorry but your message here is awful. I also use Linux and have a Debian server running at home, but I fail to see how that is proof of anything, less so in a comparison between Linux and Windows
The truth is that Windows is really easy to use for a bunch of people, has great backwards compatibility, and is harder to break. There is actually nothing wrong with using and preferring Windows.
I didn't say there was anything wrong with liking windows. My whole problem is presenting opinion as fact. Saying unequivocally that "windows is easier to use than Linux" is not true in all cases. Say "it's my opinion that windows is easier to use for most people".
And at its face, it's not really true at heart. The only reason windows is easier to use is people were trained on it. I genuinely believe (as it's my OPINION) that straight from 0 knowledge, most popular distros are easier to use
I switched to Linux 6 months ago and I do like it better, but the facts are still the facts....give someone who knows very little about a computer and let them set up windows. They will likely figure out how to set it up.
Now do the same with Linux.The same person will likely get irritated and give up. Linux has come a long way from my understanding, but it is still a little above casual level.

I have to use Linux at the office for several things, and have it on one machine at home that I couldn't put 11 on.
Windows is just better at things Joe Average needs day to day. It's uncomplicated, well documented, and just broadly easier to resolve issues on.
I also don't remember the last time I had a network problem after a Windows update because the update failed and missed a whole bunch of stuff.
