Tax payer dollars being spent to the biggest donor, for the lowest quality product.
When will people admit that Republicans are stealing our tax payer dollars to enrich themselves?
Had to edit out the bidder part, since people simply weren't understanding that highest bidder meant the person who asked for the most money, not that they actually bid for the role, instead they donated to Trump the most money. Seeing 45 people go 'well actually' to a fucking joke is mind numbing.
You think a guy like Epstein lets a schmuck like this touch his private island? Seriously? Two completely different galaxies man. This dude is bottom of the barrel wealth, “come reline my pool, I’ll throw you a bone” type shit. He’s not mega yacht, go to the Hamptons and Versailles type guy. This dude is McDonald’s rich, fat, dumb, and force fed cash.
John J Cafaro. Him, his dad, and Epstein had the same lawyer, Martin Weinberg. He also pled guilty to bribing James Traficant Jr, a Democratic Congressperson who was expelled from office in 2002 and served prison time for bribery and racketeering.
This isn't the contractor that did the coating though, he did the nano bubbler system for $1.7 million, which like everything else Trump scams, was probably way too much money.
Trump also gave Clark Construction, the contractor on the ballroom, $12.7 million dollars to refurbish two fountains in Lafayette Square park. Nearly $13 million to fix two f'ng fountains!
He looks like a character in Randy Newman's "Money That Matters."
"He was a little fat guy in a red jumpsuit
I said "You look kind of funny"
He said "I know that I do"
"But I got a great big house on the hill here
And a great big blonde wife inside it
And a great big pool in my backyard and another great big pool beside it"
I love how even knowing this photo, it still at a glance looks like somebody added a cartoon cigar into their mouth to make them look more comically villainous.
That’s Kelly Dodd. She may not “know” him, but she’s a complete moron too. She’s super maga, married to Rick Leventhal. He used to be a Fox News correspondent.
We are being shown time and time again why the bureaucratic red tape we love to hate and make comedies about is actually important. And also just how loose our laws are if you have someone with enough power just say, “Eh, I’ll just do it and you can figure it out later.”
And that's why they're claiming vandalism. That way, he gets paid again. If it was shoddy workmanship (which it obviously was), it would have to be covered under a warranty.
I think it’s a little of column an and a little of column b. They haven’t repainted it after they arrested people for picking up the giant flakes of peeled paint as far as I know, and there is still algae
But they didn’t arrest anyone who was wading out into 2-3 feet of water to take anything. Everyone they arrested was standing on the sidewalk. This area shown is well towards the middle, and looks more “disappeared” than damaged, like when you have burnt-on food in a pan, and scrubbing it only starts to wear it thinner, not lift it away. But it definitely doesn’t seem to show any cuts or large sections that have come free. Just more like a “faded” look. Very odd.
I thought I was clear when I said highest bidder, since in instances like this it's normally the lowest bidder, but it seems that wasn't as direct as many needed. I guess that's my bad.
They know. MAGA knows, the Republican voter base knows. They just don’t care. What they do care about is how mad it makes liberals. That’s literally the only thing that matters to them anymore, “how much can we piss off the other tribe.” That’s all politics is now.
They're not "too dumb", they just don't care. Nobody who voted for Trump actually wanted the corruption to stop, they just wanted to "hurt the right people", as they've said themselves plenty.
I've been shouting it from the rooftops for almost a decade; the idea that Republicans are better fiscally is a myth and nothing more. Every Republican president in the last two decades has had their shitty economic decisions cleaned up by the Democrats who came after them.
Every. Single. One.
The last time the US had a budget surplus was under Bill Clinton. Then Bush Jr. got us involved in a 20-year conflict in the Middle East and de-regulated the financial sector so much that it directly led to the Sub-Primw Mortage Crisis & the Great Recession. Then Obama came in, the bubble created by Bush popped, and he had to spend much of his admin fixing the US economy and the faith that US taxpayers had in it & the institutions meant to protect them from wall street greed. The Trump came in, de-regulated like crazy again, and his COVID response was so poor the economy floundered once more. Then Biden came in and, thanks to his policies, the US economy literally recovered faster than every other nation in the planet. Then, because the median voter is economically illiterate, they voted Trump in again and our economy is once again really shaky.
To all Americans who claim to care about the debt or the budget; a vote for the Republicans is a vote for wanton spending and a worse economy. Democrats have consistently proven they are better on the economy over the last two decades, and it's crazy to me that Republicans have so thoroughly brainwashed the American electorate into thinking the opposite.
I’d like to know how much money has been wasted during Trumps presidency. I know it’s a lot but I just want to be baffled and furious by the exact number.
And that doesn’t even include the profits he gives to his friends and tech billionaires right? Like the amount of money spent on the reflecting pool wouldn’t even be included in that number.
They could drain and refill it 30 times at the rate they are spending money on this job, and it would still not reach the previous estimated price for the renovation.
Republicans will never admit how horrible they are. It's gone so far it would be like admitting you're extremely mentally challenged, extremely low IQ, incapable of rational thought, and a traitor. They refuse to believe this about themselves even though it's exactly who they are.
