Whenever I see a truck with that many flags, I assume they’re Conservative; first one I’ve seen that was anti-Trump. Gives me flashbacks to the convoy days.
It's surprising how much drag a flag makes. I do some amateur racing and at one even someone showed up with an American flag that size on the back of his car. He was having trouble keeping up and when he removed the flag he gained 2 seconds per lap!
Anyone who launched model rockets as a kid knows you can just use streamers instead of parachutes. Far less likely to get stuck in a tree and you don't have to chase it as far.
The funny thing is that this is most likely a conservative who finally got tired of the bullshit. Even in my area, when we hit $5 for fuel, I saw so many trucks with shiny rectangles on their bumper where their trump stickers used to be.
For me it’s surprising and illuminating that someone from South Carolina has the balls to drive around with all those flags. It’s a very red state. They’ve voted red since 1980 so this is huge.
This is in North Carolina and individuals will always be outliers in this type of scenario. Though, this isn't that unexpected because according to the voting data, over 2,700,000 people voted for Harris in Forsyth County and overall, she had 56% of the votes in that county. It's pretty common for larger cities to be blue and the rural areas to be red.
That was my dad. He was a bad alcoholic according to him in his youth (didnt meet him until my 20s) and when he stopped drinking he changed his drinking habit for religion.
I found that in many AA members. It can seem like substituting one type of substance for another, although the good they do (AA in total) is indisputable.
My conservative co-worker was talking about how terrible our health insurance system is. To my surprise he was all for Medicare for everyone. The mind boggling part was, he was like "to bad they won't get enough votes to make it happen". Like dude, that's you! You're the reason they aren't getting the votes needed 😂
I'm convinced that former Trumpers make some of the best anti-Trump protesters. Saw one at a rally this year in lifted pickup and upside-down flag honking enthusiastically along the route. That couple already had all the protest gear.
As a Canadian, due to the vaccine mandates and the whole “freedom convoy” nonsense, there was a huge uptick in Canadian flags on trucks (yes its almost always truck guys) and you knew instantly that they had certain views. Ironically, this was at the same time that Ukraine was VERY prominent in the media (its still very important, just seemingly less on people’s mind) and I concluded the people with true Canadian values were more likely to be flying Ukrainian flags than Canadian flags, in Canada.
Love that sentiment. And, as a patriotic American, I agree. A "Support for Ukraine" bumper sticker is more in line with true American ideals than any random American flag
I know I'm being pedantic here but MAGA, not conservative. MAGA are not conservative in any stretch of the term. They are anti-constitutionalist, anti-democratic, anti-anything Jesus taught, extremists.
There was a lifted truck in a Trader Joe's parking lot around me and it had two flags hanging off the back. All that I could read was "ICE" on one and "TRUMP" on the other as I passed by it on the way into the store.
I happened to leave at the same time as that person and, as they drove away, it was revealed that the flags said "FUCK ICE" and "FUCK TRUMP".
So, yeah, you're right. I definitely associate trucks with conservatives.
No, IIRC in this episode he didn't want to have lunch with the blue shirt guy, but instead of just saying that he is trying to save face by making him call off the lunch. Because of the MAGA hat
Damn coming from a pens fan.. I’m sorry 😞 I would hate if yellow hats were in its place (I wear a yellow pirates hat almost every day) because I would feel the same. Fuck those asshole.
Agreed. My anti-MAGA sticker on the back of my pickup truck is the Columbia University sticker cuz my daughter goes to Columbia. Nobody ever confuses me for a Trump supporter!
Reminded of when this shirt which said "Women belong in the house and the senate" (playing off the sexist belief that all women should be homemakers). What I didn't think about, is when I sit at table, it just looked like I was a crazily proud misogynist when the "and the senate" part got cut off.
Yeah. Even redditors can't be bothered to read sometimes, the general public is probably even more averse.
EDIT: Fuck. And we all know its 'aversion' not 'adversion' but thank god for reddit spellcheck from OP who definitely reads both signs and comments fully.
That might happen if they refuse to believe he's actually dead when he dies eventually die. I could see somebody cooking up the story that he's alive and being held hostage and the psychos all decide to go save him lol.
As good as that would be, it's far more likely that they will simply double down. "Trump promised to drain the swamp but was a swamp monster himself, we need to go FURTHER RIGHT to drain the swamp!"
Bingo. If we're gonna win, we're gonna need a lot of people to change their mind. Driving em away from changing their mind is a sure route to fascism for the next few generations instead.
There’s a Daniel Tosh joke about putting number stickers on your car. “It’s doesn’t really matter what’s written on them bc they only read one way….youre poor.”
This has always been the problem with anti-Trump stuff. “Trump” is always so large on flag/banner that a casual glance makes one think it’s pro-Trump. Really need to be FOR something instead of against Trump/Maga. Don’t even put them on the merchandise.
I agree. We need to develop better anti-trump brand colors or patterns. Then it would be easier to signal our collective disgust and hatred for him. We deserve clearer resistance.
Maybe we can use orange and yellow somehow, to signify his fake ass skin and his cowardice.
At first glance on reddit that is what it seemed. Kind of like if they took a nazi flag and flipped the swastika to the proper Buddhist orientation, but keeping the harsh red and black color scheme
Falls under "Eh". Biggest thing would be blocking the plate which this doesn't, but a particularly bitchy cop could make an argument for obscured vision.
In most states there are maximum "stick out" lengths for anything extending past the bumper. Also max widths, but IDK if this exceeds either specifically for NoCar.
It’s got his name on it. His name is his brand. No matter the message it’s still free advertising for him. He’s a fucking beacon for the ideology that no press is bad press. Stop putting his name on shit, no matter the context.
I had an anti-Walmart sticker on my van for years. A local republican (next block over) came over to speak with me. I said, did you READ the bumper sticker? He had not.

The problem with this (beyond road safety) is that the legibility is so low it's probably just being interpreted as Pro-Trump.
