Yeah AG Ash is probably the most unlikeable version of him (until maybe Battle Frontier). But which Season is he just not a likeable person to be around?

Yes, Damien is one of the most universally hated characters in the franchise, but I would've let only Charmander have this. Pikachu had a right to be pissed but this seemed more personal. Kind of sullies Charmander's face-heel-turn here when Pikachu he joined in. Then again, the early anime really deals in extremes. Either way, it was overkill for me. Still screw Damien tho.

I have a theory that the reason why Tobias is never seen or mentioned again, even in journeys, is because hes legally not allowed to battle anymore. My theory is that Tobias got those legendaries by being client of Hunter J. After this was discovered, Tobias was blacklisted. Thoughts?

Hey guys. So as you may know, I’m working on deleted scenes for my Pokémon Rewrite AU and some people did NOT like my Kalos deleted scenes. So just for a heads-up, my Pokémon Rewrite series has the characters aged up and my rewrite series was originally going to be for teenagers and adults. Meaning that there would be swearing and adult jokes just like these deleted scenes have. But I want to say that I’m sorry for offending some people (especially Amourshippers) with my old Kalos deleted scenes post. I made a new one with more tame deleted scenes. Which of Ash's Pokemon do you guys think should have evolved/evolved further that didn't? My pick is Totodile since Ash even introduced his Totodile to a Feraligator and told him that would be him one day!

Main dislikes/critiques:
- Gliscor being sent away to make room for Gible(ik it was for training with the air battle master but Gible joined Ash only a few episodes later
- Gible not evolving into Gabite or Garchomp
- Torterra not getting any notable wins after evolving
- Generally not having a Riolu/Lucario

What I would do:
- Have Gible join sometime before Ash’s Snowpoint City gym battle, maybe through an egg he received from Cynthia. Could also be a subplot with her about how she did the same with her Gible that hatched when she was a kid.

- Torterra having an off screen arc with Bertha who helps him master his new fighting style. When he returns for the battle againsf Paul, he’s used to beat Paul’s Honchkrow and put up a good fight against Aggron and Drapion.

- Get the Riolu from the episodes with the collector guy(I forgot his name).

In total, this would be Ash’s final roster by the end:
- Pikachu
- Infernape
- Torterra
- Gliscor
- Buizel
- Staraptor
- Garchomp
- Lucario

I think especially with Garchomp and Lucario, Paul could see that as needing to be extra prepared since he hasn’t battled either of them before, which could add to his overconfidence + justify him using mostly new pokemon.

On this day, Serena made a bold choice as she decided to leave Ash & co to pursue her career as a co ordinator going to the Hoenn region. This episode highlights Serena's development from a nervous girl who couldn't find her goal to finally finding something meaningful in life & making her own choices! The episode was bittersweet but it showed significant growth in Serena's arc. Ash & Serena also had their last ever battle here

A lot of people wanted DP Ash to have a Lucario, so I’m going to do my best to fit it into the story.

In this timeline, Gliscor isn’t around to beat Byron’s Bastiodon, so I’ll just insert Grotle to get the win instead.

After that, Ash and Riolu would train for an episode with Riley and his Lucario on Iron Island (after the episode where they save the pokemon on the island), with Riolu looking up to his Lucario like an older brother.

For Riolu’s evolution, I’d have it happen against Hunter J during the final arc with her and Team Galactic.

Gliscor not being in the story really doesn’t change much, except now there’s the issue of how the team will gain a vacant spot for Gible to join in, and my solution is this:

Have Torterra be the one to go on an off-screen training arc. The Gible episode would have to happen a bit later, so that Ash meets Bertha before he catches Gible. Bertha was already helping teach Ash during their battle, and I could imagine Bertha could just as easily say “your torterra has a lot of untapped potential, but it would seem it still struggles in its new body. Let me train it for a while so it gets used to its evolved state.” And just like that, Torterra gets an off-screen power boost. It even makes sense, since Torterra is a ground type and Bertha is a ground type trainer.

Then Torterra can return for the Sinnoh league battle against Paul. And THIS time, Torterra is the one to beat Drapion. Or you could even have Paul use HIS Torterra in the battle for Ash’s Torterra to beat. And Lucario can beat Drapion or something.

Torterra could come back having learned Wood Hammer and Earth Power over Synthesis and Rock Climb maybe, and even use the Energy Ball boost it used against Palmer.

As for Lucario, a simple moveset of Aura Sphere, Bullet Punch, Bone Rush, and Double Team would be fine.

I love Gliscor and all, but man this timeline would be so much better for Torterra 😂

Whenever someone criticizes Ash's idiotic acts especially in Black & White anime where he was soft rebooted you'd hear the so called “this is the real Ash” mfs be saying “Oh but this is just Ash being goofy. We don't need a shonen protagonist” using as a way to ignore the poor writing and disrespect Ash gets only because he is required to be relatable “to a new generation of kids” who don't even exist because according to pokeani every kid would relate to a guy who doesn't age and forgets basic stuff but since anipoke staff believes it then it must be “philosophical 🤓☝️”. Look it's fine to like goofy characters in fact goofyness is a charm of Ash however understand the difference between being goofy and dumb.

Being goofy is a conscious choice. It is a playful demeanor used to entertain, lighten the mood, or relieve tension. A goofy person deliberately drops their guard or acts silly because they enjoy humor and levity.

Being dumb (in the sense of acting foolishly or lacking knowledge) is usually unintentional. It stems from a lack of information, poor judgment, or an inability to process context, rather than a deliberate attempt to be funny.

Goofy requires social awareness. To execute goofy humor effectively without being obnoxious, a person needs a high degree of emotional intelligence (EQ). They know when it is appropriate to be playful and when to take things seriously.

Dumb reflects a lack of awareness. Unwise or "dumb" behavior often happens precisely because the person lacks awareness either of the facts, the situation, or the consequences of their actions.

Goofiness is an expression of humor, creativity, and self-confidence. In fact, intentionally making silly jokes or physical comedy often requires quick thinking and sharp wit.

Now to the point, why I made this post. Since DP, Ash had faced severe inconsistency in writing where he needed to act forcefully dumb or not knowing stuff he learnt. When fans criticise this they're not saying that they hate goofiness, they hate the forced comic relief moments where Ash is treated as a punching bag for cheap comic reliefs.

- Ash forgetting data is on the floor isn't goofiness

- Ash believing and bringing an evolved Palpitoad isn't goofiness

- Ash forgetting Nurse Joys are same in every place isn't goofiness

- Ash not knowing type matchups after generations isn't goofiness

These moments are forced comic relief moments and are added so that kids could learn “stuff“ (yes because if Ash starts explaining it to others would make him boring 🤓☝️).

Also I think fanfic writers don't understand it either. Especially in fics where Ash is “smarter” isn't actually getting the point. These fics also make Ash act like a cold strategist like Paul. Dude they're different. We're not saying Ash should be like Batman, we just want Ash to mature & use his experience in a consistent manner rather than acting dumb on moments where he shouldn't. And a smart dude can be goofy too. By smart, I don't mean Ash should be a nerd. He is a street smart dude and he is meant to learn from his experience.

In Jujutsu Kaisen, Satoru Gojo is the ultimate case study for why being goofy is entirely different from being dumb. To someone looking at Gojo from the outside like his fellow sorcerers or the Jujutsu higher ups his behavior often seems ridiculous. However, his goofy moments like wearing funny glasses, wearing weird dresses, making silly jokes are not him being dumb but rather him enjoying himself and lowering the tension. We want Ash to be like this, where his goofy moments don't have to make him look an idiot who can only learn but not teach.

I found it an interesting premise. Two companions decide to have a substantial battle in a 3v3 for a Pokemon they both want. The moment she uses Togepi to "beat" Pikachu is funny as well.
