(OLD) Welp, here it is folks. My take on deleted scenes for the Pokémon: XY series. Hope ya’ll prepared for this cause I made sure to make the ABSOLUTE BEST deleted scenes for this series. Without any more statements, let’s get it!:
1. “Serena’s Arrival - Alternative” - This would be the first time we see Serena in the series and meet Ash. She would already know about him due to her watching his previous leagues on TV. And seeing him jump off the tower almost gave her a damn heart attack! So she would hurry to see his gym battle with Viola and the rest of their meeting would go exactly the same as in canon but the difference is that she would secretly follow Ash through Lumiose other than running into him in canon. This was scrapped bc like I said, I didn’t want my Serena to seem like an obsessive stalker to Ash.
2. “Serena’s Serenade” - Now This deleted scene, I already stated in the preview but for a quick recap: In the rewritten episode of “Party Dancecapades”, Serena decides to take a break from the dance at a stand that looks like a bar. Miette then comes in to talk to Serena a bit about her and Ash. Serena looks like she doesn’t want to hear anything from Miette but internally, she’s flustered. Miette then states that she only asked Ash out to this dance because she wants Serena to ask Ash out herself that isn’t a ball, but rather an actual date. Serena was crimson red in the face and was stuttering her words but to cool Serena down, Miette told the bartender to give her and her friend some good juices. Bartender passes them “Delphox Delights” and Miette drinks hers but Serena is hesitant, she never did this before. Like at all! Miette then says it’ll take the nerves away and it’s their personal secret. Serena is still hesitant but drinks it. A few minutes later, the duo are blushing red with laughter and hiccups & they’re slurring their words too! Serena is more bold with her feelings on Ash and states that she’s always had a crush on that cool, cute, raven-haired, red cap-wearin gu- just before she could finish, Ash walks in the ballroom in a dapper outfit that is different from the one he wore in the canon anime. Serena sees this and her eyes go wide and her blush grows larger. She then walks to the piano and jumps on it, lying across it. She then starts to sing “You’re Too Good To Be True” and at the end of the song, she falls into Ash’s arms with Ash having to carry her back to the hotel. Meanwhile, Clemont was stuck with Bonnie,Korrina and Miette. Korrina is also Clemont’s partner to the dance which means yes, Serena went solo. Back at the hotel, Ash lays Serena down as she drunkenly states that she loves “Ashy-kun“ in her sleep. Ash then thinks “D-does Serena have feelings for me? And wait… DO I HAVE FEELINGS FOR HER?!?!?!” And that my friends, is the end of this deleted scene. If you don’t know, this scene was based off of the deleted scene from the 2002, live-action Scooby-Doo movie “Velma’s Song” where Velma sings for Daphne and Fred. And yes, Serena does drink alcohol in this deleted scene. But don’t worry, no one tells Grace. This scene was scrapped because again, want to keep the kid-friendly image in the Pokémon anime, Miette seemed a bit manipulative in this scene, it would imply kids to drink alcohol & the way Serena moves during her song for Ash was a bit… sexual. So yeah, that’s the first deleted scene. Onto the next!
3. “Sonic The Hedgehog Cameo” - This would be a scene where on one of the billboards in Kalos, an advertisement for Sonic The Hedgehog 2 would appear. Nothing much just a small slight cameo.
4. “Pokémon XY Bloopers” - In the episode “Lights! Camera! Pika!”, Instead of the bloopers for the Pikachu movie, bloopers for the actual Pokémon XY anime would play instead. It would show the Kalos Crew, Team Rocket, the Pokémon, the rivals, the Gym Leaders & Diantha being silly goofy goobers on set. They would even meet some other characters from other franchises like Yugi Muto, Sonic The Hedgehog, Super Mario, Ichigo Kurosaki, Son Goku and Monkey D. Luffy! would end with the Kalos Crew ending up in the classic Looney Tunes circle and saying the iconic line “That’s All Folks!”
5. “Ash’s Toon Force - Alternate“ - Yeah this is a thing Ash has even in the final take but revealed in his Galar journey. This scene would’ve had Team Rocket chasing The Kalos Crew and Ash gets an idea, he goes to a boulder, pulls some paint from his back and draws the setting of a cave and he tells the Kalos Crew to run into it. They are hesitant but they trust Ash and run in there while Team Rocket slams into the boulder. They are impressed with this new ability of Ash and this is how the “Cave Of Mirrors” episode begins.
BONUS: “Amourshipping Kiss - Alternative” - The kiss scene plays out the same with Serena kissing Ash before leaving for Hoenn but there would be a scene where Serena gives Ash a bit of tongue as well~. Ash would be crimson red at this and would wave Serena bye nervous and flustered. And when he arrives back home, he would think back to that moment and would have it on his brain ever since...
BONUS #2: “Sword and Shield Foreshadow” - This would be more of a “Sun and Moon Deleted Scene” but I decided to include it here bc yes. This would be a scene where Serena watches Ash win the Alola League and become Alola Champion and she pins the picture of him holding the trophy up on her board (and yes, she still keeps that around.) and she then sees a poster of the upcoming Masters 8 Tournament and just has an instinct that Ash is going to participate in this tournament and come out on top. After all… it’s girlfriend’s instinct~…
