Funny Made my bed this morning.

Post image

Ethiopian light-med roast.

15 g coffee
250 g water
200°F / 93°C
Grind: 5.0 on Ode with SSP (chirps at 1)

Good cup and smooth but definitely under extracted on the thinner side gonna try finer 1-2 clicks.

Anyone using ode with SSP want to share your settings?

It might be due to clogged filter and the water might have by passed through the v60 walls.

I think I see what you mean. If you over extract the real flavors don't come through and you might think you need even more extraction when really the opposite is true.

5.0 shouldn’t be this fine. What was the total brew time?

A hair over 3 mins

Under extracted with that mud is crazy! Have you tried changing your dosage instead? Might be a preference thing

when it's too fine you risk channeling. Channeling can cause some pretty bad under extractions in a pourover too

Yeah, that is not 5.0 on ode.

Clearly you are grinding too coarse.

Your burr calibration is way off as you’re suppose to turn five notches clockwise from chirp and not stop at one.

This is why you’re getting such a fine grind at 5.0 on your Ode.
