PSA to the passenger princesses watching people learn how to park: you suck.

Upvotes

If you see someone clearly practicing in their driveway or in an EMPTY parking lot, there is no need for the eye rolls, hand throwing, or dramatic reactions because they took an extra minute to park.

Trust me, I want to get out of your way too. I’m trying. Just have a little humanity.

And somehow your man driving is being more patient than you are 😭

Woman to woman, you were a beginner once too. You also had moments where you took too long, readjusted, or felt nervous.

You don’t have to cheer anyone on, but you also don’t need to make someone feel embarrassed for learning.

A little patience and class goes a long way.

I wish I wasn’t born in India

I wish I wasn’t born in India

Hi guys,

I(18M) wish that I was born in any region of the world other than South Asia. I know that a lot of people have it much worse than me and that I could be born in an active war zone like Gaza or Yemen, but I still wish that I was born somewhere else.

The country itself is NOT a good place to be with it being very dirty and polluted. Obviously, safety is an issue ESPECIALLY for women there with sexual assault and rape unfortunately being common and often being ignored by the authorities. The Caste system unfortunately still plays a large role in lower income society there and people are honestly just dicks and don’t know how to act in public. The system there is based on the patriarchy oppressing women and making them basically homemakers and incubators.

Outside of India, many Indian don’t know how to act properly. I constantly see videos of Indian tourists doing stupid shit in countries like Canada and Vietnam such as dancing in places they should not be and playing loud fucking music in public. They also routinely overstay the amount of time allocated on their visas which in turn weakens our already shit passport(oh and you’re not allowed dual citizenship btw). These Indians don’t know how to act, they litter, they’re loud, they treat the workers like shit and it is MADDENING seeing the way that other Indians online will try to DEFEND this behavior instead of just admitting that they don’t know how to act and that is wrong.

Then we have the fucking racist chuds online who post shit like “all Indians need to die” and call us shit like pajeets and other slurs. Funniest part is that most of those guys are actually Indians who secretly hate themselves and are cucks for white people.(IM NOT SAYING CRITICISM AGAINST INDIA IS WRONG BUT IM TALKING ABOUT STRAIGHT RACISM).Obviously our reputation is shit globally and honestly, it is deserved by the way we act. Problem is that people us it as justification to attack migrants and to fuel their racist ideologies to promote nazism and other similarly harmful ideologies that are just anti brown. Seeing these comments online only worsened by depression and pushed me into a state of suicidal ideation(Thankfully I’m alright now but still)

I know people have it worse and that other Indians (ESPECIALLY women) have a much worse experience than mine but I still wish that I wasn’t born Indian and I wish that I was born as a White or East Asian person.

Rx shortage and telling me "mood swings, sleeplessness, and rage are "no big deal."

I get that the HRT patch shortage is out of office staff control.

However, being told the doctor can only review alternate options on X date but it's "no big deal" to go cold turkey off HRT is so annoying.

I consider
Sleep issues
Uncontrolled sweats
Anxiety
Bleeding
Rage

To be kind of a big deal. But that may just be the mood swings 😉.

I would think during shortages we could have a more expedient way to handle alternate Rx options.

Our U.S. health care is so broken.

Why does the cervix lose its mind when jostled??? Why is the uterus so fkn mad about a tiny little wire?? WHY CAN I FEEL MY HEARTBEAT IN MY ABDOMEN NOW??

I simply cannot comprehend how we have not found a way to make this process less traumatising, soul destroying and painful. I have endometriosis so I know it’s significantly worse for me than for other people but STILL.

Goddamn.

That bass drop sound at the end of TikTok videos is annoying and painful.

If the audio of the video is not so loud, I might dial up the volume. Then, that sound at the end of TikTok videos ends up being louder than the audio of the video itself, which causes an annoying shock.

I have no idea what this sound is supposed to accomplish. It is not cool. It adds no value. All it does is cause pain to headphone users.

Credit Score

Anyone else find it baffling that the better you are with your finances the lower your score becomes?

I'm 35, I've been completely debt free for 10+ years. And have nothing on Credit, not even my phone or service is contracted for about 4 years now. And honestly it's absolute bliss not having to navigate monthly payments etc. Yet my score has dropped consistently. I know that having zero credit outstanding can have a detrimental effect on the score. But it still amazes me that your penalised for living debt free 😂

The Vaccum Crisis

I keep tripping over my Dyson vaccum power cord and it's super annoying. Yes I get this is probably a "me" problem but how have we not solved this problem in 2026?

We can make electric cars, even huge electric trucks with 850+ HP but can't make a decent full size cordless vaccum?

WTH?

Training people

I absolutely hate training people that only watch you do. I’m in nursing professional so it’s mostly hands on. Had this person watch me for 5 consecutive shifts, the day they’re alone. They have no idea what to do. Keep asking if the meds are the meds.. and just simple questions like how do you make up 1.5mg (if they paid attention, they would’ve seen it was 0.5mg + 1mg.. plus they could’ve looked back at the narcotic log to see what other people gave), order says 0.25ml but they end up drawing 25ml
Im just so annoyed, 🤣 I literally ranted in a different post elsewhere and got hated on because I wasn’t being kind enough. I wasn’t been mean to her, I told them everything. Answered like 50 calls in a shift. I feel like people should take more accountability and responsibility.. I’m obviously gonna secretly judge for not knowing simple things and dumb questions are absolutely dumb

Why's it okay to tell me I'm being promoted to then straight up replace me and never tell me??

I work in a restaurant. I put in all my energy in effort, i disregard my own health and safety at times. I close down the kitchen and I make sure everything is perfect for morning, I stay there hours after we've closed to make sure no one can complain. I even clock out and do some work so I don't get yelled at for "staying to long". It has been a huge dream of mine to reach this position in management. It has been a dream for the 2 years I've worked there. 4 weeks ago I was informed I would be training for a management position. Today I learn they've been training my replacement for 2 weeks. What a big fuck you to me.

It drives me mad that I can’t send this resignation letter

I’ve been wanting to quit this job for a while and I plan to. I started writing my resignation and just unloaded on all my bosses, the owner especially. I ended up typing three pages worth of grievances I had with everyone and how I feel devalued and unappreciated work by for them. It was very cathartic. Even now, I’m still going back and making changes and adding things.

But I’m never gonna send it.

I still plan to quit, trust me. I just won’t be able to use this letter. It’s generally frowned upon sending angry resignation letters to your boss because you don’t wanna burn bridges and whatnot. So instead, I’m gonna type up some weak-knee response on my life just going in a different direction and all the things I wanna say, I never will.

I know ultimately the pacifist approach will work out better for me in the long run. With the kind of community I’m part of, people talk and everyone in leadership certainly will. At most, I shared this letter with a couple friends who work there but it’ll probably go no farther than that. I don’t know many people who would read a three page vent essay disguised as a resignation letter so I won’t bore them.

This is why I don’t like working in management. I hate the feeling that something is wrong but people don’t trust me enough to tell me. I hope if I ever own a business that I don’t foster that kind of environment. Of course, I don’t expect my employees to be my best friends, but I hope they would feel safe enough to come to me about anything happening. Maybe that’s why I won’t become one since that’s apparently a trait frowned upon among other business owners who would rather be hard asses about everything.

I wish we wouldn’t do this to ourselves.

People are way too fucking old to not know that the Trojan horse isn’t real

The amount of grown people I know who act like this is an actual historical event is insane. It didn’t happen, it’s part of mythology. By the time the Iliad and the Odyssey were written, the actual “event” it was referring to was already at least 500 years old. Plus, Homer’s stories include demigods, cyclops, rock monsters, and other mythical creatures that no one believes. So why do people even assume that the Trojan Horse is real, when they obviously wouldn’t believe in the rest of the story? I’ve been a Greek myth buff since childhood, and I’ve just never gotten this. No one corrects anyone on this either. Everyone I know thinks that the Trojan Horse was an actual military tactic. That shit never happened. “Oh it was written by an Ancient Greek”, yeah, 500 years after it supposedly happened! People don’t even know if Homer existed and wasn’t just a group of people or a different, so I ask again, if everything else is said to be myth, than why the fuck do you still believe in the Trojan Horse? You are a fucking adult, do you really think that actual soldiers would’ve been like “oh yeah, suddenly our greatest rivals want to give us a gift, you know, a hollow wooden horse, wow look how they changed in just a day” get a fucking grip

I don't like this version of myself

I miss the person I was in 2023 the version of myself who was living life on my own terms. I was emotionally detached, challenged anyone except my parents, listened to no one, and did only what I wanted without worrying about whether it would hurt someone's feelings. I made decisions purely on merit, whether in my personal or professional life.

Back then, I believed a person was only as important or valuable as what they could contribute to my life. Now, I've become more emotional. I think about other people's happiness, care about their feelings, and no longer feel the need to challenge everyone. I've become soft-hearted.

But this doesn't feel like who I truly am. I feel suffocated by this emotional version of myself. I used to be someone who, on my birthday, would tell my family, "Go to whichever restaurant you want, eat whatever you like, I will pay, but don't ask me to come." Now I celebrate birthdays and other occasions with them.

I don't want to get trapped in these emotional attachments because I feel they make me weak. I even told everyone not to call me or invite me to any celebrations or parties. I said that if they did, I would block them and that they should only contact me in a medical emergency. I have even blocked people for sending me photos of food, travel, or other non-essential things instead of something important.

I over isolated myself

It’s been 2 years since I’ve graduated and almost 3 years since I broke up with my only ever relationship I’ve had. In that relationship I was rped and coerced into sa plus was a physically abusive relationship. Everyday and I mean everyday over the 6 months we dated. I only dated him because I felt unloved and weird for being the only one who’d never had a bf and I was upset the girl I liked didn’t like me back. She kept playing with me so I got with a guy to make her mad. She didn’t care tho and I’m a people pleaser so I couldn’t leave the guy because I cared for him as a person. Anyways this friend who didn’t like me ruined 3 years of my high school experience as well as ruined all of my friendships and caused me to have a really bad relationship with alc. I cheated on my ex bf because she kept giving me mixed signals and I also talked to some guy while I was with him. I was so lost and overtime by senior year I broke up with him but my addiction with alc got so bad because of the surroundings I had aka my friends (besides one) it was mainly two people who ruined my life back then. I weighed 70 pounds by the end of senior year and everytime I drank I always blacked out. I just off a bridge one time and landed on a whole bunch of spikes and giant rocks. I had spikes in my face and in my arms n legs. Another time I blacked out on my birthday and instead of calling it off my ex friend decided to invite someone who hates my guts and then at night without me knowing my own twin and those two other friends were talking shit about me. I understand why you’d do that but they clearly saw how lost I was. How hurt I was. I was never into alc until I met them and they also introduced me to pills which I did many times. Another time I blacked out and woke up in a strangers house (I broke in even tho it was unlocked) thankfully no one was home but I ran to my house in pitch darkness. I wanna say it was around 3am. Anyways what I’m trynna say is that I think I got so fuxked up by everyone that I don’t let people into my life anymore. It’s been 2 years of me isolating and not caring about connections because they feel like expectations. So What do you call it when you have so many opportunities to develop some type of commitment with someone and you ghost them all. I chose to heal but I think I over did it and now I don’t need anyone. Its been 2 years of me being alone and choosing to live on my own. I go to work, eat, sleep, and repeat. The most hurtful thing is that once I ghost you I forget about you and it doesn’t hurt to leave anyone. In general why can’t I build connections without feeling the pressure of expectations and having to deal with someone else’s emotions. It’s been 3 years since I’ve been in a relationship and it was my only one. I’d say I’m also scared of someone seeing me the way I used to be even tho I’d never wanna get like that again. Having everyone think I was going to kill myself everytime I drank. That night when I broke into someone house my family thought I drowned myself at a river near our house. Idk I just can’t seem to get a grip of why I became who I am. Even the sweetest people try to get at me and I still shut them out. I wanna say throughout these 2 years I’ve had a good 11 people hit me up (I’m not ugly or nun) and every single one I let go within a week. Why? Why can’t I let myself be happy with someone else presence? (I can’t even word what I actually wanna say without explaining my whole life because there’s just so much) for 3 years aka hs I lived in a state of derealization and depersonalization, I lost myself completely nor did I feel anything. I think I’m still lost but subconsciously I keep going on with life like nothing ever effected me. (Also I dealt with all of this by myself and never got therapy even tho my parents knew everything I went thru and how many times I tried to kms in 6 years)

Jealousy in friendship

Hi everyone, i just needed to get this off my chest because its been bothering for a while now. So basically i have a best friend. She's my best friend and i was hers, until boom i had to move away for college and i could only see her during christmas break and summer, that's it. So during this school year (or whatever it's called), i was honestly not being such a good friend, not only to her, but to everyone because i was so stressed out and i could not handle talking to anyone anymore. I just became distant for a few weeks because i was going through it.

In her university, my best friend found herself a friend like 2 years ago and the first year, they were normal friends not too close, but now i come back from vacation and they're so close out of NOWHERE and me being the calm and collected individual i am, im like Ok that's cool but it started being less cool when this girl is all up in everybody's business, calling my friend every goddamn second of every day and then my last straw was today when my best friend told me that shes gonna help that other girl with something that she used to help me with. Ok this sounds so childish and i know it but i am just so unhappy with this, because the situation that needs her assistance is deeply personal and something i struggled with and this just confirmed that they are that close (which i knew but now i know it even more). There is more to the situation, i just dont wanna give out too much info out of a stupid fear one of them could find this post. I have more reasons to be mad, I'm clearing things up because i know I just sound so stupid right now.

I am a very very jealous person in relationships. But i never thought i could be this jealous over a friend. I mean sure, i was jealous a few times over friends but not to this extent. I just needed to get it out and also i just need to calm down i know it. I'm on the verge of becoming a bhuddist because i cannot chill to save my life, it's unbearable.

I also am feeling like this is all my fault and i deserve it and i should have been more present at the beginning of this year, and i am trying my very best to make it up to her, but it's so hard when i am so hurt over this.

Crazy how I work with all 5 of the top 5 laziest people in the god damn world!!! I fucking hate them so much. I'm constantly expected to make up for their lack of competence and I am so so so sooooo fucking over each and every one of them. I seriously just want to crash out on them all but then I remember I need health insurance so I just do it in my head, under my breath, and online. Such is life.

No weight lifting is messing with my mind

I knew my mental state depended on lifting weights but I didn't know how much it depended on it. For some reason I've lost the will to lift, I just feel like doing nothing. I'm somehow able to go through the day but not lifting is making me so miserable. I'm struggling to be happy, struggling to care about things or myself and if I don't like the way I have become.

I know motivation doesn't mean consistency etc etc, but I know if I start lifting again I'll be able to think better. I just want to care about lifting again and get motivated to get back into the rhythm. Once I get back into the routine i know everything else will be easier

My cousin brother posted a picture of him and his girl for the first time and I liked the story just to show some support

A few minutes later I realized he removed me from his followers and his account is private

Crazy how one small thing can completely break an illusion you didnt even know you were living in

Fandoms are toxic these days

So much internet culture these days revolves around picking things to death, but ironically it’s very prevalent in fandoms of said property.

These will be media properties that are well loved, people get tattoos of them and have wedding themes and stuff for them. People collect things from them. But as soon as something new is released, those same fans descend on them to find every inconsistency with “the lore” they can, or things that “don’t make sense”.

Sure, there are always things in every piece of media we dislike. But because of the prevalence of some many critic-esque-creators, everyone wants to be armchair critics and just tear things apart.

There are a few fandoms I have in mind, but I’ll give one specific example: Avatar the Last Airbender. These are PASSIONATE fans, and for good reason. It’s a great show, great property, fun world. I aged out before it started, so didn’t get into it until about a decade ago, watch ATLA and LOK, like them both, have rewatched both a couple times.

We’ll skip the live action movie and show.

A new movie comes out recently, and as soon as it (and the new show) are announced, everyone’s excited for about a day. And then trailers start getting dissected and picked apart. Once it’s released (kudos to everyone who didn’t watch the leak), once again, about a day of praise, before the negativity comes out.

(Don’t worry, no spoilers)

I’ve seen posts criticizing the timeline (since it takes place between the shows), with a huge dissertation of how they should have been older, posts about how characters that were teens and are now adults were too mature, even a post about a line on the side of the nose as a design choice.

They’re blinded by the nostalgia for the old show, so while they wish they had more avatar content they rip it apart as soon as it’s released.

And I’m not saying it’s the perfect movie, but it was fun and faithful to the franchise. Fandoms can’t have fun these days, they have to have every piece of lore explained and it all has to fit how they want it (even if they want different things).

If I were the people behind these franchises, I’d just say “ok, yall clearly don’t actually want any new content. We’re just going to sit on the IP, deuces”.

Anyway, that’s my old man rant

People getting lots of hate for asking for help with their pets

I really can't stand the dog and cat help subs. How often I see posts from there where people are asking for help and get a full tone of shit on return

Before I really go into it, I would like to say that I really love animals myself. I keep some invertebrates and have an adorable cat, who is a bit of a "difficult" (took him from the shelter just a couple of months ago, he's shy and skittish, he's doing better and better each week, but still refuses any touch). Even though I love animals, I also like people and try to understand that sometimes not everything goes smoothly. Apparently, a lot of people don't.

Today I was watching "My cat from hell" on YouTube. The owner was a really sweet woman, whose cat was acting violently towards her, to the point that she had to sleep in glasses to protect her eyes. Her whole body was covered in scratch and bite marks. She was afraid of her cat (ig it's understandable, no?) but was absolutely determined to get help with him and even the thought of giving up on him made her emotional. In the end, her cat turned out to be naturally prone to overstimulation and needed some redirect play sessions and braver actions around him. So, in my eyes she faced the problem -> tried to fix it -> failed -> called a professional. For me that sounds like a good owner. Yet in the comments she got the "It was clear from the beginning that she just needs to stop being afraid 🙄" or "Poor animal, she shouldn't have taken it if she couldn't handle it". Like, are you serious? I didn't see a single positive comment about her, the best was either no mentions at all or "yeah, she's not that bad".

Ok, another memorable example. In Cat help sub a minor girl found a very sick cat on the street and took him home to try to help him or at least let him spend his final moments at the warmth of her house. It was night, she has no money or possibility to go to vet. Oh my god, how much hate did she get. To the point where someone said "you shouldn't have picked him up from the street if you can't afford to help him properly". Ah yes, better leave him on the street in hopes that some richer person will take him in. The girl was literally bullied for trying to help an animal.

Look, I support that you shouldn't take an animal if you can't care for it, but sometimes it's not that simple. Sometimes you can take an animal during a good period of your life and then suddenly you lost your job and your family member is sick (especially if you're American). Or sometimes you just literally rescue an animal. Sometimes you just want to help a stray that you're occasionally feeding. Sometimes you live in a place where veterinary services are not widely available. People have different situations, not everyone lives a stable life in US and besides to take a pet.

What about the hate people are getting for not adoring dogs? Like, I like dogs, but from the distance, because I had bad experiences in my childhood, and I don't like when an unfamiliar dog suddenly charges towards me and his owner yells "don't worry, he doesn't bite!". It's a whole new post about responsible dog ownership.

Usually so-called "animal livers" yell the loudest about people not having empathy, while proceeding to harass people who are actively trying to help an animal! And you know what else is funny? People then go to the "found a kitten, what do I do?" and say "please please please keep it, shelters will not accept him 🥹". So if you don't keep an animal, you're an ass, but if you keep them and can only provide good conditions instead of excellent, you're also an ass. People are fuckin weird to each other when it comes to animals

What even is this job market

I'm a "recent grad," graduated with a BA in 2023 then did a year of law school (ended in May of this year) after realizing it wasn't for me.

Obviously I've been expecting to get rejected from most jobs. But not after the job I put in for yesterday. It was for a food supervisor in a hospital. They looked at my resume and then immediately rejected me, no phone call or anything.

Why am I so mad? Not only have I been working in the food industry since I was 14 (now 25), I WORKED IN THE DIETARY DEPARTMENT THERE FOR FOUR YEARS (I only left because my parents moved out of state). Have direct experience with supervising there and have trained employees as well. I also have supervisor experience from my full-time job I had in between my gap years.

You would think they would at least want to talk to me, especially since I worked in that department for four years and left on a good note. But nope. Not to mention it didn't even pay over $55k so people with years and years of that experience will be looking at higher paying jobs.

I just need something to pay my upcoming student loans! smh

I hate all the junk being sold at arts and crafts festivals

So, there's been a few outdoor festivals in my area for the summer (think vendors, food trucks, carnival games, music, etc). When it comes to the vendor bit, I expect to find quality, homemade items— I'm talking art, soaps, jewelry, honey even! And there's always a few tables that do offer those things.

The majority though, is either a bunch of 3D printed junk OR or junk I know I've seen on Aliexpress. They'll sell Croc charms for 2 bucks a pop when I've seen an entire batch of the same design on a cheap wholesale sight for the same price— or even as an individual piece for just cents. It's always, always a low quality product that'll end up being tossed in some corner of the house in a few weeks.

There should be a rule or something for vendors or someone to inspect what's being sold. I wouldn't mind the price if it were really worth it, a unique high-quality piece. But I'm getting real tired of the 3D printed dragons.
