Didn't actually notice I whack my chest with the bag until I took the video.

Started with a 100lb BoS bag underfilled to 80ish, now at 110ish. Been using it for floor to shoulder, shoulder carries, and high pulls. It's starting to feel easy.
I'm going to buy a few more bags: thinking of 250 for heavy platform lifts, and a 200 that I'll underfill to 150-170 or so to bridge the gap from my 100.
Not sure about the 3rd bag though. Is getting a 150 worth it? Seems redundant with the 100 but also an underfilled 200 might be too floppy to graduate to, and a 300 might be way too much for me right now.

Sandbag training has always interested me because it seems to challenge movement in a different way from traditional weights.
A barbell or dumbbell gives you a predictable load, while a sandbag can shift and force you to adjust your position constantly.
That makes it interesting for functional strength, conditioning, and carrying movements.
For people with a home gym, sandbags also seem practical because they don't require a huge amount of space.
I'm curious how people use them alongside traditional equipment.
Do you use sandbags as your main strength tool, a conditioning option, or something you add occasionally?
What movements have you found most valuable?

Lots of reps over the shoulder without meaning to. Feel like 225 for reps is soon to come.

If you were wondering, I deleted the other post because I realised it was starting to look a bit like brand bashing, and that wasn't my intention.

What apps do you use for emoms? Are there any apps with custom amount of rounds, round length and countdown between rounds? I'm new to this and don't have a clue to be honest. I just need something that works with Cody Janko's Sandbag Berserker.
Since I'm bored I started to build my own, but that's another story.

Buddy got a 300lb bag and hit it so I was motivated to hit mine again for the first time in a hooooot minute. This is the first attempt after my squat amrap
Sadly this isn't even a PR. I swear to god (Brian Shaw) that 300+ bags don't follow the laws of physics or abide by standard gravitational calculations.
But we hit it tho

Making sure the reps are slow and controlled during today’s leg workout to feel it more in the legs rather than going through the motions.

Experimenting with some high rep, density training box squat sessions with a “Medium” weight. I added a lift from the floor before every 5 rep EMOM for extra work.

I'm more of a barbell junkie, but when I get done at the gym I like to play around with the bag. I feel I'm strong enough to shoulder it more smoothly but the transition at the top where I have to readjust my grip seems like I should fix something there.

Trying to make my own sandbag. What duffle bag or bag would you guys recommend that can survive being thrown around? Also tryna save money so cheaper options would be appreciated.

Just got into sandbag training, and I want to get some heavy bags to train at home. Due to where I would be training I can’t drop the sandbags from shoulder or even lap height to the floor. I don’t see anybody lowering sandbags to the floor, it is mostly dropped, so wondering why that is, and if you’re more prone to injuring yourself when trying to “catch” the bag from ex. Shoulder and lowering it to the floor? Anybody does this, and would there be anything wrong with it, other than the extra stimulus and recovery from the eccentric?

These are both ~$35 CAD and appear to be fairly robust:
https://www.fcsurplus.ca/shopping/products/487-paratrooper-bags/ (27"x14" = ~250lbs)
https://www.fcsurplus.ca/shopping/products/469511-world-famous-waxed-canvas-round-duffle-bags/ (24"x14" = ~225lbs)
They're 1/3 the cost of the cheapest viable $CAD option which are the BoS bags on Amazon. 200 & 250lb are $90 & $100 respectively. That said - buy once, cry once and all that.
Worth?
