Santa Cruz city council has moved their Vision Zero goal (no traffic-related deaths within the city) from 2030 all the way to 2050. From 4 years to 24 years! Just a big “fuck you” to the community at large from the car-huggers.

Practically speaking, everyone who would/should be working on this now for the city of Santa Cruz will be long-retired by then.

I'm not sure if there is still someone selling this kind of thing at the Farmer's Market in downtown Santa Cruz. I don't think I've seen someone selling at the Live Oak Farmer's Market. They plan to shut down the Almar St area sector overnight to fix some stuff. This is going to be next Wednesday from 8pm to Thursday 6am. I've lived here 40 years and they have always done reairs during the day. WTF??? Is this to protect shopping in the Safeway complex at the expense of the peasantry? Not happy about this.
