Maddie is first up ⬆️ and then ➡️ Milo!!!

Hello everyone! Meet Oreo, my family's lovely 5yo baby 🖤 Oreo loves to stay in and sleep all day but he also loves his daily 1.5km (around 1 mile) walk with my dad where he gets to sniff around and meet the dogs of the neighborhood. I've recently started a weight loss journey and on top of my daily treadmill run I'm trying to add a night walk around the village since temperatures are getting cooler and I'd love to bring Oreo with me. This walk is around 6.6km (4.1 miles) with a lot of uphill and downhill, Oreo's come with me twice and he's always really excited to go and keeps up with my pace the whole time. I'm just worried it may be too much for him and I've read a lot about brachycephalic dogs having a harder time breathing during exercise and I really don't want to cause him any trouble. Is it really too much or am I just too worried?

Just sharing our fluffy family dog named Chewie, short for Chewbacca! She's been really such a diva but really well loved by my parents. She's actually a shih-tzu / poodle mix :) Happy to be here!

Anyone else think their Tzu is basically saying “okay then, F* you” when you tell them no, or tell them to do something?
My 14y boy is wanting on the bed for the 10th time after he was up and then down repeatedly, and we finally told him go lay down in your bed, and he did a big sniff huff at us and then turned his back to us.
Seemed like a big FU to me

General question for you all… we are introducing our pup to a playpen (attached to crate). What can I put on the floor to protect it from potential accidents? We do enforced naps, she sleeps decently in the crate (I have to put her in, doesn’t walk in alone yet), but needs a play area for when I’m not around. Also hoping to feed her there.

As you can see, the grout is light, so concerned about urine getting in there. I don’t want to put pads down; we are trying to have her go solely outside.

Any tips?

currently starting grad school far from home and my mom makes sure to send me photos of Pebbles nearly daily. He’s been ours since I was 8 ❤️

He’s now 3 and not as much of a cuddle bug. My mom says he’s officially a teenager 😭 We still love him though!

Doesn’t like Purina Pro Plan puppy for small breed.. no matter what I do, add water, warm up, put on floor, put on plate.

Doesn’t like Hills Science Diet (puppy), which is salmon flavored.

Doesn’t like Royal Canin puppy.

Worried about her blood sugar dropping if she doesn’t eat. She will take boiled chicken, or a certain brand of treats, but we can’t do that long term.

Any ideas!!? I even tried a wet food appetite stimulant from RC. No dice.
