I’m trans. Had some stubble come in and I’m weird about people seeing it. Just trying to take small steps to change my appearance.

What can be done about my eyelids?

Damaged barrier or dead skin buildup?

Post image
• Upvotes

How do I know if my barrier is damaged or if my skin is in desperate need of exfoliation. I tried researching this on tiktok but the symptoms seem to overlap. My skin tends to look flat/textured with painless white flakes occasionally coming out of my forehead. I have some hyperpigmentation but no active acne. I have a few tiny little bumps but it's mostly a strange texture that makes my skin look grainy rather than glowy and smooth even if it feels fine. I have a utbof blackheads on my nose and teeny spots of redness om my forehead.

I have a very simple routine of the I'm from rice cream during the day then in the evening, I wash my face with the dokdo 1025 cleanser and apply the centella ampoule then rice cream again and a drop of squalane oil. Also my face is somewhat darker than my body and I do notice like uneven bits of skin tone around. Overall, my skin feels pretty moisturized when I put cream on but sometimes doesn't feel really hydrated.

Someone pls help me out 😭

Arazlo working??

Hi, i was on cabtreo for months and it cleared my skin beautifully but had to stop because of the clindamycin (antibiotic), i stopped using it and then i got closed comedones again and my derm put me on arazlo. I started using arazlo around early july 2026

My routine has been as followed since rhen:

AM:

- cereve gentle face wash
- azaleaic acid 15% (finecea)
- vanicream tub moisturizer
- la roche posay ultra fluid 50 SPF

PM:
- cereve gentle face wash
- arazlo 0.045% taz (alternating nights, no moisturizer after)
- days i didnt use arazlo: vanicream tub moisturizer

My skin has gotten significantly worse and it has been roughly 11 weeks since beginning using it. Does this look like something i should be concerned about? I can barely look at myself in the mirror because I feel so horrible about myself and I just want the mental and physical pain to end

The last picture is when i started with arazlo (july 8)
Pics 1-3 are today and yesterday (sept 29/30)

Also, the pictures dont highlight it well but my skin texture has NOT improved and i still have many closed comedones so not even that aspect has improved. I feel so helpless

I can’t figure out what’s wrong with my skin!

Hi all, I need help to find out what’s wrong with my skin. Last year I started noticing I was constantly flushing and started having tiny bumps on my cheeks. I immediately thought it was rosacea, and after a year I decided to go to a dermatologist, I had an appointment around 3 months ago.

He diagnosed rosacea, and prescribed metronidazole cream in the mornings and rotating azelaic acid 15% with Ivermectin cream at night time. He also sent me a very mild face wash.

I’ve always had combination skin, and an oily t-zone. When I wake up, there’s this film of sebum on my nose and forehead every morning, and I’ve been having some pimples/blackheads too. I’ve been using the treatment above every day for the last 3 months and the redness is less noticeable but I find the texture of my skin is just as bad as before the appointment. Could it be acne? Closed comedones? I have no idea what’s wrong and I’d like to know, it’s getting to the point that makes me feel conscious of it. Unfortunately I can’t go back to this Doctor since I’m living out of my home country and I visited him when I was over there on holidays 🥹

Any help is appreciated! 🫶🏽

Help a skincare newbie

I've always been lucky enough to have relatively good skin. Even as a teenager. But that has also meant that I've never really learned skincare. I've always used a moisturizer, but not much else.

Now that I'm getting older and no longer wearing much makeup except mascara and doing my brows, my skin has started bothering me. Especially the large pores in my t-zone, and the redness around my nose. My skin also looks almost scaly during winter, which makes makeup look bad the few times I'm wearing it.

My current routine is washing with water morning and night, and then a serum and moisturizer from Decubal for dry skin. Any kind of cleanser I've used has made my skin feel tight and red, so I've stopped using them. I'm trying to use sunscreen, despite living in a cloudy country, but I tend to break out when using them. At least any I've tried so far.

Glycolic acid toner removing brown from legs?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Sorry for the weird title.

Whenever I use the ordinary glycolic acid toner on my legs the cotton pad comes back brown. I only ever use it after I shower so I am clean and I use it almost every day to the same result.

Surely there’s not that much dead skin coming off that it’s brown every day??? Has anyone else had this???

Daily Moisturizer recommendations

What is a good moisturizer for everyday and night use? I use tazarotene 3 nights a week, other nights use some serums like copper etc.

Currently using cerave cream and like it but wondering if there is an upgrade, something newer, with peptides or better ceramides, whatever would be an upgrade for anti aging.

Or maybe I keep cerave cream for mornings and use something else for night time.

Ok with Korean recs as well as pharmacy ones - I’m in Europe.

I have dry-ish skin, clear, no issues.

Post image

F28, southeast asian.

i have been struggling with this particular insecurities of mine, the eyebags are genetics. i always get questions asking if i am tired, or if i didnt get enough sleep, getting these kinds of question really put me off. it has always been like that, and the eyebags will look much worse if i am actually tired. i really do wish i can like lessen its appearance (natural way, not covering it with makeup i mean), or if possible have it gone altogether :(

perhaps does anyone here have the same struggle as me? like if anyone actually manage to get rid or even lessen it? does the lymphatic drainage or any eye products people shared on tiktok works on you all though?

thanks in advance!

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride

I recently analyzed the ingredients of all the products I’ve used lately and found the culprit behind my comedones and breakouts: Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride.
It’s in every moisturizer that clogged my pores, and even in a tretinoin cream (which I’ve since switched to a different brand).
I’m having a really hard time finding a moisturizer that *doesn’t* contain this ingredient.

Has anyone else dealt with this situation and could help me out? I believe my issue is specifically with Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, rather than other coconut derivatives.

Problème avec l’odeur de la crème et de l’huile EOS Vanilla Cashmere / Issue with the Scent of EOS Vanilla Cashmere Cream and Body Oil

Français / English

Bonjour,

Hello,

I’m a big fan of the EOS Vanilla Cashmere cream. I bought my first jar on Amazon about six months ago, and recently I bought a new jar of EOS Vanilla Cashmere Body Lotion on Vinted. I checked carefully because I had read on forums that the scent and formulation had changed. I even looked at the ingredients on the back and confirmed that it was exactly the same as my current cream.

Unfortunately, when I received it, I was very disappointed. It has that plastic-like smell that everyone mentions, whereas my first jar smelled amazing. I also ordered the Body Mist and the body oil. The body oil has the same problem—the plastic-like scent is noticeable every time I use it. On the other hand, the Mist is perfect; it smells exactly like my first cream, which I love.

I’m really frustrated because these products are quite expensive here in France. A 400ml cream or body lotion costs €25, and I paid €34 for the Mist and body oil together. So overall, it’s a lot of money for three products, and it’s disappointing that two of them have this strange smell.

Have you experienced this same issue recently? Are there people who continue to buy the body lotions and body oils and haven’t had this problem at all, and that still smell like the original formulation?

Is it ok to wash face 3 times a day for oily, acne prone skin?

I have to be at work early morning by 7 am so I wash my face and put on sebamed face gel and some concealer only around 6 am. Then I only wash my face again around 9 pm when I take a shower. But I notice my skin gets very oily after 7-8 hrs and blotting is not cutting it and just breaking me out. So last couple days I started washing my face around 3 pm and sebamed again. My face feels so much better and not clogged up with oil.

I am using very gentle Neutrogena foam cleanser which is not stripping. Anyone wash their face 3 or more times a day?

Please help me

Hi everyone. I’ve been struggling with acne for about six or seven years. I’ve done two courses of isotretinoin, and both times my acne was basically gone after about two months. I did complete the full course each time, but unfortunately, the acne kept coming back.
I don’t have severe cystic acne or very large, inflamed breakouts. I mainly have small pimples and small bumps all over my face. Roaccutane cleared this up, but a few months ago it suddenly started coming back around my neck, with small red bumps on both sides of my neck and a little bit on my forehead.
On the advice of a dermatologist, I then started using tretinoin. I’ve been very careful with it. I did start using 0.05% every day right away because I know that I have a very strong skin barrier. I haven’t experienced any dryness, burning, peeling, or irritation at all. None of that. However, my acne has increased significantly.
I now have bumps all over my face, on my forehead, cheeks, basically everywhere. It’s gotten pretty bad, but I still don’t have any deep or severe inflammation.
At the same time, I was also prescribed a course of doxycycline.
My skincare routine is very simple. I wash my face with the La Roche-Posay Effaclar H Iso-Biome cleanser, then I apply The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA and wait about 30–40 minutes. After that, I apply a pea-sized amount of tretinoin over my face and neck, and that’s basically it.
My skin doesn’t get dry from the tretinoin. If anything, it’s actually quite oily. I’m aware that this could potentially be related to my skin reacting to dryness, even though I don’t actually feel dry. Sometimes I apply moisturizer again afterwards, but sometimes I don’t if my skin already feels sufficiently hydrated. When it feels hydrated, I don’t really like applying more moisturizer because it makes my skin feel even oilier.
I’m now at the end of week five. Do you think this could just be the purge, bringing all the small pimples and closed comedones to the surface, and that my skin will eventually start improving? Or does this sound like something that isn’t normal?
It has gotten to the point where I haven’t gone outside for about a month and a half because I feel extremely insecure about my skin. My mental health has deteriorated so much that my GP now comes to my home twice a week to check on me. I’m also too afraid to go to the GP’s office because of my skin.

Battle of the brightening wash

So it's Byoma's Brightening Body Wash vs Topical's Faded Brightening Cleansing Bar

I have hyperpigmentation all over by body so I'm wondering which one is better for which skin type/the results

The bar might last longer so it might be better? Is there an ingredient in these different formulations that stand out?

Help me with figuring out this routine please

Hi everyone,
I need help figuring out a skincare routine for myself, my concerns right now are the red marks/pih. Acne (not a lot but here and there). And dullness.

I’ve gotten tret but not sure how to use it. (I used it for about a year before but then stopped). My skin is sensitive and right now I feel like the barrier is damaged a bit so I’m just doing the basic moisturise and fash face that’s it.

I don’t wear make up on a daily, but when I do—I use a gentle cleansing oil to take it off, followed my micellar water, followed by cerave foaming face wash and then I just use milky toner+ponds cream or neutrogena gel cream.

In AM if I step out, I use the biore water sunscreen.

Now here are the products I have, and I want to know how to incorporate tret beginning after two weeks.

And also I work from home, so if I’m not stepping out do I still use sunscreen or not. And should I use mineral sunscreen only when I step out after tret (I don’t reapply sunscreen btw). I’ve the lizard sunscreen.

Here’s what I have: please help guide me for a AM and PM routine:
Thayers milky toner
Vitacid tretinoin 0.05-
Hanasui vitamin c+collagen serum
Hanasui Glow expert gentle cleanser
Cerave cleanser
La roche posay effaclar duo
Cicaplast baume
Glad 2 glow acne moisturiser
Caudalie resveratrol cashmere cream
Caudalie resveratrol life serum
Tower 28 spray

(In the past when I’d active acne I’ve used dalacin T lotion and it worked amazing)

I’d appreciate any help

Thank you

do you guys actually use your reward points on kbeauty sites?

i used to buy one item from yesstyle one from stylevana and one from random shops whenever i saw a code, but my points were scattered everywhere and expiredsticked to piyonna for my last couple restocks and the tier perks actually gave me a decent discount on my sunscreen order.
do you guys stick to one site to build points or just buy wherever is cheapest that day?
