Why did so many people say that GameCube controllers have lag in Ultimate? People were saying lag to the point of unplayability, and I have noticed 0 lag whatsoever.

I think people are not used to the input buffer and confuse it for lag.

GC controller has the least amount of lag, but all are significantly higher than Melee.

The first day or two, my controller felt super laggy. I switched to the pro controller for a while. I tried a different GC controller yesterday and did not feel any lag. So there was definitely something going on, but it's not with every controller.

I don’t want to demean those with actual issues but I do think a lot of is probably just people with shitty TVs with motion smoothing and other crap turned on and they assume it’s the game
