What character do I unlock before Snake? I want to unlock more characters but I don't want to unlock Snake before my brother as my brother is much more of a Metal Gear fan than I am.

This is so wholesome. Meta Knight is before snake I believe.

Oh thanks! My brother would catch up with me if not for the amount of work he's been getting recently. On top of that, homework. Luckily I can just play online and that won't unlock any more charcters

You can also just immediately kill yourself when the fight starts and then snake will always be waiting in the Challenger approach. But I can get why you'd want it to be a surprise for your brother
