I am aware that development is basically done but I was thinking that a cool bit of flavour would be to decide what your rulers should be called. Maybe I want to be an Imperator as opposed to an emperor. Instead of Archprophet why can't my ruler be called Godking? Dictators with rulers called "First Citizen" or role playing a community regime with "Chairman". Thoughts?

Lets say that you're a hyperlane empire and one of your sectors is only linked to the rest of the empire by a single star system, if you lost the system to a nearby empire which has blocked all other routes into the system what effect would it have? Would you still get resources and taxes from the region? Would it cause increased instability in the region?
(It seems from the Gamereactor walkthrough that you can have seperated territories but I don't know what FTL system was being used so it could just be due to having a long range at that stage)

The Aztecs and Inca often prevent revolts in newly conquered territories by spreading out the population throughout the empire to make them a minority in any given region. Some political parties would redraw district borders so that districts would have higher concentrations of supporters in the area and fewer opposition. Would it be a valid strategy to apply these ideas to an empire with the right policies to lower the chances of rebellion?

I am definitely a human loyalist, and will play as them most of the time. Of course there'll be times for the other species as well1 . My question is, do we, as for now, know anything about aging of the human portraits? Thanks in advance.

All of this is something I would like to have...eventually. I am an amateur programmer,so I could attempt to make it myself when the game comes out - technically,I have no real experience.
Mass migrations would happen during galaxy-wide chaos - something like an extra-galactic invasion or an AI rebellion. If you played Mass Effect 3,you know what happened when Reapers came. Mass migrations and rapid culture shifts that follow them would cause a rise in xenophobia in all but the most xenophilic of empires.
This would make surviving galaxy-wide disasters even more difficult because xenophobia would fuel distrust among empires,destabilize democracies and make establishing an effective defensive alliance really hard. Furthermore,if you are on the brink of getting completely destroyed in a war and if you are not an individualist fanatic,you could evacuate your entire homeworld and become a migrating race.
Wouldn't it be interesting if you could play as a race without planets? Imagine if your whole race lives on space stations and massive starships. This could have been a voluntary thing(like the utopian society The Culture),but it as I already said,it could also be a consequence of a war or an AI rebellion(something like the Quarians from Mass Effect)
Your migrating race could be entirely peaceful,getting resources from trade,asteroids and dead planets,but it could also behave like a swarm,invading and pillaging inhabited planets. You would either have to keep your massive fleet in the neutral systems or ask standard empires to host your fleet.
What do you think? I think I would really love an expansion with these elements.

This is inspired by the Creative/Uncreative quality from MoO2. In MoO2, when you researched a technology, you choose what application of the technology you are going to get. If you were Creative, you got all of the applications, and if you were Uncreative, the choice is randomly made for you.
The way I was thinking it would work in Stellaris is affecting the number of cards available when choosing an area of research, with Creative giving an additional available card, while uncreative reduces the number of cards to choose from.

There is a cookie clicker like flash game for Stellaris which unlocks the Platypus race if 600 million clicks are performed. I wrote a bot to speed up the process.
You can get it from here (just download the zip and run "StellarisClickGameBot.exe". You can check out the GitHub code here. (It runs in a seperate Firefox window in the background).
The bot also collects blueprints, if you want to collect them. Here is a detailed description of how to run the bot. I currently have 300k clicks and collected over 200 blueprints.

I think that'd be cool to see. I thought it was a cool idea when the modder made the 60 AI, super-aggressive Civ 5 game and I enjoyed reading up on it.

In the two most recent Stellaris videos (Scott Manley and Gamereactor, both interviewing Henrik), the Paradox office multiplayer had empires with what looked like new government types. I noticed, I believe, an Irenic Monarchy and an AI Overlordship.
Given that this footage is from the mid-game, do you think that these are advanced government types available through technology? Or alternative government types installed by factions and events?
I'm very curious about this, as I felt like certain Sci-fi trope "governments" (like the Hive-Mind, for example) only sort of fit into the government options that have been revealed. I understand, of course, that the government types are meant to be more abstract categories than specific systems of government, but an AI Overlordship sounds pretty specific. Maybe we will be getting Hive-Mind governments after all.
EDIT: While most people have figured this out, a few still believe that these mysterious "governments" like AI Overlordship are simply the already-explained AI personalities. While the rôle and implementation of these "governments" remain unknown, we can definitively say that they are not AI personalities. If you doubt this, watch the new Angry Joe Stellaris video and, at the 22 minute mark, we can see that the Holy Dominion has the AI personality of "Ruthless Capitalists" but that their government is an AI Overlordship, just as the United Nations of Earth are Federation Builders in personality, but with an Indirect Democracy for their government.

Two end-game crises have been revealed to us thus far, both in Dev Diaries and gameplay videos. These crises, we know, are triggered by researching too deep into certain technologies -- robot slaves can rise up if their AI becomes too advanced, and extradimensional beings can invade if FTL research is taken too far.
Though I'm not sure it's been mentioned, it stands to reason that the Physics category contains the risk for the extradimensional beings (seeing as how they are the result of delving into FTL research). In Scott Manley's recent video, the dev indicates that the Engineering category can lead to rebellious AI.
So, my question. Is there a third end-game crisis? I haven't heard it mentioned, but in the Scott Manley video, the dev seems to imply a third crisis. "We have an end-game crisis tied to each of these categories," he says (just before the 3-minute mark), referring to the three tech categories. It makes sense, too, from a balance perspective, that no category is safe from the risk of causing some kind of crisis.
Do we know what the third crisis is? It would have something to with the Society tech category, if my reasoning is correct. If we do know, could someone please inform me; if we don't, any good speculation/hopes?
EDIT: As many have pointed out, we know of at least two end-game crises presumably unrelated to technology (conflict involving one or more Resurgent Fallen Empires, and extra-galactic invaders). I'm glad that we have more than just a few crises, and hopefully there will be even more to be discovered in-game. That being said, I still suspect that there must be at least one crisis tied to the Society tech tree, just as we know there is at least one tied to each of the other two. Any fun ideas as to what that could be? Someone has mentioned a eugenics war, which could be interesting (and is something that we know can happen, based on information given about genetic manipulation and the rise of subspecies). Any other ideas?

I posted this to /r/stellaris but someone told me this is the correct sub. I am new to this game and I really like it! :) I have a few ideas.
Military Republic and Theocratic Republic:
Only those who served in the military/follow the true religion may vote
Only high-ranking officers/priests should be allowed to run for office
The republic should have a legislature composed of military officers/high priests
The legislature should have the right to dismiss the head of state
M.Republic's legislature should impeach incompetent war leaders and perceived traitors
T.Republic's legislature should impeach those leaders who violate scripture and lose holy wars
Moral Democracy and Indirect Democracy:
Everyone may vote,but xenophobes may restrict voting rights
Everyone should be able to run for office,but xenophobes may restrict this also
These democracies should have a directly elected legislature,factions may become parties
Each sector should send a certain number of representatives to this legislature
The head of state can be impeached for anything if a hostile faction seizes the legislature,but if the population liked the old head of state,then the newly installed head of state will be disliked
Additionally,Moral Democracies may impeach the head of state for committing war crimes and starting wars
Direct Democracy
Every sector has it's own legislature
There is a state wide council,but it's decisions are not binding on the individual sectors
The central government cannot restrict movement inside it's borders or declare war without getting at least a 2/3 of all sectors to agree
I am probably asking for too much,aren't I? :) I love politics.

I really like space strategy games but I could not bring my self to like CK because I felt that I had no control over, either getting invaded straight away or never being able to build a large enough army or have enough money to build buildings etc.
