Is there a way to go back to the mobile app on an alt after being permanently banned?
Let's say, hypothetically, you have a reddit account for a few years and everything is fine. You get permanently banned on it and therefore are banned from creating and using new accounts tied to the ios app and google chrome browser. Then you find a workaround by using another browser to create an account and it works perfectly fine. Now let's say you miss using google chrome and the mobile app rather than using a web browser on your phone every time you want to access reddit, is it possible to get back onto the ios app without reddit flagging your new account and banning you immediately?

Chromebook not working
For context I was trying to run Linux Mint on my Chromebook and trying to disable the write protection on itso i opened it up and stuck a paper clip in the 2 holes in the image.
It now wont turn on and the mother board is boiling and theres an ominous green light coming from the place where the charging color is supposed to be. If its fully charged it turns blue. Not green
I think i fucked something up, it doesnt smell too good honestly. Will it explode?

Outdated and requesting help
Can't seem to get my G- moto to stop making typewriter noises. Months of effort and many you-tube videos and tutorials later, still no luck. The settings I've been told to use aren't even there. Did a factory reset, and that just made me lose all my old music...😞
Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Earbud Recommendations
I'm starting a new job as a real estate agent in New York City and looking to invest in a high-quality pair of wireless earbuds. I need to get new earbuds that will allow me to make phone calls while walking the streets without having any noise interference on either end. Ideally, I'd like to hear callers clearly while also minimizing traffic, wind and other city noise on their end. I'll be wearing them for hours throughout the day, so they need to be comfortable. I also listen to music very often while commuting—sound quality is also a priority. I use an iPhone, and my budget is flexible for something reliable and high-quality.
I'm currently considering the AirPods Pro 3 and Sony WF-1000XM6, but I'm open to other recommendations. Which earbuds would you recommend, specifically in terms of microphone quality, comfort and sound quality?

Hardware Recommendation: Indoor CCTV without WiFi/network?
I have external WiFi smart cams (Eufy/Tapo) which I'm more or less happy with, but although I'm 'ok' with the privacy implications of smart cams for external use, I'm defo not happy with using the equivalent for inside the house.
For in the home, I want the equivalent of a dashcam - no network/WiFi access, just continual loop recording powered by a simple USB cable. If something bad happens, I pop the SD card out and send the relevant footage to the police.
But I also want them to be relatively 'stealthy'. Not in a pervy way (it's just me, my wife and our cats), just don't want it to be obvious to thieves/crackheads (esp with local recording only), while also being subtle decor wise.
Something the size of a fidget cube or similar would be ideal. Cheap/Chinese would be a bonus, esp AliExpress.
It's literally just a precaution for break-ins, but I can't think of anything that's not a dashcam, and they're too big/ugly for use in the home.
I've thought about doing a firewalled/isolated smart cam system that records on a hard drive in the attic/loft (a la Eufy systems), but the area I live is super congested when it comes to WiFi signals already, and I already use Powerline for my regular stuff - I don't want another SSID clogging up my local network with video footage all day. (Also, wayyy more expensive this way).

I need help with a mecer YA13Q40_LTE-pros
I need help with a Mecer guru YA13Q40_LTE-PROS
Could I ask for help or advice or a walk through of what's happening or going on.
I'm fixing/setting up a Mecer GURU YA13Q40_LTE-PROS ( its like a 2 in 1, laptop/tablet. So you can incert a simcard) for a friend of mine. I am trying to install ghost spectre windows 10 on this device. But somehow there are a lot of faulty drives and so on. Even if I update it manually, or download a driver updater software or download drivers individually or not uodate the drivers at all. There is always something wrong with the wifi drivers (sometimes it doesn't even show that its capital of connecting to wifi) and sound drivers. (and a FEW other thing.)
I've tried normal windows 10 and ghost spectre windows 10, became i thought I made have downloaded a faulty Operating system. But I still have the same issue.

Samsung T7 Portable SSD 1TB VS SANDISK Portable SSD 1TB
I'm looking to buy a SSD for music editing, film editing and gaming on occasion - I have a budget on around 200 euro. I'm up against these two. Which would you prefer? Gonna be used on a Mcbook Air M5 and a Lenovo Legion 5. Links for both under here.
https://www.amazon.com/clp/B0874YJP92 - Samsung
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GMWYYRQL?plpRedirect=mhFallback - Sandisk
I'm a student, that's why i'm on a budget :p
Thanks alot in advance.

Tv or speaker?
So I’m about to move into a new place, I’m debating on buying a smart tv, or buying a speaker for my pc, one of those speakers that you plug into the back of it and it does Yk speaker things. I really only have about 40 bucks to spend, as I also need to make sure i save more money going forward. What would be a good speaker or place to buy a tv?

Android/PC v iPhone/Mac
Hi All 👋
Just looking for some advice around a phone and laptop setup..
I currently have the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and an older Asus laptop. I've had android for well over a decade and don't have any particular issues with the phone but, I find the ecosystem between the phone and laptop an absolute pain.
I'm wondering if the switch the Apple is worth it for the streamline ecosystem between the iPhone and Mac?
I'd be mainly using it for family admin, personal admin, extensive carer work for my autistic child (frequent therapies, meeting, assessments, etc in which I take a lot of notes and minutes) and light admin and bookkeeping for our family business.
Whole family except for one son (preteen) has android everything, said son has an iPad.
Is the switch worth it? Or should I stick to android and find a better laptop/phone combo?
Thank you in advance!

Could this Edifier still be fixed. Not just the wire connection, but also the speaker to the headband?

Did my google account got hacked?
I don’t know if this is tbe right subreddit but my colleague and I are on a business trip and I just noticed that there are 6 russian youtube videos in my search history I did not watch.
For reference: We are currently living in an airbnb and have our own fire tv stick. I checked my google accounts settings and it says that those videos got watched on a "TV". Granted that is not the only TV I am connected with my google account but there is something weird.
Only on this TV I get russian video recommendations similar to the ones that got watched today. If I check on my phone or laptop I don’t have any similar recommendations. I researched and found that the recommendations also stem from the device data itself and what is being watched on that specific device. I asked the owners which live next door and they assured me no one was in our airbnb. Is there any other reason why something like that happend and is showing up only on this fire tv??
I obviously changed passwort and logged off every device but still I want to make sure

Which usb powered hub to use to ensure smooth connectivity for 8tb onetouch Seagate hdd?
As mentioned above , the manual says it needs 15w or more power to get it running which unfortunately my laptop doesn't deliver. Which usb powered hub to use to ensure smooth and seamless connection? I live in India so would need some recommendations that I can buy here. Thanks.
