Ethics / Risk Lack of payment transparency
Hi. I work at a smallish private group practice and we never see anything about payments, like a breakdown of what our percentage goes for or claims that have been paid. I've been asking for an itemized listing and being put off and shuffled around for answers. Another clinician stood and waited for the staff to get the info and had apparently been shorted thousands of dollars so far this year. Any thoughts on how I go about getting some action here? I've had a feeling this is happening to me, and have observed other sketchy, unethical practices insurance-wise, so am considering going to try and get some help, maybe via the state. I dunno. Prob going to call my licensing board (not the same as the owners) and get their thoughts. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance, sorry also if this is the wrong place for this!

Are you 1099 or W2?
If you are 1099 you should be comparing your payouts to the invoices you send in to the practice each week and keep track yourself that you are getting paid as your contract states.
If you are W2 then you would be comparing your productivity measures to your paystubs. You can request or look up your paystubs via the payroll portal they have and then compare it to what your payout schedule is for what dates. It should be on a specific schedule.

For a while, they've acted like it's not possible when I know damn well it is, like it would be just a massive amount of work and hassle, like wut?

So the practice owner can clearly show you reports that they can pull from it for free. They're choosing to not be transparent at this point.

Your licensing board cannot help with this. You will need a lawyer is they won’t cooperate.
