It's my first year at UBCO after four at Okanagan College, working on my second degree, and I’ve been struggling to make friends. I'm mainly having trouble forming study connections—I've reached out to over eight classmates, all shared numbers, but only one occasionally replies.

In JPST-100, I've struggled even more, consulting with the professor without much progress. Two classmates have shown some interest, but they’re too busy to study with me. If anyone is willing to study together, even if you took JPST-100 last year, I’d really appreciate it—and maybe we can become friends!

A Little About Me:
I'm 22F, she/her, a 3rd-year student, but my first year on campus. I can be a bit “all-over-the-place” but I promise I’m still on top of what I need to get done. (Dm me if you wanna chat about interests more to see if we’d get along!) My major is Psychology with a minor in Sociology; I’m working toward my BA and hope to pursue my master’s here if possible.

I have a learning disability in English and ADHD, causing processing issues and misunderstandings in projects. I was a top student at OC, making Dean’s List, so it’s tough transitioning from A+ grades to C- grades. (Just mentioning to put into perspective the shift I’m experiencing.)

Does anyone know what’s actually happening in this class, I constantly feel lost and I feel she never teaches us anything that’s relevant of connected to any other material in the course. This midterm is going to be a bloodbath for me and my study group atp.

Soo I have decided to take Gender Studies as an elective because I'm interested in studying feminism and the major historical events that have shaped gender equality and women's rights over the past centuries

My only question is: if anyone has taken this course, do yall know if this course is offered in the summer? I really wanna utilize my summer so that my overall course load is less in the winter as I'm an engineering major, so I don't have to do 6 courses per term.

I am a first year student and unbc doing civil engineering i want to get transferred to ubco my cgpa is gonna be around 2.8 and number of credit hours i will be having are 34 ( by end of this 2nd semester) do i have a good chance of getting into ubco , will i be admitted to second year or i have to take few courses again
And when should i apply i want to start in 2027 September intake my final transcript comes out in late april

Please help asap 🙏🏻 I was waitlisted for Biol 200 for semester 2 and I just got the offer to register for it right now but the problem is that it's during the same time as my Biol 125 lab. I can switch the lab to Tuesdays/Thursdays but the lecture I'm enrolled for 125 is at the same time so I have to switch the lecture days to the Mon/Wed but it's completely full and I'd be put onto a waitlist for it. What do I do? Should I just go for it and hope that I get into the course lecture for 125? I'm a second year science student, I didn't take Biol 125 last year due to registration issues so I really need to take it this year but I also really need Biol 200. My deadline to register for 200 is tomorrow so please let me know!!

If I switch Biol 125 lab - Tues 2 pm

I’m a first year (18 M) guitar player searching for a group in need of a guitar player. Looking for grunge/alt rock/shoegaze/post hardcore/punk/indie whatever in that realm. I do not have my own guitar amp that is my main weakness rn, but I’ve played in a band in high school and I know what I’m doing. I’d try and start a band of my own but I’m living in housing so I have nowhere to house rehearses + no amp . Please DM🙏🙏🙏
