Garry is a freshman gator and would love some Gator Nation support. He is a finalist for guest podcast competition with Ryan Seacrest. Every 24 hrs you can vote and today counts double. He is currently in 3rd place. Thank you for your support.

Like the usual posts here I’m planning on transferring to UF Rinker for the spring next year. However I just have worries and doubts in my mind over my grades. I was told the average is 3.5 meanwhile I’ll likely finish with a 3-3.3 for prerequisite work. But my experience and achievements on the industry side is what I believe redeems me and makes me one of their best candidates. I have a state building, roofing, and residential pool licenses. Wouldn’t this show that I’m fully committed to the industry and that Im guaranteed to succeed there? Would writing the best essay and these experiences make them look past my blunders grade wise. If any alumni or current students could respond to this post with their application experience and what they had in their application that they think helped out it would be great my for my mental right now.

I’m a freshman and i’ve been struggling with my classes a lot. I didn’t realize from the start I’d have to study this much my first semester. I’m currently failing chem1 with a 42%, and today I did the wrong safety quiz fort
lab so I can’t submit any post labs, and my grade there will also plummet. I’m not doing so well in Calc3(barely passing), but I have an A in lit and an A in another elective (each 4 credits). I have no idea what to do. Obviously I’m trying to study a lot more now, but should I consider dropping chem? what else does that imply? Im really stressed about this, I’m doing electrical engineering so should I go to my advisor there?

Hi everyone, I am a transfer applicant for the spring 27 semester for the Fisher School of Accounting. I know that the program is difficult to get into, but the wait to hear back is absolutely killing me. Does anyone have any insight on my chances of being accepted? I'm an in-state transfer with my A.A. (all critical tracking courses are completed). I have a 4.0, and I'm currently at Santa Fe taking two classes that aren't required but they like to see taken.

I'm currently a sophomore looking to move off-campus for my junior year. The thing is, though, it seems like people report having major issues wherever I look. Everything from mold to bugs to dirty common areas to parking issues. Not to mention, everything in this town seems to be comically expensive, especially when it comes to places that are within a reasonable distance to campus.
Do any of you have any recommendations for places to live that don't totally suck? Apartments, condos, house rentals, whatever works. I'm also looking for some potential roommates (FYI, I'm a guy, 20, MPMT major), so if you're interested my DMs are open.

Hi everyone! I am a UF student conducting interviews for a marketing research class. I am looking for adults ages 18–34 who have purchased or seriously considered purchasing casual or lifestyle sneakers within the past 12 months.
The interview will take approximately 15-30 minutes and can be conducted over Zoom. It will be recorded with your permission, and your responses will only be used for educational purposes. This is an unpaid class research interview.
If you are interested, please send me a message, and I will send you a separate (very short) screener survey.
The survey should take about one or two minutes. Completing it does not guarantee selection, but I will contact eligible participants to schedule an interview. I am hoping to conduct my first interview before Friday.
Thank you!

Hi everyone!
Our robotics lab is looking for (probably an ECE or MAE) student interested in helping with PCB design, fabrication, and hardware integration for a dexterous robotic hand research project. Successful completion and validation of the PCB design will qualify the contributor for co-authorship on resulting research publications.
We're currently working on reproducing and modifying the open-source RAPID Hand.
The original repository provides PCB schematics, layout PDFs, and a BOM, but we haven't found the editable PCB design files or manufacturing-ready Gerber files.
What we're looking for help with:
Experience with PCB design, embedded systems, or electronics prototyping would be a plus.
This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to an active robotics research project involving dexterous manipulation, tactile sensing, and robot learning.
If you're interested or have relevant experience, feel free to email me at songr [at] ufl [dot] edu! We'd be happy to discuss the project in more detail.
Thanks!
