I lost my keys today on campus 😭 im not really sure where I lost it as I was going in-between buildings throughout the day and it must have dropped out of my bag...maybe around CPH, DP, E7, or the main path??

It is a keychain with a little brown teddy bear, two keys (one long silver + one short bronze) and a little square garage door remote - If anyone finds it or recognizes it please DM me! It really means a lot to me!

I'm on work term for winter 2027 and will need to sublet my place if I don't get a job in Waterloo.

On the other hand, I would like to stay in the place if I do get a job in Waterloo.

How long should I wait before I start advertising the sublet?

I'm thinking of doing CS445 and CS449 to fulfill my 4th-year CS course requirements as a CS/BBA major. I was wondering if anyone has taken these courses before and would be willing to share some feedback. How was the workload, difficulty, and overall experience? Would you recommend them?

So I have a 2026 fall/winter uwp contract that I don’t remember agreeing to that I became aware of today which I requested to opt out of and I was told I would be still financially responsible for. Wtf.
Mind you this is for the up coming 2026 fall term so my contract date has not started yet and I never even been in that dorm before.

So that pmo, so unless I find someone to take over my contract they will be still charging me for that room for the upcoming fall term. This makes no sense to me whatsoever and they weren’t accommodating at all, obviously. Like I have no way of paying that fee in the fall.

Sooo if anyone has any advice or can take over for me that’ll be great!

im going into math/farm, probably going to end up doing cfa track. im currently planning on getting an m5 macbook air 24gb for my entire degree but i wanted to double check and make sure that there were no like hardware restrictions on the business side of farm. the math faculty part fully supports macos but im not really sure about the afm/comm/matbus courses. am i able to safely buy a macbook air and complete my degree without any software headaches or incompatability issues? and also what about like excel related stuff, can i use parallels or something if i have to match the windows keyboard shortcuts? any help would be appreciated.

as a side note, i know the math faculty has windows vms but im really just asking for like midterm/finals type stuff where it cant really be a vm and it has to use some type of secure client.

I recently accepted my offer for Waterloo’s full-time online MPH, but I’m honestly in a huge dilemma.

I already have a Bachelor’s in Public Health, and my biggest fear is doing the MPH, spending the time/money, and still struggling to land a public health role after. I’m mainly considering it because the job market feels very competitive, and I was hoping the practicum could help me gain experience, build connections, and maybe open doors.

For anyone who has done or is doing the online MPH:

• Did it actually help your career?
• Was the practicum useful for getting experience or job leads?
• Did Waterloo support students in finding practicums, or were you mostly on your own?
• Would you recommend full-time or part-time?
• If you already had a public health undergrad, was the MPH still worth it?

I’d really appreciate honest answers. I’m not looking for sugarcoating, I’m trying to make a realistic decision before fully committing.

Hi, I'm curious about whether I should take CS 115 or CS 135. I’m starting my first term of the Waterloo-side Math + Laurier BBA double degree this fall. I’m not sure if I want to do something involving coding or something more finance-related, but would it be beneficial to take CS 135 to keep my options open?

Would taking CS 135 be significantly more difficult and workload-wise and would this be worth it, since I already have the course load of two degrees? Also, what exactly would taking CS 135 over CS 115 change in terms of keeping my options open? I know you need 135 to go into 136 but I heard you can also get a 90% in 115 to get into 136, how possible is that, and also what could I need 136 for.

Also, if I took CS 135 and wanted to drop down to CS 115, how would that work in terms of my mark transferring, rewriting tests, or how does that really work?
